Rebel Raiders is just another quick port over to Wii, as XS games is out to make a few bucks on a title that, quite frankly, wasn't worth the cash on the systems it was ported over from. Controls are tacked on and anything but fluid, with even games like Heatseeker and Blazing Angels doing a better job in their own respective shovelware glory. This one simply isn't worth the cash though, and it's apparent that Wii owners will need to put their faith in Sky Crawlers if they want a solid flight game on their system as this is yet another effort that's far from worth your cash. Don't buy it, don't rent it, and don't think twice about it.

You don't want to mess with the Bomberman formula too much, and luckily Hudson hasn't here. This offering doesn't innovate but it's got that classic, addictive quality we've been enjoying since Super Bomberman on the SNES. Blast is, to surrender to an easy pun, a blast to play. With only a few interface hiccups, it's easy to get into online matches with everything running smoothly. The vast amount of game options should keep your bombing runs going all night. A good deal at ten bucks, this is a download Bomberman fans will want to make room for.

This would have been a perfectly respectable SimCity game if the controls had been given more attention. The deep gameplay options and cool disasters are all here, but the actual creating is a hassle because the remote both places objects and scrolls the map. Why couldn't the nunchuk have been used for the map? The developers missed a good opportunity here because the Wii should be a good system for PC-like sims where the remote replaces the mouse. I like the MySims character designs and I'm all for personality, but advisors should actually provide some advice. Following last year's disappointing SimCity DS, it looks like Electronic Arts might be losing its way with this franchise.

Rhapsody might be a good choice for the budding RPG player, but it's too easy and too old fashioned for most of us. Random battles are an archaic mechanic that should be abolished from games forever. Of course, this is a port of an older game so the random battles might be overlooked by fans of the original or old school RPG fans in general. It's a pretty DS game but the formula is stale. I think the developers missed a good opportunity by not injecting music into the gameplay. A boy-obsessed teenager singing cheesy love songs doesn't quite make for a Musical Adventure in my book. Still, Rhapsody's humor and personality do have their charms.

There's simply zero reason to even take a passing look at The Science of Evil. Every part of the game is at the very least lackluster and often ends up tumbling right down into the Abyss of Frustration. There's zero sense that you're playing as Hellboy, and considering his name is on the box, that's pretty much all that needs to be said.

Bratz Ponyz 2 isn't a sequel of significant departure -- it's firmly rooted in the design of the original game. But while it doesn't do anything drastically different or make any real leaps over and above the first Bratz Ponyz adventure, it does address many of the concerns expressed about the original and alleviates many of them. Getting from place to place is easier with the improved navigation icons. There are more mini-games to experience, extending the appeal of playing. And there is an all-new set of four fresh Ponyz characters for young girls to play as and dress up. While the overall adventure does still fall short of offering real depth -- it's still a rinse- and-repeat process of playing mini-games, getting items, then playing mini-games again -- Bratz Ponyz 2 has taken strides in the right direction.

If you think mech customization and boost-filled battles sound like your cup of tea, Armored Core does deliver on those parts. Being a lower profile franchise, Armored Core doesn't impress in terms of tech or revolutionary game design, but the gameplay From Software sets up is a lot of fun and will be a riot for hardcore mech fans. If you can overlook the technical problems, Answer is a solid purchase -- especially if you skipped Armored Core 4 last year.

Baja: Edge of Control certainly lives up to its subtitle. At times, it’s an edge-of your seat experience that gives you a sense of accomplishment for sliding across the finish line in one piece. Other times, it’s a confounding mix of erratic handling, insane difficulty and drab repetition. It’s at once laudably ambitious and frustratingly inaccessible. If you can get over the steep learning curve and venture deep into Baja, you’ll be rewarded for your efforts. Overall, only the hardest of the hardcore off-road racing sim crowd are likely to truly embrace Baja.

Disgaea might be the deepest experience available for your DS. If I were stranded on an island with my DS and just one game, this would be it. There are enough game mechanics and features here to make your head spin -- more than I could get into in this review. The bottom line is this is one of the greatest strategy games ever made. You can get lost in here. The story is overflowing with humor and personality, and the artwork is beautiful. Disgaea is a little too hardcore for some, but if you're a fan of the genre you should check it out. Even if you played the original game, you might find yourself falling in love all over again. It's not as pretty as Final Fantasy Tactics A2 -- A2 was made for the DS, and Disgaea is a PlayStation 2 port being forced into this dual-screen design. It's still a terrific game, but the two screens haven't been used to their best advantage. Now I really want to see NIS make an original Disgaea game for DS.

We're surprised to see that Rapala is again making strides in the right direction, but there's still a long way to go if the franchise is going to reach its former glory on previous consoles. As far as Wii fishing games go, Fishing Frenzy blends some fun motion-based casting and fish battles with a still-simplistic core, so while you'll have fun hooking and landing some lunkers this time around, it still isn't strong enough to warrant a purchase. There are still just a few dozen lures and fish, only seven locales, and only a short tournament and challenge mode to keep you busy. Visuals are still extremely bland and PS2-like, there are load times just to get to the title screen and then game interface after that, and the menus loaded aren't worth the time it took to get to them, with bland icons sitting on top of flat colors and bland white text for everything. If Activision is looking to make Fishing Frenzy a true kid's title, we're down for that , as it'd give it a unique style, but the company should focus less on useless controller shells and magazine giveaways, and focus more on making a coherent design for the title to follow. Right now it's a mix of assets and styles that - while fun at times - is in a serious identity crisis.

Buzz! Quiz TV is a great game. Sure, I would like voice chat patched in immediately, the ability to organize user-created quizzes in game, and there has to be a way to let me and an in-house friend play in the same online match, but that doesn't overshadow everything this game has done right. The wireless buzzers feel great and seem to have a good battery life, Trophies are always awesome, the game looks great, load times are minimal, the menus are a breeze to navigate, Sofa v. Sofa is a great idea, downloadable quiz packs being supported right out of the gate is sweet, and MyBuzz! literally offers you the avenue to find or create a quiz about anything you could imagine. If you're a trivia junkie like myself, it doesn't get any better -- no matter what videogame system we're talking about -- than Buzz! Quiz TV.

It's still a mystery why it's taken this long for Vectorman to finally arrive on the American Virtual Console, especially when you consider it's been available for download in both the Japan and European territories since early last year. It had been so long since we'd heard anything about the status of this title, too, that we were already scheduling it to take a spot in an upcoming "Most Wanted/Where Are These Games Already?" list of potential VC releases. But now that Vectorman's officially on sale in the American Wii Shop, we can call off the search and rescue team and simply leave you with a firm recommendation -- it's a classic action title that's well worth an investment of 800 Wii Points. Let's just hope it's not another year and a half before we get V ectorman 2.
