As far as mini-games on Wii go, Family Party: 30 Great Games is an above average effort. That may not be saying much, but if you're looking for something to entertain your friends on occasion, you certainly could do a whole lot worse. The game retails for $20, and as long as you don't go in expecting anything revolutionary, you'll get your money's worth, but not much more than that.

If you've had any experience with mini-games on Wii, then you probably already know what to expect from Calvin Tucker's Redneck Jamboree. The unique theme is about the only thing that separates this from so many other games already on the system. But like so many other titles of its kind, it's really just a few simple mini-games thrown together in a lackluster package. You might get a few laughs out of the title at a party, but there are far better alternatives available.

My Fitness Coach is a more hardcore workout than Wii Fit. While that statement will surely spark some debate, it should be noted that Fitness Coach is also less of a game. Where Wii Fit is all about exercising in tandem with the Balance Board’s monitoring, Fitness Coach is like having an exercise DVD that adjusts itself to your progress and needs. Fitness Coach allows for long, continuous workouts that will really test your mettle and get results (if you stick with it.) In the end, it's a solid exercise game that does its job and makes you sweat… profusely.

And really, everyone should scoop this one up on a lark. I could sing its praises for ages, but there’s no better endorsement I could give the game than to proudly state that I’ll be dropping ten of my own greenbacks down on the game when I get home just so I can show it off to friends and roommates. It really is a fantastic puzzler, and something I think belongs on every PS3. Yep, every one.

If I were to evaluate Space Invaders Get Even solely as a game and not a consumer product that costs money, it may have scored in the 8s. But part of my job is to help gamers decide where to spend their cash, and the way this game has been chopped up into pieces and made more expensive than it should be really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's a great reimagining of the franchise and if money is no object to you you'll have a blast. But when most of us buy a game, even if it only costs $5, we expect more than a half hour of gameplay. The meager three levels you get for downloading Get Even is a joke. I give props to the developers for creating something unique and fun from a 30-year old game, but whoever made the decision to chop it up needs to be a little less stingy.

Ultimate Band isn't as good a game as Guitar Hero: On Tour, but it does offer more variety. Its biggest downfall is the minimal track list. The gameplay is solid, and the music studio is a great little tool that could be built upon to make something stellar. It's not going to meet the needs of the music game junkie, but it's a decent game for first time rock stars.

This is such a simple yet brilliant puzzle game that anyone can pick up and enjoy. Needless to say, it's a great game for kids as well as adults. Granted, it's not the most challenging puzzle game ever made, but there's a rare charm and a joy to it. You may think you're too old for crayons, but give this game a chance and within no time you'll be transported to your youth, grinning once more at the possibilities in front of you.

Interpol is good for a few short bursts of seek-and-find fun, but it’s just not a game that’s very well suited to the console. Add that to the poor image resolution, inconsistent puzzles and overall shaky production value, and you have a game that’s probably not worth the download.

The oddities of Gooey aside, though, Kirby's Dream Land 3 really is a quaint and capable little Kirby adventure that is pretty enjoyable to play -- and especially so if you're one of the great many players who missed out on it in 1997, because you were already too busy spending your gaming cash on titles that ended their names with "64." Give it a glance if you're a fan of Nintendo's short pink hero.

Saints Row 2 isn't a GTA killer, but it's a GTA alternative. It's tough not to hate on the slightly lacking production values, but when you see the rest of the game it actually makes a bit more sense. The technical shortcomings are the only truly bad part of Saints Row 2, and, sadly for PC gamers, it pretty much kills their experience unless they can play with the bulk of the visual settings turned down or off. Not doing so ruins your gameplay experience. There's enough crazy-insane tomfoolery to keep a machete in the hands of even the most straight-laced citizens, you'll just need a super-computer to even think about running it.

While SPRay is at best a mediocre action adventure, I'd say younger gamers will probably get some enjoyment out of it. The art style and story are definitely aimed at kids, and the little ones are less bothered by repetitive gameplay. A co-op mode where one player controls Ray and one controls the spray is the kind of gimmick only kids could get into. It's too bad that a game like this with an intriguing concept couldn't have been more engaging for all players, though. Like the puddles the game requires us to create, most people will want to step around SPRay.

When you stack up Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp to award-winning games, it doesn't do so well. This game, however, isn't aiming to revolutionize gaming. It simply tries to deliver an entertaining gameplay experience for little girls, and for the most part, it succeeds. While the game isn't fantastic, there are worse gifts to give your daughter. Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp teaches kids about the fundamentals of taking care of horses and even shares a few lessons about helping your fellow neighbor. At 39.99 bucks, the price is definitely steeper than it should be, but if your little girl loves videogames and horses, you can go ahead and let her saddle up.

In the end, Avatar: The Last Airbender - Into the Inferno is a game destined to be forgotten. The basic game mechanics are solid, and it has some good concepts, but they are overused to the point of becoming tedious and boring almost immediately. Young fans of the show would likely stay occupied for a level or two, but it's doubtful that even the most avid Avatar fan would enjoy the game all the way through to the end. It's a game that doesn't quite seem to know who it's aiming for. The series can sometimes fall awkwardly between age groups, and that's exactly what happened here.

Sure, I don't really know what the hell is going on storywise in this title because Into the Inferno doesn't explain anything, but a fan of the show won't need to see a well done cutscene to understand why Aang and Toph are attacking such and such place. In the end, this is a barebones game aimed at the youngest fans among us. It shouldn't cost $30.
