Senua’s Saga Hellblade II delivers in being an intense cinematic experience that few other games can match. And it does so at the cost of being a video game that most people would play. Now not an indie darling anymore, it’s a shame this game isn’t as highly raved like the original, as Hellblade II definitely refined that experience evermoreso. The world has changed so much seven years later, and the appeal of another Hellblade has significantly diminished. For those that has an Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass subscription, it’s definitely worth checking out. It’s uniquely an experience that can thrive on Game Pass. If you’re looking for a different gaming experience, one that leans more on story and atmosphere with leaner and more focused gameplay, you might be surprised by Senua’s Saga Hellblade II. For those that have played Hellblade, this is more of that. For better or worse.

The best Monkey Ball game in over a decade is not much of a compliment, as while the adventure mode is almost up to par with the originals the multiplayer most certainly is not.

With its substantially enhanced graphics and more flexible twin-stick control setup, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is undoubtedly the definitive version of Luigi’s second apparition-filled adventure. If you’re a newcomer to the series – or perhaps you only came onboard with Luigi’s Mansion 3 and are working your way backwards – then there’s plenty of ghostbusting and puzzle-solving fun for you to find in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD’s five haunted houses. However, if you’re a fan of the original Nintendo 3DS version and you were hoping for more dramatic gameplay changes or additions, then you may well be a touch disappointed. What’s more, playing this remaster in the wake of the third game may put its limitations in an unfavourable light. All told, though, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is a great installment in Nintendo’s spectre-snaring series, even if it’s not the best one you can play on the Switch.

Le premier "nouveau" Monkey Ball depuis plus de dix ans fait le café, respecte ses aînés et injecte de nouvelles mécaniques cohérentes et sans fioritures. Les quelques à-côté apportent un bonus bienvenu, mais l'ensemble est descendu par un bilan technique qui se fait largement planter par la Gamecube. Dommage !

A mere remaster can’t hide all the foibles of a 20-year-old game, but this is a well-crafted tribute to a classic PlayStation 2 era game, that has long deserved a proper sequel.

Beyond Good & Evil is an absolute classic, and the 20th Anniversary Edition makes it easier than ever to appreciate why. The characters are endearing, the visuals are mostly amazing, the music is incredible, and the gameplay is a ton of fun on top of all that. If this is your first time stepping into Jade’s sneakers or your 20th, now has never been a better time to explore the beauty of Hillys.

GRAVEN GRAVEN, in definitiva, riesce a creare un mondo ricco ed immersivo che richiama un'epoca in cui le avventure dark fantasy in prima persona erano al loro massimo splendore. La combinazione di estetica retrò con un sistema di illuminazione ed effetti particellari moderni, combattimenti coinvolgenti (anche se leggermente ripetitivi nelle sessioni di gioco più lunghe), una buona varietà di nemici, enigmi ed esplorazioni ambientali, riescono ad offrire un'esperienza fresca ed immersiva quanto basta. Tuttavia, la narrazione di gioco, a tratti sconnessa, e alcuni enigmi un po' articolati oltre a piccoli problemi tecnici inficiano sull'esperienza complessiva. Killer Klowns from Outer Space The Game è un multiplayer asimmetrico online molto divertente, in cui tre clown assassini provenienti dallo spazio devono catturare sette ignari ragazzini. Il gameplay legato agli invasori spaziali è davvero soddisfacente, con una serie di gadget strampalati e letali; un po’ più sottotono, invece, appare quello degli umani. Se amate gli horror e i clown, questo potrebbe davvero essere il prodotto che attendevate da tutta la vita; noi, invece, attendiamo il pieno conseguimento del suo potenziale, il quale ad oggi necessita di qualche modalità di gioco in più, un numero leggermente più elevato di mappe e maggiore varietà nell’utilizzo degli umani. Illfonic, ti aspettiamo: perché Killer Klowns from Outer Space The Game ha davvero tanto potenziale.

If all you're looking for in a new Super Monkey Ball game is a selection of new single-player levels to tackle, then you're in luck, because Banana Rumble boasts some of the best stages we've seen in recent memory. The additional 'Spin Dash' ability makes traversal a lot more fun, and the physics feel as close to 'classic' Monkey Ball as the franchise has got in quite some time. Unfortunately, if you're looking forward to the multiplayer modes, then temper your expectations. They're simply not very good for the most part and are significantly hampered by the drop in frame rate. We almost scored this a point lower, but the quality of the single-player just about pulls it up. As it stands, Banana Rumble is a mixed bag, but one worth delving into if you're itching for more single-player shenanigans.
