Auch wenn viele Entscheidungen im Endeffekt vorgegeben sind, nimmt es der Geschichte von 11-11: Memories Retold nichts von der Intensität. Ich hatte trotzdem das Gefühl, die Schicksale von Kurt und Harry in der Hand zu haben. Memories Retold erzählt auf spannende Art und Weise, dass im Ersten Weltkrieg Marionetten an der Front aufeinandergeprallt sind, sondern Menschen. Während der "Tommy" für den Deutschen vielleicht ein emotionsloses Monster ist, ist er für jemand Anderes ein Sohn oder ein Vater. Mit der Aquarell-Grafik hebt sich Memories Retold von anderen Spielen ab, allerdings wäre es in manchen Situationen zuträglich gewesen, wenn die Entwickler die Gesichter der Charaktere deutlicher herausgearbeitet hätten. Manchmal geht dadurch die Intensität einer Szene verloren, auch wenn die Synchronsprecher sehr gute Arbeit leisten. 11-11: Memories Retold wirft einen intensiven und kritischen Blick auf den Krieg, konzentriert sich dabei aber auf persönliche Schicksale und nicht das einer ganzen Nation.

Hitman 2 doesn’t add much of note to the structure of its predecessor and thus feels more like Hitman 1.5 than a full-blown sequel. But that’s not a bad thing. By offering more of the deepest, fullest stealth sandboxes in gaming in one single package rather than six episodic ones, it earns its keep. The inclusion of Hitman (2016) is a bonus for those that didn’t catch the reboot initially. Here’s hoping they put more effort into the plot next time.

Alla fine della nostra recensione, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! & Eevee! appaiono per certi versi sperimentali e tutt'altro che perfetti, ma mostrano le tante potenzialità che la serie potrà sfruttare su Nintendo Switch. Al netto di un titolo orfano del comparto competitivo, siamo quindi di fronte a una vera coppia di giochi Pokémon, piena di citazioni e capace di introdurre novità che vorremmo vedere entrare in pianta stabile nei prossimi capitoli. È vero, alcuni elementi sembrano essere realizzati con una certa pigrizia, ma si tratta di titoli ideali sia per avvicinarsi a qualcosa di più complesso di Pokémon GO, sia per tenersi occupati in vista dell'arrivo della portata principale nel 2019. E lì Game Freak non potrà davvero permettersi di sbagliare.

L'Agent 47 nous revient plus fringuant et meurtrier que jamais. IO Interactive ne prend que très peu de risques c'est un fait, mais peaufine la formule du parfait jeu d'assassinat en transformant le monde qui nous entoure en arme. Hitman 2 conserve toute l'efficacité d'un concept qui a fait ses preuves, gomme plusieurs défauts de l'épisode précédent et fourmille de contenus en intégrant un mode multijoueur ainsi qu'un éditeur de mission. Le manque de nervosité des combats, les failles de l'I.A et le scénario prétexte nous paraissent anecdotiques face à la générosité et la précision de cette simulation de tueur à gages.

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! y Let's Go, Eevee! son un claro ejemplo de que es posible reinventarse. No solo modifican la fórmula de la franquicia con novedades como la captura directa de Pokémon salvajes, sino que la mejoran, ofreciendo una experiencia de juego mucho más accesible y capaz de satisfacer tanto a nuevos jugadores como veteranos.

Altra collezione nostalgica, altro centro per Activision, stavolta coadiuvato da Toys for Bob: la Spyro: Reignited Trilogy è un gioiello, una fedele ricostruzione, in certi frangenti una vera e propria reimmaginazione, degli i primi tre splendidi capitoli della saga con protagonista il draghetto viola, raccolti in un unico, scintillante pacchetto per PS4 e Xbox One. Non è un prodotto perfetto sotto ogni aspetto (caricamenti non proprio scattanti, frame-rate non sempre stabile, e qualche dettaglio grafico non del tutto entusiasmante), ma la sola idea di poter rivivere quelle splendide avventure vale ampiamente il prezzo del biglietto, sia che abbiate divorato queste perle all’epoca della loro uscita, sia che vogliate recuperare dei pezzi fondamentali del genere platform 3D.

Remakes so good they flatter the original games, but whether or not they deserve this level of star treatment the end result is three enjoyable and accessible 3D platformers for all ages.
