Fabuleux générateur de moment de folie, Lethal League Blaze est tout simplement l’un des meilleurs jeux multijoueur-canapé du marché. Ses redoutables mécaniques de jeu en font un titre aussi accessible qu’exigeant et permettent à tout le monde de s’amuser entre amis. Il surclasse sur tous les aspects son prédécesseur avec des graphismes nouveaux tout beaux, une bande-son dingue et un contenu bien plus riche. Toujours un peu perfectible en online, on reste à des années-lumière de la catastrophe du premier jeu à ce niveau. Tout simplement un incontournable.

Reigns GoT est surement l’épisode le plus abouti de la série. D’abord parce qu’il joue parfaitement avec ses propres codes et pousse ses idées encore plus loin. Ensuite grâce à sa parfaite appropriation de l’oeuvre qu’il adapte. Son bel habillage, mais surtout dans son écriture prouve qu’il sait exactement de quoi il parle. Toujours aussi drôle et imparable dans ses mécaniques, . Du tout bon, mais pour les fans de Game of Thrones uniquement. Les autres ont tout intérêt à foncer vers Reigns classique.

Angry Birds Dream Blast è un puzzle game semplice e immediato, non particolarmente sofisticato nelle sue meccaniche ma senz'altro in grado di garantire un intrattenimento spensierato nel momento in cui volete tirare fuori lo smartphone per fare una partita. Complice la grafica coloratissima e una colonna sonora divertente, il titolo Rovio cattura subito l'attenzione e ci accompagna molto gradualmente in una campagna parecchio lunga, composta da centinaia di stage che vengono costantemente aggiornati, e con cui ci si può cimentare gratuitamente senza particolari problemi. Un simpatico passatempo in attesa del prossimo episodio di Angry Birds, insomma.

With three titles of great quality being redesigned to be beautiful even by today’s standards, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy burns bright. Little touches such as a unique design for every Elder Dragon, an attention to detail in the aesthetics of the levels, and a dynamic music system breathe life into what was already a lively collection. Spyro is back, and his games are exactly as good as you remember.

Toys for Bob has done a great job of filling Spyro’s first three adventures with such reinvigorated life. Worlds are packed to the brim with more detail, animations are consistently endearing, and the quality of life improvements make revisiting these once analog stick-less platformers a joy to play. They’re definitely easier thanks to some of those changes, but no less charming to play. It’s great to see Spyro’s return treated with such love and care, and I hope renewed interest in his past can light the way for his future.

Returning to Kanto in Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Eevee! is almost as much fun and as heartwarming as I’d hoped it would be with its fresh, colorful design and new mechanics. Pikachu and Eevee are adorable, overpowered leads with the capability to learn some incredible moves, and they feel special both in and out of battle. The Pokemon Go catching system is a more relaxing way to fill out the Pokedex and grind for experience, and I never felt like I was missing out on battles because of it. Kanto is littered with charismatic trainers ready to fight. Some irritating UI design and issues with its motion controls add up to be a minor annoyance, but the addicting capture cycle and great challenges in the post-game keep me coming back to play.

Dopo due anni Battlefield è tornato, e possiamo affermare che questa è sicuramente una delle sue migliori incarnazioni. Il secondo conflitto mondiale è uno dei setting più amati del genere FPS, ma allo stesso tempo è uno dei più abusati, perciò era facile aspettarsi un episodio sottotono o comunque poco innovativo; invece DICE dimostra di non volersi accontentare e così riesce a confezionare un prodotto visivamente ricercato (soprattutto per quanto riguarda la scelta delle ambientazioni), ma anche ludicamente completo raffinato. Il valore produttivo è altissimo, la grafica e il comparto sonoro sono allo stato dell'arte, ma nonostante l'eccellenza estetica a fare la differenza sono i numerosi interventi di reworking che interessano le meccaniche tradizionali del titolo. Le modifiche fatte al sistema delle squadre, ad esempio, riescono a portare un miglioramento tangibile sul campo di battaglia, ma anche le piccole dinamiche legate alla gestione delle risorse, le nuove modalità e il sistema di personalizzazione della compagnia hanno un loro peso, e contribuiscono ad arricchire e ad evolvere l'eredità del già notevole Battlefield 1. Peccato soltanto che i protagonisti delle War Stories (ovvero la campagna principale), non riescano a bucare lo schermo come invece dovrebbero, vittime di una scrittura poco incisiva e di una regia poco avvincente, e così in parte sfuma la possibilità di raggiungere vette superiori. Un peccato, certo, che per fortuna non intacca il cuore dell'opera, ovvero il multiplayer online, che continua ad essere un punto di rifermento per il genere, e chi conosce il ritmo di Battlefield non può assolutamente lasciarsi sfuggire. Inoltre, a onor del giusto va detto che stavolta non ci sono macchie sul dossier per quanto riguarda la politica di distribuzione DLC: Tides Of War, il programma di contenuti aggiuntivi che comincerà ad arrivare già dal prossimo 6 dicembre, sarà completamente gratuito per tutti i possessori del gioco, e ciò significa che la community non verrà più divisa come accaduto in passato: Churchill approverebbe...

Toys for Bob has hit a home run with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Not only does it recreate the original gameplay experience in every way that’s important, but it also adds subtle improvements that make it feel just that much better. The new art direction works wonderfully for these games, and all the extra fine details put into character designs, interactions, and behavior really make everything come alive in a wonderful way. New players might not get as much out of it as fans of the originals, and they’ll be very disappointed if they go into it expecting a modern gameplay experience with all the trimmings. For old fans and those who’d like a glimpse at what the height of triple-A quality was like twenty years ago though, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will deliver in spades!

Alla fine della nostra recensione Battlefield 5 schiva la polemiche pre-lancio e se la cava alla grande, prendendo quanto di buono fatto con Battlefield 1 per migliorarlo ulteriormente con meccaniche orientate al gioco di squadra e mappe strutturate con intelligenza che aumentano la sensazione di essere nel mezzo di un vero campo di battaglia, con un fronte fluido che si sposta in continuazione, scontri su vasta scala e soldati che si paracadutano in ogni dove. Il tutto esaltato da un comparto tecnico che non ha rivali e che ci regala una campagna a episodi di ottimo livello, anche se davvero troppo breve. E ci saremmo aspettati qualcosa di più anche dal multigiocatore, viste le promesse di un gioco che si trova ad affrontare una concorrenza a dir poco agguerrita. Per questo il voto resta identico a quello del predecessore anche se è bene ribadire che i contenuti in arrivo, gratuiti e sostenuti da un'infrastruttura fatta di eventi speciali e nuovi sistemi di progressione, promettono di restituirci uno dei Battlefield più ricchi e riusciti di sempre.
