Overall, Broforce’s 90’s iconic action movie feel presents a very fun and fair platformer that challenges the player toby not giving them too much information. You are left to figure things out on your own just like in war. You don’t have all the answers; you just have to hope things work out. With the characters always changing, there is always something new to love. If you are looking for an enjoyable game that can keep you entertained for a few hours then this is something you should check out.

A single playthrough may take roughly 8 hours or so. There’s rarely a slowdown in this well-paced game. Now will you discover all areas of the game and access all its content in 8 hours? Not likely. There’s also new game plus (a hard mode) which unlocks after completing the game. When you take that into consideration, there’s a lot of time to spend here. Hyper Light Drifter is a very well-made and well-executed game that succeeds in constantly challenging you forward. No adventure fan should miss out on this experience.

In short, it’s a good JRPG and one you should give your attention to if you’re looking to play something different. We often don’t have games that are cyber punk in nature and it’s rare that it’s a detective story as well. The game is packed with enough content to keep you engaged. I haven’t even mentioned that there are post game challenges, a new game plus mode, local/online battle, and arena challenges as well. Ultimately, DSCS is a game any lover of JRPGs will enjoy, Digimon fandom isn’t required.
