Smash TV worked because it constantly switched up enemy and power-up types in quick 30-second rooms that would branch out into all-new areas immediately afterward. But Cash Guns Chaos doesn't do that. Instead, we're stuck in flat, uninteresting squares with limited visibility and enemies that match their environments so closely that they become impossible to see. Boss battles and gun upgrades are fun, yes, but they happen so infrequently that they're not worth fighting for. Perhaps this one will get better in 2007 when it will benefit from expanded options and stages via cross-platform compatibility with the PSP version -- but for now, it isn't worth the time it takes to download.

Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses is a refreshing surprise, offering much more innovation and fun that you'd expect to find in a product brought to you by Mattel. Its challenge is low, making it a great choice for younger gamers just starting to discover platformers. The only thing holding the title back is its limited use of the DS's power ¿ the graphics, sound and overall feel of the game are still solidly Game Boy.

Small Arms n'est pas vraiment une bonne pioche. Désireuse de copier ambitieusement Super Smash Bros, la licence de Gastronauts Studios s'avère en fin de compte décevante. Doté d'une IA bancale et d'un gameplay maladroit, le soft ne parvient pas à nous passionner plus d'une heure. Un jeu à éviter donc, même à 400 points Microsoft.

L'un dans l'autre, Jeanne d'Arc parvient, sans rien réinventer du genre, à proposer une expérience solide, agrémentée de quelques bonnes trouvailles. Si le scénario est assez inégal, on suivra l'histoire sans trop se prendre la tête et en profitant des quelques rebondissement distillés ça et là pour en relancer l'intérêt. Un jeu finalement assez honnête.

An amusement park is a complex beast to get a hold of, but Thrillville makes all of the parts easy and fun to take care of. The simulation aspects are translated smoothly over from the PC roots to its console home and simulation fans will find a lot to like here. There are some hiccups, such as the visitor management, but in general the variety holds up. If anything, the gameplay is too gentle and not nearly demanding enough. There are too many elements that add to the feeling, but become entirely optional. Greatness is within Thrillville's grasp, but it doesn't push it all the way through.

NFL Street 3 actually manages to take a step backwards on the PSP, primarily thanks to the limitations of the system's hardware. While it packs in the game modes from the console title, camera angles will complicate play, along with weaker visuals and technical disappointments. It's still a decent football title, but it definitely gets lost in translation from the PS2 over to Sony's handheld.
