World of Warriors is cute and fun at times, but overall it’s a bit pedestrian and forgettable. It’s abundantly clear that this is a port of a game designed for mobile devices, but it’s done so in a way that actually works surprisingly well, like the updated visuals and omission of microtransactions. The relics of the previous format persist however and the game is only enjoyable in short bursts, which means it can be hard to justify the price tag. If you have a younger person in your life that is learning about history, this could be a great time waster to enjoy with them, but otherwise you’ll likely struggle to stay interested.

World of Warriors è un titolo caratterizzato da meccaniche semplici ed immediate, cuore di un titolo senza grandi ambizioni o meriti. Sebbene il gameplay offra alcune variabili interessanti sul fronte ludico, l’opera di Mind Candy cede fin troppo presto alla monotonia e al grinding spinto, che provocano il rapido indebolimento della presa del titolo sul giocatore. Pur riuscendo a svincolarsi efficacemente dal proprio passato mobile, il gioco non offre reali guizzi d’unicità, e va quindi a perdersi nella folta schiera di quelle produzioni “passatempo” che, pad alla mano, risultano sostanzialmente intercambiabili tra loro. Va inoltre detto che la versione PS4 offre una quota ridotta degli eroi disponibili su mobile, una scelta che rende ancor più difficile consigliare l’acquisto del prodotto, specialmente considerando il disequilibrio tra il suo prezzo (29,99 euro) e l’effettiva qualità dell’offerta.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm isn’t without its faults. As I explain in my individual episode reviews, the lack of choice can sometimes be frustrating and occasionally the dialogue comes off as contrived. You might have to surrender to the game’s set narrative more than you’d like and you might have to play the first game to fully appreciate this one. But if you can get past some of this, you might find that what Before the Storm offers the Life is Strange series is pretty great. The exploration into Chloe’s character is excellent and even if you can’t relate to her or find her behavior annoying, she proves to be very interesting and Deck Nine does a great job bringing this character into the spotlight. The bonus episode neatly wraps up the Max and Chloe saga of Life is Strange while providing even more insight into both characters. Is this game as good as the original Life is Strange? Personally, I don’t think so. But it’s still great nonetheless and definitely shouldn’t be missed by fans of the first game.

World of Warriors s’adresse à un public jeune sans pour autant délivrer une expérience simpliste. Les bases correctes du gameplay laissent émerger des combats qui demandent de maîtriser les esquives, les attaques et les particularités des arènes afin de gagner. Ses graphismes colorés peinent cependant à cacher les origines iOS et Android du projet dans sa conception. Malgré de nombreuses ressemblances, il est inutile de chercher ici l’excitation des parties de Power Stone, même si le titre de Saber Interactive se révèle évidemment plus amusant (et simple) en multi qu’en solo. Dommage, avec plus d’imagination dans la conception des arènes et un soupçon de vélocité supplémentaire, nous aurions pu nous trouver face à un jeu d’action orienté party-game parfaitement calibré pour réunir les petits et les plus grands.

Divertido, aunque algo "soso" pese a que se intenta plantear como una experiencia narrativa intensa. Sirve tanto para los fans de los relatos como para los jugadores activos del rol táctico. Buen sistema de combate, aunque algo difícil en los primeros pasos. Muchos diálogos, mucha historia, buenas escenas de vídeo y todo en inglés. Un parecido con The Banner Saga que quita la cabeza pero a la vez con un auténtico alarde de buen gusto. Estamos ante un producto proyectado para un público concreto. Si os gusta el género, tenéis una cita con él.

Se il primo Evoland si era fatto riconoscere soprattutto per la peculiarità del suo stile grafico, questo secondo capitolo risulta più coerente, ambizioso e divertente. Andare dal passato in 8 bit al futuro in tre dimensioni e alta definizione è un piacevole passatempo, sopratutto se siete cresciuti insieme a questo genere di giochi. Evoland 2 rinuncia a parte della sua ambizione e indipendenza per rendere un calorosissimo tributo a tutto il mondo dei videogiochi, diventando un meta-gioco che è una piccola miniera di citazioni e rimandi. Inevitabilmente questo tende a limitarne le prospettive, ma ciò non di meno l'esperienza risulta sempre piacevole e gratificante.

Burnout Paradise Remastered isn't a perfect reworking, but it does a good job of bringing this crash filled, interactive opus onto modern hardware. The core gameplay remains fun, too, despite showing some age and dealing with repetition.

Peach Beach Splash è un gioco fresco, a tratti divertente, ma appesantito da un grinding massiccio e da un'eccessiva ripetitività di fondo. Tecnicamente parlando il salto rispetto alla versione PS4 non è così marcato e a diversi giorni dall'uscita i problemi che affliggono l'online non sono ancora stati risolti. Trattandosi del primo tps della serie, la speranza è che gli sviluppatori imparino dagli errori commessi, per migliorare in un eventuale seguito.
