It’s best not to think of this as a Wii U game, but rather a dance game that just happens to be on Nintendo’s new system. The Wii U integration is shallow at best. The rest of the game is packed with content, which is nice, but the same problems that plague the Wii and the Move version exist here as well, and it’s a limitation that is not going away. Just Dance 4 is a decent game that is better on the Kinect. The Wii U version has a lot to offer, but you really have to want to embrace this game in order to get the most of it.

Despite the slow starting story and the handful of glitches, the staggering beauty and well-balanced gameplay make the single-player campaign among the most technically sophisticated games of this generation of consoles. Throw in the multiplayer and you have a fantastic overall package. You will root for this game to be perfect, because it comes so close. But because of that, when it fails, it will take you right out of the moment. The story begins slowly, and even though it picks up, it is never really engrossing, while handful of glitches will make a memorable firefight into one you will want to forget. But, Crysis 2 is still a must play for FPS fans. It is without question the best-looking game on any console, and it is just fun to play. The multiplayer is also a blast, but the long wait to open things up might scare people away and back towards one of the dozens of other online FPS titles waiting to embrace them. There are a few things to dislike about this game, but they are few, and compared to the excellence of the game, minor. Crysis 2 is a game worth playing, and one that will make a lasting impression.

MLB 11 The Show is simply the king of baseball video games. It looks and moves so well that you could almost believe that you were watching a real game. Fans will lean over the railing for foul balls, and the players that slide will retain dirt on their uniform throughout the game–it is the details that really help. The real selling point to convince people that already have baseball games and are looking for an excuse to upgrade, is the pitching system thanks to the analog. It makes pitching feel original and fun, and recreates the mechanism. The “Road to the Show” is also greatly improved, and both offer plenty for anyone looking for a new game to check out. If you are a baseball and/or a video game sports fan, MLB 11 The Show is worth your time. I found myself really following the stats of the players and learning the lineups of several teams, and after a few playthroughs, I found myself yearning for the noralgic grass of a real stadium under a summer sun. But since I can’t have that for a while yet, I’m fine with settling for MLB 11 The Show in the meantime.

Knights Contract is not a terrible game, it is just a frustrating one that lacks any originality and then fills gameplay gaps with annoying clichés that were never fun to begin with. If you are one of the few rare, and potentially certifiable people who actually enjoy escort missions, your perversions will be fully realized in this game which is nothing but. The gameplay is fun at times, although it feels somewhat imprecise in its movements. Knights Contract is the equivalent of a Sy-Fy Channel original movie about killer alligators, which you will watch without once utilizing your brain. Maybe you will enjoy it, but odds are you will forget it even as you are playing it. But then imagine that the actor you have hated your entire life, the one person you really hope does not ever make another movie or star in another TV show, is the hero of the movie, and you have Knights Contract. The sad thing is there might have been a good game buried in there somewhere, but it died a slow death at the hands of mediocrity. There are just so many shortcuts taken that kill this game. Even the escort mission could have been slightly augmented with a co-op — although who would want to play as a weak character with limited magic is beyond me, but it would have been something. Knights Contract is a weak offering that might be fun for a little while, but quickly teeters towards annoying. And I still don’t understand why there isn’t an apostrophe in the title.
