War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is actually a pretty good tactical game for mobile. Despite its rather complicated gameplay and tiring farming for free-to-play players, it can be really entertaining to play in a long run, provided you are fine with gacha titles. Even if you won’t touch multiplayer, its single player campaign alone will give most gamers enough content for hours upon hours of gameplay.

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is a fast-paced adventure that is a breath of fresh air for the game series. For me, what sets Shinobi Striker apart and makes its shine from its previous games is the unparalleled customization that the game offers.

What I did wish was for the option to have an English dub, as reading so much got tiresome after long periods of time. Though as someone who genuinely wants to learn Japanese, this was a blessing in disguise and eventually I got used to all the reading and the story stayed captivating enough for me keep going. If you like a nice cross between Pokémon and Persona 5, this game gives it to you quite well. With battle mechanics that gamers already know, the familiarity of a series most have grown up with, and a compelling roster of characters and situations, this game can easily become addictive in the quest to retain your identity and have a blast along the way. If only the graphics and the camera issues were addressed a bit more, this truly could’ve been a much stronger game.

Overall, the Curse of Osiris expansion falls terribly flat. Coming from someone who has invested more than a thousand hours into the first game, this first expansion is not a good sign for what’s to come. The story campaign, while having a great concept, is way too short to be enjoyed. The activities don’t have as much hook to keep players from playing after the weekly milestones, and the raid lair feels like a rather lazy way out of just creating a whole new “Raid”. There are a ton of new additions to the Eververse store, so good news for those who value customization a lot! I’ll give props to the new Vex themed weapons and armor sets, they look absolutely amazing and once you get them, you’ll spend enough time and effort just mixing and matching things to suit your taste. Bungie did say that there will be constant improvements made to the state of the game in the weeks and months to come such as the addition of Masterworks weapons, return of Three of Coins, and other general improvements so we’ll keep an eye out for these but as it stands, Curse of Osiris was a fun endeavor, albeit a short one, that I’m not sure can keep the attention of players unlike the expansions from Destiny 1.

L.A. Noire was a great game back then and is still a good game now. While it may not be for everybody, it is definitely a game that should be played by everyone at least once because the design is superb and the feeling of cracking that case is extremely satisfying. Cole Phelps moves around Los Angeles like he’s got weights around his legs but this doesn’t stop the game from being an awesome detective action adventure that can get you hooked as easily as an episode of CSI.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar indeed lives up to the hype it’s generated since it came out of Kickstarter. The game is a visual treat and combat is fantastic! The game offers so much in terms of layers and mechanics that it’s a shame that not all of them are explained well and you have to take some time to just pause the game and read up on the manual. Game is a bit linear but the amount of things to do kind of makes up for it. If you’re a turn-based RPG fan, you’ll want to get your hands on this.
