If you take nothing else from this review (we know you skip to the closing comments… sinners), hear this: Chicken Little: Ace in Action is an inspired, entertaining action game that remains worthy of your time and cash despite its shortcomings. The game has a few control issues that span each of the three game modes, and the Wii version supports only 4:3 and 480i like its PS2 partner, but it’s still a strong game at the core of its design and execution. The game’s Wii IR control is something we hope to see emulated by future third-person shooters, the gameplay is made friendly for youngins via intuitive auto-lock targeting, and for the most part the game’s control just feels right in the hands despite which version you’re playing. As for adding lasting appeal to the product, the team has included a ton of sub-objectives and upgradeable items throughout the game, as well as two-player support for the tank and hovership levels. If the basic gameplay hooks you, there’s enough here to take you well into the first quarter of 2007, which – let’s face it – is probably when the next Disney licensed game will be coming around. If your household is in need of a few kid-friendly titles this year, Chicken Little: Ace in Action is a solid addition to franchise titles like Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, as it helps break the monotony other children’s games seem to have no problem embracing year after year.

Sega Genesis Collection is easily the best assemblage of Sega games you can find. Though the presentation isn't quite as strong as I'd like, the sheer number of quality games makes any missteps forgivable. The graphics, while 16-bit, are as crisp and attractive as possible. If you are a fan of the Genesis, this is one collection that can't be missed. There's no doubt that at least 10 of the 32 games included will suck away a few dozen hours of your time. At $30, this is a bargain almost impossible to pass up.

Even if Suzuki Superbikes II was a quality racer, the intimidation system would cripple it. Consider that it's a mediocre racer on its own with a clumsy career mode and there's little to no point to picking this up. This is a bargain title for a reason and it should be left to be forgotten by the ages.

When it comes to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for Wii, the real question is exactly how does this game stand up to both current/next generation titles. While it’s definitely a step up from current generation, Ultimate Alliance doesn’t hold up against its next gen. counterparts, and that’s a bit disheartening. The big gamble lies in the controller, and in the end we’d honestly prefer a game like this using very minimal motion control in favor of more accuracy and dependability. The motions sit at around 85% for us, and while it can be rewarding to send a character into the air by physically lifting the controller it really doesn’t last, and we find ourselves wishing we could go back to the more tried and true battle system after only a few hours. On the graphical front, the Wii version is only a slight upgrade from current gen, and in a game like Marvel that lives and dies by its license we simply can’t recommend the Wii version if you have the option of playing it in HD. The most impressive part of the Marvel universe is its beautiful style and amazing art direction, and if you really want to enjoy the hybrid of living comics and action RPG gameplay, you have to play Ultimate Alliance on either 360 or PS3. As a mindless multiplayer adventure the Wii version does a fine job, but if you’re truly looking to find the superior next gen version of Ultimate Alliance, you’re going to have to go elsewhere.

It's a refugee from the past in more ways than one and it bears many of the typical budget gaming hallmarks—most damningly an extremely short lifespan—but Harley-Davidson: Race to the Rally delivers enough short-term thrills to temporarily appease true motorcycle maniacs.

Columns isn't quite as classic as Tetris, but it offers a unique take on the falling block puzzle style. SEGA supporters have had plenty of chances to experience this design over the years, and may not feel motivated to repurchase it again, but longtime Nintendo loyalists may have missed out. For them, it's a solid selection.

Hold off on spending your 800 points for just a minute, and go check out your library of last-generation titles. Ristar was included as an unlockable in 2002's Sonic Mega Collection for the GameCube, as well as 2004's Sonic Mega Collection Plus on the PS2 and Xbox. And just last month, it appeared again in the PS2's Sega Genesis Collection. No sense using your cash to buy a game you may already own.

Okay, so Lemmings isn't perfect and it doesn't redefine the way that PSP owners play puzzle games; and yes, longtime fans of the franchise will likely find the 120 rehashed levels a little too familiar. But even so, Team17's conversion of Lemmings is still good fun for the solo gamer and its map editor and visual improvements really help add some replay value to an old game. Having 30 new maps and a few gameplay refinements were nice touches too, and it's hard not to recognize how well Lemmings translates to handhelds. If you're into the genre, you should definitely check it out.

Gunstar Heroes has been re-released since its initial debut, first in a port to the portable Sega Game Gear system and then to the PS2 in a collection called Treasure Box – but that only came out in Japan. This Virtual Console release, then, is the first chance American gamers have had to grab the game since its original Genesis days. Action fans, especially those with a friend to play co-op with, shouldn't wait. Download now.

When your unlockable mini-games are more fun than your main adventure, you're in trouble. Tomb Raider: Legend has too many frustrations to forgive, taking what could have been a good Persia-style platformer clone and knocking it down to bland mediocrity. If you're a Lara fan, stick with the one of the console versions of this Legend – there's much more fun to be had there.

But with only forty different micro challenges and an underwhelming virtual pet experience, Arthur and the Invisibles isn't as satisfying a game as it could have been. The difficulty curve definitely rises at a decent rate to make sure you don't blow through the entire game in an hour...but you can definitely do it in two or three. It's, at the very least, an acceptable buy for a trip to grandma's at a budget price.

Lethal Alliance might have a cool concept to build off of, but it's hard to ignore that the design created for this engaging tale is poorly constructed. It's extremely rigid and straightforward, and the game does way too much hand-holding during the action. The only time players will find themselves stuck in a level will be due awful tutorials rather than challenging gameplay. Star Wars has had a rough journey on the Nintendo DS, and Lethal Alliance doesn't do anything to change that path.
