Cronos: The New Dawn presents an intriguing mystery to unravel and a creepy sci-fi hellscape to explore, but its run-of-the-mill combat system prevents it from stepping out of the shadows cast by survival-horror heavyweights like Dead Space and Resident Evil 4. Its oppressively bleak environments are rich with interesting details to pore over, and a handful of its boss fights provoke a level of desperation that make them genuinely thrilling to survive, but elsewhere there’s clear padding that trips up the story’s momentum for considerable stretches at a time, and its predictable shock tactics are a step down from Silent Hill 2’s genuine scares. Like a Traveler’s corpse that’s trapped inside a temporal apocalypse, Cronos: The New Dawn contains the essence of survival horror, but there’s not quite enough spark in it to really bring it to life.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is a decent mech game with plenty of depth in its weapons setups and lots of cool loot to discover in its large open-world maps. The combat is flexible, it's fast, and it's very often plenty of fun.

When the central gameplay loop of Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion starts to click, this is an action RPG with serious potential. But all too often, the joys of customising your mech and the thrills of hectic battles are held back by tedious design.

NHL 26 non è un capitolo perfetto, sia chiaro, ma è un vero punto di partenza per rilanciare il brand verso nuovi standard qualitativi. Si registrano discreti passi in avanti per tutte le principali modalità, mentre il gameplay, al netto di alcune sfumature, cerca il realismo a tutti i costi e conferisce all'esperienza generale un senso di coinvolgimento estremamente genuino.

NBA 2K26 ofrece interesantes añadidos en materia jugable, mientras pule un poco más su apartado audiovisual. No obstante, en materia de modos no se ofrece gran cosa y continúa lastrado por los problemas habituales. Si evitas caer en sus tediosos sistemas y microtransacciones, te encontrarás con un buen juego de baloncesto.

Although Cronos: The New Dawn doesn't quite reach the heights of Bloober Team's excellent Silent Hill 2 remake, it's nevertheless the result of a studio that has levelled up significantly from the days of Layers of Fear and Blair Witch. It's a celebration of survival horror, paying homage to all the genre greats effectively, although failing to do anything truly original.

Encore cette année, NBA 2K26 est un régal d'immersion pour tout fan de la ligue nord-américaine. Ultra-complet avec les ambiances et visuels de joueurs/gestuelles parfaitement retranscrits, les amateurs de gestion et de sensations manette en main se regaleront sur les modes hors-ligne comme Ma NBA, mon GM ou Mon Equipe. Ce dernier mode mélange les joueurs NBA et les joueuses de WNBA pour encore plus de possibilités d'équipes légendaires et de variété dans le titre. En revanche, le mode en ligne Ma Carrière divisera avec son gameplay pour la saison 1, réservé aux joueurs offensifs hardcore connaissant leur jauge de tir et de dunk par coeur, au détriment des défenseurs irréguliers au tir. Visual Concepts a réussi a être encore plus efficace cette année en laissant de côté les quêtes secondaires pour aller à l'essentiel et donner plus d'outils pour que les fans de création de joueurs et d'équipe s'amusen. Il ne manquera plus qu'un jeu moins quémandeur de monnaie virtuelle, 2K26 étant toujours diaboliquement pay-to-fast, pour s'approcher de la perfection dans le genre simulation de sport.
