I’m a bit confounded after my time with Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. I’ve definitely been enjoying the daily grind of hunting down Foundables, and the many goals, pools of experience points, and options add variety to an experience that has grown quite stale to me in other games. And yet, it does such a poor job of initially introducing you to all these aspects, or giving you a sense of how to prioritize them, that it often left me uncertain if I was doing it wrong. Adding onto that the quick collectible ceiling I ran into, the lack of meaningful customization, and a lack of meaningful ways to interact with other players who aren’t physically there at the moment, and I’m worried about the longevity of this walking RPG. Wizards Unite has been a fun, small dose of magic in my daily life for a week, and I plan to continue dipping into the wizarding world each day for the foreseeable future, but other than throwing a bubble around a troll, I’m not sure how engaging all of these mechanics will remain in the long run.

Jusqu’à présent, mon expérience sur Harry Potter : Wizards Unite s’est révélée assez déconcertante. J’ai apprécié le fait d’amasser quotidiennement des Retrouvables, et les nombreux objectifs, points d’expérience et possibilités qu’il propose permettent de renouveler une expérience de jeu ayant tendance à rapidement s’essouffler dans d’autres titres du genre. Malheureusement, celui-ci se révèle si obscur lorsqu’il s’agit d’introduire ses différents aspects ou de vous donner une idée claire de la façon de les hiérarchiser, que je me demandais régulièrement si je faisais les choses correctement. Tandis que le nombre assez restreint d’objets différents à collectionner, le manque de personnalisation et l’absence de moyens efficaces pour interagir avec d’autres joueurs ne se trouvant physiquement proches de vous, pourraient impacter la longévité de ce RPG tirant profit de la géolocalisation. Wizards Unite a apporté une petite dose de magie dans ma vie quotidienne durant une semaine, et j’ai bien l’intention de me replonger régulièrement dans le monde des sorciers au cours des prochaines semaines. Mais exception faite de la possibilité d’emprisonner un troll dans un bulle, je ne suis pas certains que ses différentes mécaniques restent engageantes sur le long terme.

198X does a fantastic job of breathing some life into genres of old, paying homage in a respectable, loving way while achieving an identity all of its own. For me there was no weak link in the gameplay and the storytelling moments kept me engaged and looking forward to the next bit of exposition. Hi-Bit Studios’ 198X is a short experience but one I’m glad I’ve had. Here’s hoping for future instalments to build upon this solid foundation.

Sembra quasi un affronto al "nostro" Kazuma Kiryu affermarlo, eppure Judgment rappresenta il miglior prodotto del Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio da diversi anni a questa parte, per ritmo, scrittura e diversificazione delle meccaniche di gioco. Il cambio di prospettiva, da uno yakuza dal cuore tenero ad un avvocato in disgrazia, ha giovato alla narrativa, concedendo maggiori libertà creative al team di sviluppo, che si sono riflesse in personaggi secondari molto ben caratterizzati e in nuove dinamiche di gioco perlopiù riuscite, ad eccezione dei pedinamenti. Se a questo si aggiungono la consueta, impressionante mole di minigiochi ed attività secondarie disponibili, l'aggiunta del doppiaggio inglese e della sottotitolazione italiana (seppur migliorabile) e l'ennesima ottima performance del Dragon Engine, ecco che ci troviamo tra le mani un titolo imperdibile, consigliato non solo ai fan della saga principale ma a tutti gli amanti dei thriller investigativi e della cultura giapponese in senso più ampio.

Non tutti riusciranno a guardare oltre la presentazione non proprio eccelsa di Dragon Star Varnir e al cast di streghe scollacciate ma, casomai ci riusciste, verrete catturati da un JRPG tradizionale con alcune caratteristiche davvero degne di nota, su tutte un battle system concretamente originale che vivacizza il genere con le sue trovate. Non è un titolo eccelso, e mostra tutte le limitazioni derivanti dal budget ridotto, ma riesce a imporre le sue idee con la giusta determinazione e getta ottime basi per tutte le produzioni firmate Compile Heart che non ricadano nei loro filoni di maggior successo.

While a few finicky mechanics and a lack of content outside the campaign keep this from getting a universal recommendation, $20 still gets you a memorable experience and offers a deliciously fun twist on the sidescrolling shooter formula.

Hyper réaliste et très complet, il est certain que DayZ ravira les joueurs amateurs de jeux de survie, typés simulation, sévissant sur PlayStation 4, tant les possibilités in-game sont vastes et les mécanismes très poussés. Si le portage parvient à convaincre sur son aspect visuel ainsi que sonore, certains détails, comme la gestion de l’inventaire et la stabilité des serveurs, auraient mérité un approfondissement de la part des développeurs, attendus au tournant depuis de nombreuses années suite aux problèmes rencontrés sur le jeu dans sa version PC. On aurait également aimé avoir l’opportunité de jouer vraiment en équipe, avec un ami en ligne, sans passer par des heures à se chercher… mais que voulez-vous ? La survie, avant tout !

Senza alcun dubbio, MotoGP 19 è il miglior capitolo della serie dedicata al campionato motociclistico. Il ritorno delle sfide storiche, una modalità carriera per i giocatori hardcore ed una cura maggiore ai dettagli, rendono MotoGP 19 un must have per tutti gli appassionati del genere. Inoltre, l'introduzione di A.N.N.A riesce sempre a regalare sfide nuove, oltre che ad un senso di sfida maggiore. Per concludere, consigliamo MotoGP 19 a tutti coloro che amano il campionato su due ruote, ma anche a chi cerca un buon racing game per ingannare il tempo.

Alla fine dei conti, Unruly Heroes è un platform colorato, irriverente, artisticamente valido e con tante situazioni differenti, capaci di combinare con estremo dinamismo e coerenza azione e puzzle. Un prodotto non esente da difetti, certo, ma capace di offrire qualche ora di sano divertimento, anche in compagnia di altri giocatori.
