L’ultimo capitolo dell’epopea venatoria di Capcom torna sul mercato con un nuovo port che ribadisce i meriti di una ricetta ludica ricca e appagante, al centro di un’edizione confezionata con perizia per assecondare le esigenze dell’utenza PS5. Ad una anno dall’approdo dell’opera su PC, il team propone una conversione che conserva buona parte delle opzioni grafiche presenti nella versione da scrivania, per offrire alla platea un’esperienza da personalizzare in base alle proprie preferenze, muovendosi con una certa libertà tra gli estremi definiti dai classici preset. Una rotta produttiva che conferma le qualità dell’ottimo RE Engine, alla base di una proposta che anche sull’ammiraglia di Sony non manca di offrire grandi soddisfazioni, malgrado i limiti fisiologici di questo tipo di produzioni. It’s no small feat that Fire Emblem Engage is able to tell a simple-but-fun story that celebrates the vast history of its series in a way that doesn’t rely on prior knowledge of that legacy. Building the perfect team of diverse characters and pairing them with the Emblem Rings of past heroes allows for tons of customization and strategy, and blasting through the enemy ranks with their special powers is always immensely satisfying. Both its main and side missions provide a good deal of challenge, and clever twists and obstacles offset a reliance on overly familiar mission objectives. Couple all that with a suite of quality-of-life improvements that immediately feel vital and Fire Emblem Engage proves itself worthy enough to be counted alongside the legacy it honors so well.

Tras una entrega rupturista, vuelven al enfoque clásico sin dejar de presentar novedades que aderezan y hacen, si cabe, aún más interesante su gran sistema de combate. Un parada obligada para los amantes del género.

La premessa folle di un gioco basato su solitario e corse ippiche non può passare inosservata, ma la cosa più incredibile è che questo strano misto funziona benissimo. La meccanica delle carte ha ovviamente un valore a sé stante e non si presenta particolarmente originale, ma inserita in questo contesto assume un altro significato e comunque rappresenta solo una parte della complessa struttura strategica che sottende all'andamento della gara. Ad arricchire il tutto c'è una caratterizzazione stilizzata e umoristica in grado di stimolare facilmente il buon umore. Il rischio è che il tutto diventi un po' monotono a lungo andare, ma Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! è davvero un'aggiunta geniale, oculata anche e alquanto insperata all'interno del catalogo di Apple Arcade, per cui il download è caldamente consigliato a tutti gli abbonati.
