Eigentlich hätte Scarface ja einen Award verdient – zumindest auf der PS2. Schuld am knappen Scheitern ist jedoch Vivendis Zensurschere, welche der deutschen Fassung nicht nur äußerliche, sondern auch inhaltliche Wunden zugefügt hat. Es wurde nämlich nicht nur der Blutgehalt herunter geschraubt. Durch das Wegfallen von tödlichen Kopfschüssen, munitionssparenden Finishing-Moves und mehr, steigt auch der teils ohnehin schon nicht einfache Schwierigkeitsgrad nochmals deutlich an. Das sorgt für Frust, der nicht hätte sein müssen. Für PC-User kommt erschwerend hinzu, dass sie zudem noch mit einer äußerst lieblosen Portierung abgespeist werden: Die Steuerung ist ein Graus, die Grafik hinkt aktuellen Standards um Jahre hinterher und diverse Bugs zehren ebenfalls an den Nerven. Von Letzteren haben die Entwickler teilweise sogar gewusst. Doch statt sie auszumerzen, haben sie lieber eine Textdatei mit Lösungsvorschlägen à la brechen sie das Spiel einfach ab und starten sie nochmals von vorn mit auf die DVD geklatscht – Na vielen Dank auch für die Hilfe… Die Atmosphäre der Filmvorlage kommt dank des unverwechselbaren Protagonisten, hervorragender Synchro und authentischer Kulisse jedenfalls erstklassig rüber und auch spielerisch ist Tony Monatanas Rachefeldzug mehr als nur ein weiterer GTA-Klon. Zwar stand Rockstars Referenzserie auch hier eindeutig Pate, aber statt einfach nur mehr oder weniger schlecht abzukupfern, wurde das Spielprinzip tatsächlich sinnvoll verbessert und erweitert. Neben The Warriorssicher eine der bis dato besten Filmumsetzungen – selbst in zensierter Form.

Overall, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos is a pretty fun game. It's not perfect by any means and has some bugs that can be annoying, but the battles themselves offer a good variety of strategies set in a dark and brooding environment. There are some presentation issues that help the game not feel as Warhammer-ish as it could, but there's still a lot to like here with the variety of units and good use of heroes. While short of an Editor's Choice, I'd definitely recommend checking out the demos on Fileplanet if you've been interested in Warhammer: Mark of Chaos and are still on the fence. It definitely got a lot to offer.

Si elle ne révolutionne pas le jeu de poker, cette version 2007 de World Series Of Poker apporte tout de même une meilleure interface qui profite à l'ergonomie de l'ensemble. Les outils statistiques sont aussi bien pratiques et serviront sans aucun doute aux joueurs débutants. Enfin, le mode multijoueur est un réel atout indispensable au moindre jeu du genre.

Tony Hawk's Project 8 is a sad finale to the current-gen versions of the series. This is clearly just an attempt to cash in one last time on the franchise. The level design is mediocre and the stripping of features is unacceptable. Nail the Trick is not particularly exciting on current-gen consoles and has been made too simplistic. Worst of all is the changes to manuals, which is completely unwarranted. If this is representative of the future of Tony Hawk, the series is in serious trouble.

Bien différent du concept classique de la série Pokémon, cet opus marginal trouvera quand même son public pour son côté addictif, malgré son système de jeu particulier. La durée de vie est au rendez-vous, et les fans ne résisteront pas au plaisir de se glisser pour la première fois dans la peau d'un Pokémon, et non pas de son dresseur.
