Tak and the Guardians of Gross is a relatively decent action-adventure title that's perfectly tailored for the younger gamer in the house. The humor is spot on and manages to set the game apart from the myriad of similar titles on the market, enough so that you may even forgive some its obvious flaws. It's too bad that Tak's three-year hiatus wasn't enough to fix the shallow combat, wonky camera system and linear story progression, but Tak and the Guardians of Gross still manages to be a worthy – if somewhat less impressive – successor to its last-gen predecessors.

In every console generation there are one or two games that, regardless of any flaws, hold tight in my memory even years later. I can still picture scenes from Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo System as if I just played it the other day. Despite a flurry of great games released in the past year, I still get the itch from time to time to play Jet Set Radio Future on Xbox. Your beloved games may be different, but I’m certain most long-time gamers have a few titles they treasure – the games they can never trade in. Ubisoft’s relaunch of Prince of Persia may just be such a game for me from this generation. It’s not the best game ever released on PC, PS3 or Xbox 360; it’s not even the best game released this year. And yet Prince of Persia is that rare game that has managed to tap into that part of me that would die defending Chrono Trigger or JSRF. It has its shortcomings, but I already sense that Prince of Persia will be one of the few games from this generation that I carry with me for the next decade.

Prince of Persia è una delle esperienze più ipnotiche dell’anno. Le ore in compagnia del gioco volano letteralmente. Il rovescio della medaglia è che una volta portato a termine rimangono pochi spunti che sollecitino la rigiocabilità. Ma va bene così. Perché da tempo non si ammirava un viaggio tanto meraviglioso. Il fronte strutturale non è però esente, non tanto da pecche, quanto da soluzioni un po’ troppo orientate verso il grande pubblico, anche di non videogiocatori. Il che si traduce in una linearità di fondo innegabile, e in combattimenti fascinosi quanto privi di quel pizzico di complessità in più che li avrebbe resi memorabili. L’inizio di una nuova era per il Principe di Persia? Senz’ombra di dubbio.

Nanti du moteur graphique d'Assassin's Creed, Shaun White Snowboarding est une réussite visuelle. Il assure également au niveau du contenu mais pourra poser problème à certains joueurs de par sa prise en mains délicate. Cependant, à mi-chemin entre arcade et simulation, il possède les qualités requises pour plaire aux fanatiques d'un sport extrême dont les représentants se font très rares.
