Surprisingly, Konami's licensed TV game, which rips off Nintendo's Smash Bros. wholesale, does a good job of replicating it. Unlike Activision's Shrek, which also "borrows" Nintendo's game, Xiaolin Showdown content matches the game style it takes, so it's a good combination. Aside from a lack of originality, repetitive levels, and a dull-as doornails storyline and dialog, BottleRocket's game is a relatively solid little game that will satiate your lust for button-mashing brawling. Also, the one- to four-player, non-online gameplay poses a certain simplistic charm that's likeable in this day and age of online competition.

Ihr fahrt auf TrackMania ab oder habt den Scramble-Modus in Rollcage: Stage 2 geliebt? Dann werdet ihr trotz des gekürzten Umfangs Spaß mit GripShift haben. Die verqueren Strecken fahren sich allein wegen der unterschiedlichen Spielziele mit jeder Umrundung anders und die weltweite Online-Rangliste kickt euch so lange in den Hintern, bis ihr eure Wunschplatzierung erreicht habt. Weil die Freude am Fahren so unkompliziert und motivierend ist, ist es allerdings ein Jammer, dass Sony Online den Editor sowie die zahlreichen Minispiele sang- und klanglos gestrichen hat. Gerade mit einer Community, die immer neue Strecken baut und ihre Zeiten ständig unterbietet, hätte man zeigen können, wie gut man gegen Xbox Live! gewappnet ist… Auf Dauer kann das abgemagerte GripShift leider nicht fesseln. Aber es lädt immer wieder zu einer schnellen Runde ein.

Kororinpa è sicuramente un buon prodotto. Il gameplay è collaudato e funziona molto bene; il sistema di controllo è perfettamente integrato con il WiiRemote, precisissimo - anche troppo -, è semplice da capire ed è adatto veramente a tutti. Il gioco, comunque, richiede una certa dose di attenzione e di strategia e mal si adatta alle sessioni più "distaccate"; Kororinpa può essere considerato un gioco "mordi e fuggi", ma la noncuranza dei movimenti spesso si rivela fatale. Quasi mai il gioco è frustrante, se non agli inizi, a causa della grandissima sensibilità del WiiRemote. Presto, però, ci si abitua e tutto scorre liscio. Un plauso agli sviluppatori per la assoluta buona caratterizzazione delle varie biglie, diversificate per forma, colori e caratteristiche (velocità, rimbalzo), che permettono al giocatore di poter affrontare i (pochi) livelli con approcci sempre differenti. Gli schemi si dimostrano ben congegnati, con picchi di difficoltà mai troppo elevati, ma non per questo poco adatti al giocatore navigato. Molto azzeccato lo stile grafico e musicale, deficitario - invece - il comparto visivo e tecnico, con texture e modellazione poligonale di basso livello, alcuni artefatti grafici chiaramente evitabili, e l'assenza del supporto al progressive scan (che nel 2007 non è assolutamente accettabile). La durata del gioco non è elevata, ma anzi è molto bassa, ma il fattore rigiocabilità è altissimo. Battere i record, semplicemente provare i livelli con approcci differenti, vuoi per le diverse biglie o per semplice curiosità, o tentare di prendere tutti i cristalli verdi - impresa non semplicissima - sono un buon motivo per non far prendere polvere alla scatola del gioco. Kororinpa, comunque, ben si difende e merita davvero l'acquisto. In un futuro sequel, però, ci si aspetta di più: d'obbligo un uso più innovativo del WiiRemote (che finora ha sostituito con risultati ottimi il vecchio caro joypad), ed un comparto tecnico all'altezza. Gioco promosso.

I have to admit, I am somewhat addicted to the Marvel Trading Card Game. It's not a great game by any measure, but it does an excellent job of tapping into the collector's mentality of comic-book fans. Upper Deck's Vs. system is inferior to Magic, Munchkin and Pokemon, but is still enjoyable. The fact that it taps into so much of Marvel's mythology may be reason enough for Marvelites to give this a try. Just be warned that the game is far less than it could have been due to weak visuals, repetitive sounds and a story mode that is too long for its own good. MTCG isn't as enjoyable as its tabletop counterpart, but it has proven to be a nice distraction that, for some intangible reason, keeps drawing me back.

Ca ne sentait déjà pas le chez-d'oeuvre, c'est pire que ça. Finalement, Tokyo Drift ne vit qu'à travers son tuning poussé mais ne possède en dehors de ça que de lourdes tares qui en font un titre que même les connaisseurs auront du mal à terminer. Il vous laissera un bien mauvais souvenir.

It's nice to see a sports franchise build upon the previous year's gains with some new solid game features. Whereas MLB '06 came across as a basic correction of buggy franchise play, MLB '07 actually tries to push the series and the sport further ahead particularly thanks to its Road to the Show career mode, redesigned pitching system and online options. Look no further, because The Show has gone back to back for the crown of the best baseball game around.

Encore une fois, voilà un add-on quasiment indispensable pour les inconditionnels des Sims 2. Grâce à son contenu très riche et à ses nouvelles fonctionnalités, Au Fil des Saisons parvient à s'imposer sans mal.

Xiaolin Shodown aurait pu être un titre sympathique si son système de combat n'avait pas été aussi mal conçu. Le jeu risque de beaucoup peiner pour amuser qui que ce soit, même les fans indulgents de la série.

Voilà un titre qui aurait pu être une bonne surprise, avec son arborescence d'attaques assez riche et sa réalisation soignée. Mais ses problèmes de précision ainsi que les différences finalement peu marquées de progression du personnage sont un handicap qui pèse lourd. Les amateurs de la série lui pardonneront toutefois facilement ses errances.
