There’s a reason Sensible World of Soccer is considered a sports classic. Unlike most sports games that feel dated and tired years later, this one holds up quite well. It’s simple and fast, removing two of the hurdles many people find with the sport of soccer. The game also features an admirable amount of depth for a game that can be played with just a d-pad and the A button. If you aren’t nostalgiac or hardcore about your soccer, you might be better served with something more recent. If you are, well then you don’t need us to tell you what to do.

Nonostante siano passati dieci anni dalla sua pubblicazione, Sensible World of Soccer è un prodotto godibilissimo tutt'oggi. La marea di opzioni e squadre, il gioco online, la grafica semplice, ma piacevole conquisteranno i cuori dei nostalgici e di tutti gli amanti del calcio. La sua enorme freschezza fa si che ci si chieda come mai abbiano riproposto un semplice remake di una vecchia versione e non l'abbiano aggiornata con menù, rose e competizioni attuali, in modo da poter conquistare anche tutti coloro che non hanno vissuto l'epopea dei Bianconeri di Luppu e Dal Puari. Resta comunque un acquisto consigliatissimo a tutti gli amanti del calcio, delle vecchie versioni del gioco e a coloro che cercano un titolo immediato divertente con il quale poter passare spensierate serate in compagnia degli amici.

Atlus one-ups themselves with the first real sequel in the Trauma Center series. New Blood features an all new co-op mode and a fresh story to go with it, featuring two new doctors. This co-op comes at a price, though; Atlus made every operation challenging for two players, and didn’t bother scaling it back for solo gamers. If you can stomach the difficulty, New Blood is an excellent Wii game.

Origins has all the hallmarks of a great Silent Hill game, but it does nothing to eradicate the series' faults. Predictably, fans of the franchise will find it more enjoyable than others.

Soldier of Fortune: Payback è, in definitiva, un prodotto inadeguato a rivaleggiare con i più alti esponenti di questa generazione ludica, così come incapace di rappresentare tutte le innovazioni tecniche e strutturali con cui gli FPS e l'industria del videogioco in generale hanno saputo arricchire il mercato. Un titolo in cui l'esasperazione (a volte parodistica) della violenza è l'unico elemento “di carattere”, afflitto da pesanti difetti quali un'assoluta linearità ed un'IA mal programmata. Anche i patiti della guerra virtuale non faticheranno a trovare di meglio: Payback non riuscirà a resistere per molto nei Tray di alcuna console, anche per la ridotta longevità e il comparto multiplayer assolutamente sotto le aspettative.

Après la déception du spin-off spécial années 80, ce Guitar Hero 3 rassure sur l'avenir de la série malgré le départ de son créateur. Clairement le meilleur volet à tous points de vue, malheureusement, cette déclinaison PC est aussi la moins convaincante. Le format 16/9 écrasée à la masse ou la guitare piochée dans les invendues de Guitar Hero II sur Xbox 360 témoignent du laxisme qui a présidé à ce portage, mais c'est surtout le frame-rate chaotique qui se montre le plus dommageable au titre.

Adoptant une approche comparable à celle du précédent volet, Alexandra Ledermann 8 y apporte quelques changements mais s'obstine surtout à conserver éternellement les mêmes défauts. Souffrant d'une réalisation et d'un gameplay dépassés, le titre ne réussit jamais à se rendre plaisant à jouer et donne une trop grande place à l'aventure au détriment de l'équitation pure. Les fidèles suivront, mais les autres n'auront encore aucune raison de franchir le pas.

Crash Time cumule beaucoup trop de défauts pour espérer s'imposer, que ce soit chez les joueurs, qui le jugeront bien fade, ou chez les fans d'Alerte Cobra, qui n'y retrouveront pas l'essence de leur série fétiche. Quitte à rester devant sa télé, autant regarder l'intégrale des quelques 200 épisodes sortis que de jouer à Crash Time, c'est probablement moins douloureux.
