I could go on and on as to why Toukiden 2 should be your go to monster slaying game. But doing so would take away from the experience. I will say this, though. Monster hunting games hinge on the amount of content they offer, and this title has tons. You’ll have fun for hours — unless using giant swords and a cool ghost hand isn’t your idea of a good time. All in all, Toukiden 2 offers a fresh monster hunting story that’s surprisingly rich in its narrative and stylistically consistent across the board. If it sounds like something you want to check you, the game is available now for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Now if you’ll excuse me. I have some very mean monsters to fight.

The negativity around the game baffles me, because I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with it. I guess that’s why they’re called opinions. If you are a fan of Mass Effect, RPGs, or open-world games, this is one to pick up.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk doesn't do much special compared to other Warriors games, but it's a fun romp for fans of the series or Koei Tecmo's Warriors titles.

Overall, I do enjoy Digimon World: Next Order. It is something different and I genuinely want to progress in the story and see my Digimon get stronger. For people that don’t have a lot of time to slowly progress, this is not the game for you. If you don’t mind taking your time to go through the game and constantly rebirth your Digimon to get stronger, this is an amazing game. Regardless, it is well worth a try and could end up being your favorite RPG.

Half-Genie Hero is a prime example of a Kickstarter-funded game that actually lived up to the excitement it generated, rather than disappointing fans and the general public with an unimpressive product that we could have simply gone on living without. It’s a game that’s clearly a labor of love, as evidence has shown each Shantae game has been, and WayForward’s passion for their work is something they wear on their sleeves. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is a splendid 2D Platformer packed with enough charm and new ideas to make the 6-7 hours it will take to beat it worth every second of gameplay and every dollar spent. Judging it solely on what content is present at the moment, and ignoring, for now, the promises of what’s to come, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is worth your time and money if you’re looking for a great 2D platformer — or just a fun game in general.
