As the successor to the PSP hits, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT does a lot of things right but gets a lot wrong. The Bravery Combat system remains a unique and exciting way to experience a fighting game. While not everyone will be particularly happy with the 3v3 setup, NT manages to make it work in a way that keeps matches exciting. There’s a lot of depth to the combat and those that stick it out will find an enjoyably unique fighting game. As a love letter to Final Fantasy players, the presentation is on point, allowing fans to re-imagine characters and locations rendered with today’s technology. Unfortunately, the game comes up short in a few areas. The story is terrible and the way it forces players to unlock it through Memoria feels more to do with padding than anything else. NT doesn’t provide enough content to support the robust gameplay on offer and much of it is recycled from the more feature-rich PSP games. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a well-presented package with excellent gameplay, but doesn’t pack enough new in to support it.

Vesta tends to remain enjoyable throughout the entirety of play, offering up some colorful visuals and decent puzzle design. However, this is hardly a groundbreaking experience, seeing as many aspects of play have already been better achieved elsewhere, time and time again.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is an excellent representation of the source material it is based on, with solid mechanics and plenty of variety, and offers just the sort of over-the-top mayhem that fans of the franchise should thoroughly enjoy.

What I did wish was for the option to have an English dub, as reading so much got tiresome after long periods of time. Though as someone who genuinely wants to learn Japanese, this was a blessing in disguise and eventually I got used to all the reading and the story stayed captivating enough for me keep going. If you like a nice cross between Pokémon and Persona 5, this game gives it to you quite well. With battle mechanics that gamers already know, the familiarity of a series most have grown up with, and a compelling roster of characters and situations, this game can easily become addictive in the quest to retain your identity and have a blast along the way. If only the graphics and the camera issues were addressed a bit more, this truly could’ve been a much stronger game.

Los amantes de los juegos de lucha pueden disfrutar de un título que se desmarca de la inmensa mayoría de producciones del mismo género. UFC 3 es un simulador que lo da todo en favor del realismo y del impacto visual, siendo un título muy técnico que cuesta un poco dominar pero que nos ofrece unos enfrentamientos vibrantes. No es precisamente el título más original y, de hecho, apenas introduce novedades de peso en relación a lo establecido en la pasada entrega, pero sigue siendo un juego muy notable, salvaje y lleno de posibilidades.
