Let's be honest: we know this is a port, but you're getting an awful lot of stuff for only twenty bucks. And considering the fact that most of the content packed onto the disc is fun to play, there's really no reason for a Twisted Metal fan to miss this one. Those of you new to the car combat genre may find it a little eccentric, but we assure you that driving around at breakneck speeds and firing missiles out of a truck is very satisfying. Ultimately, we'd like to think of Extra Twisted as a pretty sweet deal -- especially if you're a Twisted Metal junkie.

PixelJunk Monsters è un titolo di pregiata fattura, davvero giocabile ed impegnativo, che riesce -nonostante una difficoltà alle volte eccessiva- a far innamorare il videogiocatore. Consigliatissimo a tutti ed immancabile per gli amanti degli strategici in tempo reale, questo gioco si rivela un must buy pur nella sua estrema semplicità. La mancanza di ulteriori modalità si farà sentire ma il richiamo della foresta vi porterà a cercare in continuazione la strada migliore per portare a termine questo divertentissimo e ragionatissimo “tower defense game”.

Circle Of Doom ne s'intègre à la série des Kingdom Under Fire que parce qu'il en partage l'univers, et nous recommandons tout de même aux fans d'y repenser à deux fois avant de lâcher leurs euros. Les mécanismes de la série, autrefois baignés de stratégie hardcore, ont été délaissés au profit d'un hack'n slash relativement fade et daté. On ne considérera donc cet épisode que comme un interlude décevant, destiné à faire patienter les stratèges qui sommeillent en nous.

Il y a deux façons pour un jeu d'asseoir sa renommée : être très bon ou être extrêmement mauvais. Ambassadeur de la seconde catégorie, B-17 Fortress in the Sky est un de ces titres rares qu'il ne faut surtout pas manquer.

Nel caso di Everyday Shooter il successo della formula e la permanenza del titolo negli hard disk è decretato soprattutto dai gusti personali, dalla disposizione del giocatore a “lasciarsi andare” nell’esplorazione di un prodotto fuori dagli schemi, che è importante anche per la sua genesi e la sua semplicità. L’assenza di una demo si spiega con l’impossibilità di “riassumere” e concentrare un titolo che appare come uno shooter “dotato di una precisa sceneggiatura cromatica e musicale”, e dunque agli utenti incuriositi dalla sommaria descrizione che si Everyday Shooter si è data, non resta che esaminare il trailer, disponibile anche sul sito ufficiale del gioco (che può essere acquistato anche per PC). Dedicato a chi ha amato Rez, a chi ama il suono pulito di una chitarra e non è ancora affetto dal morbo di una next gen votata alla metodica eliminazione della componente fantastica e favoleggiante.

Wow – es ist schon erstaunlich, wie sehr mich Tetsuya Mizuguchis audiovisuelles Meisterwerk selbst nach sieben Jahren noch in seinen Bann zieht. Rez ist eines dieser zeitlosen Spiele, die man immer wieder aus der Schublade holen und stundenlang zocken kann. Wer einmal durch die faszinierende Welt aus organisch-technischen Gebilden geflogen ist, kann sich dem bunt leuchtenden Treiben auf dem Bildschirm nicht so schnell wieder entziehen. Um so erfreulicher, dass sich jetzt auch Xbox360-Besitzer durch den Cyberspace ballern dürfen – und das für läppische 800 Punkte. Neue Levels gibt es zwar nicht und außerdem haben geübte Spieler nach nur zwei Stunden den Endboss zum ersten mal besiegt. Doch danach es ist ungemein motivierend, noch viele Abende lang den Assault-Modus sowie die versteckten Levels mit allen möglichen Grafik- und Sound-Modifikationen zu meistern. Das Design und die Musik-Tracks des Originals wurden zum Glück nicht angetastet. Doch die auf eine hohe Auflösung aufpolierte Grafik steht dem Spiel gut zu Gesicht und auch die subtile 5.1-Abmischung ist gelungen. Außerdem könnt ihr euch neuerdings mit Mitspielern und Freunden aus aller Welt in der Highscore-Attacke messen und euch Spielaufzeichnungen anschauen. Also, wenn ihr nicht gegen Shooter oder Techno-Ästhetik allergisch seid, solltet ihr schleunigst den Live-Marktplatz ansteuern. Gute Reise!

C'est un vrai plaisir que de retrouver nos Sims sous une autre latitude et dans une situation inédite. Certes, le mode scénario n'est pas des plus emballant et la gestion de la caméra est mal adaptée aux étendues sauvages, mais il serait dommage de se priver de cet épisode ensoleillé en plein mois de janvier.
