Happy Feet as a videogame very much mimics the movie in that it falls well short of expectations. While the title does feature the same story and characters as its silver screen counterpart, it lacks the charm. The basic gameplay mechanics are incredibly simple and they repeat so often that the action is doomed for monotony. The end result is an experience that teeters on the mediocre. Yes, your four-year-old might find something to like here, but there are far better kids' games on the market. Unless you or your child is a Happy Feet fanatic, and I can't imagine that someone like this even exists, keep moving because there's very little to see here.

Not enough was done to the Phantasy Star Online formula for this newest title in the series to feel fresh. Simply adding new weapons and techniques, changing the environments and adding a few extras such as the bedroom isn't enough when the online RPG has become a fully blown phenomenon. Online RPGs have groomed us to expect to get a vibrant, ever changing world that is full of things to explore and quests to complete. Instead Phantasy Star Universe offers a few hub cities, cookie cutter environments and pointless missions. Even with the addictive qualities, the lack of variety in gameplay makes this one grow old quickly. All of the problems are exasperated on the PC when you look at the flood of other great online RPG¿s available on the platform. Simply put, the PC is an online RPG player¿s dream. The lesser cousins on the consoles fall short when they get brought over without any improvements.

Echoes of Faydwer est tout simplement la meilleure extension pour Everquest 2 disponible à ce jour. Le nouveau continent est très grand et la nouvelle race des Fae est intéressante à jouer car elle permet de grimper très facilement sur les rochers et autres collines. A signaler aussi que cet add-on est vendu en magasin ou en téléchargement sur le site officiel sous forme de pack comprenant Everquest 2 et toutes les extensions précédentes pour un tarif très bas. Un rapport qualité-prix vraiment intéressant.

Cabela's African Safari is a streamlined version of past titles that is far more accessible to the average player. While this may irk long-time fans, the lack of bird calls and any significant hunting -- other than shooting -- is enough to keep you interested for a few hours. Unfortunately, the game is still about running around somewhat aimlessly, looking for animals, and shooting them. While the campy nature of African Safari is good for a few laughs, they are at the game's own expense. Hunting fans will have to wait yet again for the next -- and first -- great hunting game.

Le dernier ajout de taille, la caméra libre, achève de tuer l'intérêt des parties en solo. Il révèle tous les archaïsmes de la version originale, plutôt bien camouflés par l'unique vue de dessus alors disponible. La champ de vision très limité des ennemis, l'impossibilité de se déplacer en mode visée, l'absence de refonte des niveaux ou de l'IA, tout contribue à donner un méchant coup de vieux à ce titre sinon exceptionnel. Il reste une ambiance extraordinaire, des cinématiques somptueuses et des dialogues hélas insupportables lors des échanges radio, qu'il est heureusement possible de zapper. Metal Gear Solid 3 : Subsistence est du coup une excellente affaire pour ceux qui seraient passé à côté du jeu original, vu son prix. Pour tous les autres, y compris pour les fans absolus, ce n'est malheureusement qu'une curiosité.

Ace Combat X is certainly a decent enough flight sim, and well worth a look if you're a fan of previous titles, but it's just an average addition to a long running series.
