As it stands, I can’t in good faith recommend Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland. I do believe there is a good game hidden underneath the game’s incredibly rough exterior, but I believe most people are better off waiting until that good game is dug out via patches. The single player experience is admittedly better than co-op, but the plethora of bugs in the co-op mode is still unacceptable. Some people may luck out and make it through the game encountering minimal issues, but if anybody’s experience is similar to mine then they will instantly regret the money they spent purchasing this game.

Celebramos que Test Drive Unlimited esté de vuelta, pero en estos momentos lo que tenemos entre manos se siente más como un producto inacabado que como una nueva entrega de una saga de conducción veterana. Ojalá las actualizaciones consigan aupar la competición Solar Crown al podio que merece.

En le prenant pour ce qu'il est, à savoir un jeu tranquille, sans prétention ni prise de tête, dans un univers chatoyant, magique et savoureux, Magical Delicacy réussit son cahier des charges et peut être un jeu idéal à embarquer avec soi en vacances à la plage ou au bord de la piscine. Néanmoins, le jeu reste "juste" sympa, ne révolutionne pas grand-chose et ne tient pas non plus en haleine sur toute sa durée de vie (20 à 30 heures pour tout boucler dans les moindres recoins). À jeu honnête, note honnête donc.

Comme une madeleine de Proust, Age of Mythology: Retold fera remonter à la surface des souvenirs à celles et ceux qui ont connu le jeu de base il y a plus de vingt ans. Mais le jeu apparaît plus difficilement séduisant pour les autres générations, la faute à des graphismes qui, bien que modernisés, restent toutefois en retrait avec ce qui se fait de mieux en 2024. Il n’en demeure pas moins qu’il s’agit d’une aventure pas déplaisante du tout, en particulier si l’on apprécie la mythologie et ses grandes figures et ses monstres légendaires. Il y a un mode campagne sympathique à explorer et, pour les plus compétitifs, la possibilité de jouer en ligne contre d’autres internautes.

Castlevania: Dominus Collection dimostra una volta in più quanto la serie sia riuscita a lasciare il segno sui vari sistemi operativi in cui si è manifestata. Resta di certo l'amaro in bocca per la mancanza di un nuovo capitolo da ormai dieci anni, senza contare che non si ha ancora notizia di una riproposizione del memorabile Symphony of the Night al pubblico, ma i tre capitoli per Nintendo DS qui proposti sono ancora oggi favolosi da giocare. Che si voglia rivivere l'esperienza intransigente degli originali o che si preferisca utilizzare i miglioramenti di qualità della vita rappresentati dalla possibilità di riavvolgere il tempo e di salvare in ogni momento, in ogni caso Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin e Order of Ecclesia sono capaci di garantire decine di ore di intrattenimento di altissima qualità, permettendo anche a chi non li aveva giocati negli anni 2000 di scoprire tre videogiochi che rappresentano eccellenze assolute. Nintendo Switch è certamente la piattaforma migliore per farlo, grazie alla possibilità di utilizzare lo schermo touch per riprodurre il più fedelmente possibile le capacità dello stilo del Nintendo DS.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown doesn’t break the mold of any other generic racing simulator, which isn’t inherently a bad thing. It definitely scratches the itch of purchasing cool cars, racing them, upgrading them, and customizing them. The backdrop of Hong Kong Island is beautiful, but the overall visual fidelity here is lackluster and disappointing, especially in 2024. The progression wipe and constant server issues along with other technical bugs are unacceptable though, so I suggest waiting for a sale or more patches to polish out the experience.

Esto último puede no ser un problema para muchos, pero lo cierto es que incluso teniendo un buen nivel de inglés, se trata de un paso atrás en la época en la que nos encontramos. No teniendo la opción de jugar en nuestro idioma. El español es nada menos que el segundo idioma más hablado del mundo, y se queda totalmente fuera de esta experiencia, de nuevo incomprensiblemente, pues el juego de Nintendo DS sí estaba traducido. Fácilmente podría tener un 75 u 80 de nota media, ya que sigue siendo el mismo gran juego pero mejorado a nivel gráfico y con interesantes mecánicas que favorecen el juego. Pero una compañía como Capcom no se puede permitir un error tan grave como éste. Sobre todo al hablar de un juego tan narrativo, donde cada palabra o expresión es fundamental para resolver un caso.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 does its legendary setting justice, offering a high-quality cinematic campaign that is a wild ride to blast through, and it only gets better if you bring a few friends to watch your back. Add to that the clever Operation side stories, the competitive Eternal War multiplayer, and the promise of a dedicated (and free) Horde Mode on the horizon, and Space Marine 2 sets a benchmark for 40k games worthy of its own storied, illustrious lore.

Gundam Breaker 4 sembra il videogioco dei sogni di ogni appassionato di Gundam e Gunpla che si rispetti, anche se alcune imperfezioni nel sistema di controllo e nel comparto tecnico scarno, soprattutto nella resa delle arene da combattimento, lo trattengono da essere un gioco ottimo a tutto tondo: è invece una buona ripresa della serie, con delle promettenti migliorie sotto diversi aspetti. Serviva forse un'evoluzione più marcata rispetto a Gundam Breaker 3 ma è già tanto che sia uscito questo sequel: considerate l'acquisto solo se siete il pubblico di riferimento, altrimenti potreste restare delusi.

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is an absolutely phenomenal driving experience when it works. Each car is unique and you spend so much time with them that you form a real bond with your machines. Races are hard-fought and the neon streets of Hong Kong Island fun enough to explore in free roam. Unfortunately, a variety of technical issues hamper the experience, and the lifestyle elements and overall atmosphere of Hong Kong Island leave much to be desired. This is an ongoing, live service game with many seasons planned, so hopefully a lot of these issues can be ironed out. Until then, though, it’s still a pleasure to drive around in your favourite car, just soaking up the road.

Warhammer 40000: Space Marine II consigue recuperar la esencia del juego de 2011, añadiéndole aquello que no era factible conseguir en la época: una espectacularidad y una cantidad de enemigos que parece no tener fin. Saber ha conseguido rescatar ese espíritu de shooter clásico, reavivando una fórmula que es más única y menos heredera de juegos como Gears de lo que parece, salvo en su brutalidad, con una mezcla de combate a distancia y cuerpo a cuerpo muy táctica y bien planificada. Se disfruta perfectamente aunque no sepas nada del universo Warhammer ni tan siquiera hayas jugado al original, pero sabrás apreciar las conexiones si eres aficionado.

As the often overlooked and underappreciated cousin of the Ace Attorney series, Investigations holds a certain mystique that may have been missed by most casual fans. The change in formula and lack of a sequel translation meant that it was hard to invest in, and so it missed the opportunity to be praised alongside the more mainline entries. But this remaster has done all the right things to right such wrongs, easily communicating that Edgeworth is every bit as enjoyable as his spikier haired adversary – with a fun tale that steps comfortably out of the courtroom and onto the global stage.

A polished and well-engineered attempt at turning Quidditch into a real sport, which is only slightly marred by having to play as a less exciting seeker or keeper for portions of each round.
