Technical issues aside from the moment this game has potential. I love the fact that the Turtles have been given a bit more complexity in this game, but the mark is just a bit off. I honestly would have called this an okay game but had to knock it down with all of the hoops I had to jump through to finish the game. This won’t be the end for TMNT games and after some patches and maybe even a good sale, a fan of the reptilian ninjas may enjoy this but for now, I don’t think I’d recommend to my friends.

It’s hard to decide whether I enjoyed my time with RetroRealms: Halloween or RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead more, which is a testament to how great both games are. Not only do both titles stand on their own, but they serve as great counterparts to each other with Halloween being slightly slower with more difficult bosses, and Ash vs. Evil Dead being much faster paced but with easier boss battles. Each minute of these games ooze with great level design, fun enemies to defeat, intricate and often hilarious or spooky backgrounds, lots of collectibles and upgrades to unlock, a ton of small details sure to please fans of each series, and blood - lots and lots of blood. As it stands, both Ash vs. Evil Dead and Halloween are great homages to their respective IPS as well as faithful love letters to the 16-bit games of yesteryear and are well worth your hard-earned money.

Unknown 9: Awakening è un'opera che vive delle contraddizioni fra l'ambizione e le idee da grande videogioco AAA e la sua reale natura, che si risolve in un'esecuzione al di sotto degli standard contemporanei: mentre Reflector Entertainment ha scommesso tutto sul racconto della storia di Haroona (Anya Chalotra) e sulla costruzione dell'universo dei Nove Ignoti, la realizzazione tecnica ha finito per mettersi irrimediabilmente di traverso. Si tratta di un'avventura lineare che, sulla carta, vorrebbe mescolare l'azione a base di poteri magici, le ambientazioni mozzafiato ai quattro angoli del globo e la storia di formazione della giovane protagonista per gettare le fondamenta di un grande universo narrativo, ma che finisce per annaspare in mezzo a un mare di problemi tecnici e a una rappresentazione non all'altezza della situazione.

Nintendo nous délivre le party-game ultime avec Super Mario Party Jamboree. Le meilleur mode "classique" jusqu'à présent en plus d'une pléthore de nouveaux modes de jeux si vous voulez une expérience différente, des nouveaux personnages, des nouveaux plateaux, plus d'une centaine de nouveaux mini-jeux... C'est une régalade du début à la fin à savourer sur son canapé avec ses amis comme habituellement, mais également en solo cette fois, grâce au nouveau mode "Quêtes et entraide" introduit dans cet épisode. Une formule Mario Party parfaite qui vient terminer le cycle de vie de la Switch sur une excellente note, et on se demande déjà comment le géant japonais pourra faire mieux que cet épisode sur leur prochaine console durant les années à venir.

No se me ocurre mejor juego para disfrutar de las próximas navidades en compañía de amigos, familiares y los más pequeños de la casa. Super Mario Party Jamboree es gigantesco, variado y sobre todo, increíblemente divertido. En su vertiente más tradicional, el diseño de los tableros, la variedad de objetos disponibles, y la llegada de los Compas Jamboree contribuyen a que las partidas sean bastante dinámicas, favoreciendo esos piques sanos entre jugadores que son santo y seña de Mario Party. Pero luego tienes pruebas cooperativas, desafíos musicales y retos de habilidad que son igualmente divertidos. Ha llegado al final de la vida de Nintendo Switch, pero lo ha hecho convirtiéndose en uno de los mejores Mario Party de la historia.

Complessivamente, Super Mario Party Jamboree riesce nel suo intento principale: proporre tanti mini-giochi e modalità capaci di offrire ore di intrattenimento per tutta la famiglia. Inutile dire che, come sempre accaduto per la serie, il titolo dà il meglio di sé quanto sfruttato in multiplayer in locale. Il divertimento si riduce invece notevolmente quando a cimentarsi con le sfide Nintendo è un singolo giocatore. Le numerose opzioni di personalizzazione dell'esperienza consentono di modulare la rilevanza di caso e fortuna all'interno dei tabelloni, la cui struttura dinamica è comunque in grado di mutare costantemente lo svolgimento dei match. In arrivo in esclusiva su Nintendo Switch il 17 ottobre 2024, Super Mario Party Jamboree si candida insomma a diventare un ottimo alleato per le serate autunnali, sia per famiglie in cerca di un'attività da svolgere in compagnia sia per gruppi di amici pronti a organizzare feste e party a base di una divertente forma di competizione videoludica.

Dopo due capitoli per Switch uno potrebbe anche pensare di averne abbastanza di feste mariesche, almeno per questa generazione. Invece, niente niente Nintendo ha tirato fuori dal cilindro uno tra i migliori Mario Party di sempre grazie a una quantità di contenuti davvero generosissima, e a quel paio di trovate forse non imprescindibili o rivoluzionarie, eppure capaci di fare la felicità di chi, magari, ha voglia di pasticciare un po’ con i minigiochi senza per forza tirare in ballo una festa, garantendo anche un discreto senso di progressione. Gli unici limiti di Jamboree sono quelli intrinsechi al genere, e se non amate questo tipo di giochi difficilmente cambierete idea; per tutti gli altri, di contro, non vedo di meglio sul mercato.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a game with interesting ideas, looking to build on the success of the films, but falls flat with level design and certain mechanics breaking, rather than enhancing, immersion. With clear signs of what could have been really good, a few slips hold the game back.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead è una fedele trasposizione e al contempo un valido horror in prima persona, che trova nella sua onnipervadente componente stealth la sua ragion d'essere. Le poche variazioni sul tema lungo tutto l'arco dell'avventura costringono il giocatore a un ritmo estremamente compassato e a una dose di pazienza davvero elevata, pertanto sarebbe stato più utile all'opera riuscire ad avere al suo interno molti più escamotage di quanti se ne siano visti nei film, soprattutto per delle necessarie variazioni di ritmo che avrebbero ampliato a dismisura la platea dei giocatori interessati al titolo.

When the game makes you feel like you’re in the world of A Quiet Place being pursued by Death Angels, The Road Ahead is an immersive and tense time. It’s just a shame that the game’s mechanics and its 8–10-hour journey ultimately come at a cost to the tension and overall experience. As a result, fans of the franchise and the first-person horror genre will likely find more to like here than most, even with its budget price tag.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is an amazing followup to Mario Party Superstars and easily one of the best games in the series. Not only does it faithfully return to the classic formula established in the Nintendo 64 entries, it confidently improves upon it with a fantastic set of boards that introduce unique and memorable mechanics. It’s also the most flexible Mario Party has ever been, with tons of ways to customize your game, including its brilliant new optional Pro Rules that reduce luck-based elements to a minimum and crank up the strategy for those who want it. The wonderful maps are supported by a great lineup of new and returning minigames and character-specific challenges that steal the show, even if I wish there were just a few more minigames in the rotation. The side offerings may not have much staying power, but when partying with friends and family locally or online, Super Mario Party Jamboree boldly completes the series’ redemption arc as its newest superstar.

Super Mario Party Jamboree devrait s’imposer comme la nouvelle référence du party game sur Switch. Le titre reste fidèle à l’héritage de la franchise tout en apportant des nouveautés bienvenues. Nous sommes heureux de constater que Nintendo semble avoir pris en considération les critiques formulées à l’encontre de l’épisode précédent : sept plateaux au lieu de cinq précédemment, de nouveaux modes de jeu ont vu le jour, il y a davantage de personnages jouables… Que vous soyez un fan inconditionnel ou un joueur occasionnel, Super Mario Party Jamboree offre suffisamment de diversité et de fun pour vous garantir de passer de bons moments entre amis.
