Long time fans of the genre looking to get their fix on the console(s) will find what they need here. Unfortunately, they are also going to find the things that hinder the genre on anything other than a PC. As I said, there is something here to be enjoyed, you just have to put up with and / or overlook some things in order to get there. Tropico 3 is a faithful port of the original PC game but is just out of its own element. It feels like you are playing the game through an emulator; the main game is there, but it does not feel like it belongs thanks to the control interface and graphical hiccups. True enjoyment of the game should be had with its original PC brethren, not a broken console representation.

You've seen Calling before. Even if you've never even heard of Hudson Entertainment's newest horror game, you have still seen its inspirations in The Ring, The Grudge, One Missed Call and dozens of other movies. If stumbling around in the dark not knowing what to do sounds like the kind of experience you want to have, then Calling is definitely one game you will want to track down. Everybody else should just let this call go to voice mail!

Although Last Rebellion feels dated with its still images in place of animations and abysmal voice and dialogue direction, the intriguing storyline and challenging battles make for a fun experience. This is a definite rent-it situation.

Are you a gamer? Do you own a Wii? Then you need Red Steel 2. In fact, this game is a reason to own a Wii all by itself. It delivers on the promises of the first game and then some, offering razor sharp controls, a beautiful art style one of the most visceral action experiences of 2010. There's really nothing else like it right now.

Square Enix really outdid themselves with Star Ocean: The Last Hope International. This is a huge, gorgeous adventure with a memorable storyline and plenty of cool twists. Better yet, it has some of the most compelling combat sequences ever found in a Japanese role-playing game. If you're a fan of traditional RPGs, then you need to play what has to be one of Square Enix's best console games in years!

MAG tries and does some things well. 256 player battles still seem too chaotic and the game relies heavily on having a good team which is hard when it's a public style offering. There needs to be more maps added and some balancing between the factions but overall, it's got the makings of being a good game if Zipper keeps on improving it.

There's very little to love in Vancouver 2010, Sega's half-assed attempt to make a must-own game out of the 2010 Winter Olympics. This dud features confusing controls, lackluster events and only a couple of hours of gameplay. At least the game looks good. As they say: Don't go where the huskies go, don't eat the yellow snow and definitely don't buy Vancouver 2010 for the PS3!

Fans of Rainbow Studios' MX vs. ATV series will find a lot to like in Reflex, as long as they can get used to the new controls. The reflex system is a little finicky but has potential for a lot of depth. The other additions Reflex introduces are a bit uneven but overall the game is a promising new direction for the series.

Matt Hazard: Blood, Bath, and Beyond is a fun little romp from start to finish. If you like the classic 2-dimensional side scrolling shooters of old, this game will be right up your alley. The title has its shortcomings, such as the difficulty and occasionally lack of indciation on when you can progress past a room, but nothing that really holds it back from being a thoroughly enjoyable ride. Please note though that this isn't one for the kiddies, as even the menu screen(s) drops the f-bomb on gamers. If you want a fun / arcadey romp with no strings attached... this should wet your appetite.

Just a year after reviving my faith in the fighting game genre with SF4, Capcom manages to deliver what I consider to be the best fighting game in a very long, long time. This is easily the best fighting game since MvC2 and time may prove it as the better of the two. Fighting game fans should be flocking to the Wii to get their hands on this title. If you have a Wii and have complained at the lack of mainstream / hardcore games, look no further as Capcom has you covered with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars. TvC may be the most complete package available on Nintendo's console right now. This is simply a phenomenal game that I think that fighting fans and gamers in general will thoroughly enjoy...

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers is full of fantastic ideas, unfortunately it's marred by repetitive gameplay, questionable gameplay decisions, terrible voice acting and unlikeable characters. If you can get over those problems you'll find a good looking game with a decent story!
