Let's Sing Abba è ovviamente un titolo destinato agli appassionati della band svedese, eccellente per trascorrere piacevoli serate all'insegna del karaoke. La serie procede su una strada ben rodata, senza proporre innovazioni di alcun genere, e dà il suo meglio nella modalità multigiocatore locale. Non manca una modalità multiplayer online dal matchmaking abbastanza rapido, ma è sul divano con gli amici che Let's Sing esprime al meglio il proprio potenziale e offre il massimo del divertimento. Auspichiamo una revisione della app Let's Sing Mic per smartphone iOS e Android, purtroppo tutt'altro che eccelsa dal punto di vista tecnico; il microfono resta, come in passato, la migliore opzione per dimostrare le proprie qualità canore.

Although I really wanted to see Airoheart join the upper echelon of indie ‘Zelda Clone’ experiences, its numerous issues see it fail to reach anywhere near as high. Its overworld is fun to traverse, and its several dungeons can be entertaining if you don’t fall victim to their lack of in-dungeon maps, but the story is generic and predictable and its combat and movement is mediocre at best.

New Tales From The Borderlands is op zich een waardige opvolger voor diens voorganger. In een vijftal episodes met een totaalduur van tien uren zullen spelers wederom heel wat charismatische personages ontdekken en hun avonturen beleven. De conclusie laat echter wat te wensen over en soms geven de vele keuzeopties ook niet veel resultaat, terwijl de simplistische gameplay hier en daar ook wat roet in het eten gooit, maar over het algemeen zullen de meeste fans of liefhebbers van het genre dit geheel voldoende weten te smaken.

New Tales from the Borderlands es exactamente lo que imaginas: una aventura basada en la fórmula de Telltale que, en esta ocasión, contiene los cinco episodios de principio a fin. Contiene toda la irreverencia, estilo de humor y violencia injustificada de la serie matriz, pero creo que la construcción de la trama y los personajes no logra enganchar como otros juegos que han utilizado su fórmula. Sus personajes tienen objetivos simplones y conflictos poco definidos y las decisiones se han construido de forma tan sutil que pasan desapercibidas. Eso sí: es posiblemente la aventura tipo Telltale más lograda en lo técnico, además de una captura de movimientos y expresiones faciales sorprendente.

As stated in the opening, New Tales from the Borderlands doesn’t top the amazement of the original game. That still doesn’t stop it from delivering an impressive adventure game in its own right, however, filled with an enjoyable story about family, a lot of great bits of comedy, a deeper look into different parts of the Borderlands universe, and of course, the sheer joy that is L0U13. New Tales from the Borderlands ends up being a mostly worthy successor to one of the all-time greats…now here’s hoping we just don’t have to wait another seven years for a sequel.

There are plenty of moments in Gotham Knights that make for a good time - the camaraderie between the heroes is enjoyable, and the city itself looks great. However, the combat is too basic and monotonous to stand on its own, and the story struggles to get going before it falls apart.

Gotham Knights, orphelin de la figure iconique de Batman, reprend le flambeau avec panache. Nos héros font honneur au Chevalier Noir le temps d’une aventure grisante inspirée des comic books. La ville de Gotham, plus sombre que jamais, les combats techniques et nerveux, et la complémentarité des quatres justiciers soufflent un vent de fraîcheur super-héroïque sur l’univers de Batman. Sans être parfait avec ses défauts de caméra et ses missions parfois redondantes, le titre de Warner Games frappe fort et prouve que Batman n’est pas le seul héros digne de ce nom à Gotham.

Les aventures d’Anu, d’Octavio et de Fran ont bien du mal à atteindre la folie furieuse que nous étions en droit d’attendre d’un jeu estampillé Borderlands. Parfois irrévérencieux, souvent conventionnel, le titre signé Gearbox se contente du minimum syndical pour un Interactive Drama de 2022 en matière de gameplay. La quasi-absence de choix cornéliens et le rythme qui s’effondre passé le troisième chapitre empêchent de lui pardonner son manque d’ambition. Le problème de New Tales from the Borderlands n’est pas qu’il ne réinvente pas la roue, mais qu’il fait tourner le genre en rond. Heureusement, son humour lui octroie un capital sympathie non négligeable.

On ne pouvait pas terminer l’année 2022 sans écrire un test de Vampire Survivors, véritable phénomène qui a connu l’anonymat avant un engouement mérité. Finalement, c’est une trajectoire qui épouse à merveille la boucle de son gameplay. Où on commence petit face à des chauves-souris, avant de finir surpuissant, assailli de toute part par les pires créatures du folklore fantaisiste. Et derrière son approche simpliste, Vampire Survivors se paie l’audace de cacher une richesse addictive. On se surprend alors à enchaîner les parties, après s’être promis qu’on n’y toucherait jamais, ou jamais plus. Pour moins de 5 € (voire 0 € sur iOS et Android), ce petit jeu sans réelle prétention, ni ambition assumée, a vraiment tout d’un grand.

Non nego che New Tales from the Borderlands mi abbia deluso, anche se gli riconosco il coraggio di certe scelte narrative, qualche invenzione estrema e demenziale davvero spassosa e un comparto grafico-artistico più ispirato del predecessore. Il problema è che la trama non riesce quasi mai a decollare, i dialoghi sono a volte sfiancanti, il ritmo altalenante e gli elementi di gameplay (soprattutto i Quick Time Event) meno ispirati del previsto. Visto quanto mi era piaciuto Tales from the Borderlands, mi aspettavo sinceramente di meglio.
