Nintendo's 1080° Snowboarding is a remarkable game and our hats are off to the big 'N.' With a handful of unique tracks, air-make and half-pipe modes, two-player and Rumble Pak support, an ultra-realistic look with spectacular graphics and tons of tricks, jumps, and air there is a lot of fun to be had with this game. We only wish Nintendo had spent a few more months implementing additional tracks and removing invisible walls before its release. Still, snowboarding fanatic or not, you must get this game.

If you absolutely suck at playing games or you're a 2D newcomer (or you're six years old), this game is a must-buy. Everyone else, save your money and rent it for a weekend. Two days is unfortunately enough to see everything the game has to offer. Yoshi's Story will most definitely sell many many copies based on the reputation of its predecessor. But there will be a lot of unhappy gamers once they discover that Nintendo's mantra seems to have changed to Quality over Quantity of Levels. Trust us: You'll love it when you rent the game, but don't buy it. You'll finish it in a weekend -- but don't quit playing until you have seen the fourth level on each page...

Nagano Winter Olympics '98 is a flawed game with a few highlights that has "hurry and get it out in time for the Olympics" written all over it. There is virtually nothing here that even comes close to Sega's Winter Heat, or Epyx's classic Winter Games. If the TV-coverage of the Games isn't enough for you, you will probably want to rent Nagano for a day or two -- but be warned that this is not a good multiplayer title. Konami has shown what it can do with International Superstar Soccer (programmed by its in-house team "Major A"), but Diamond Dusts's first 64-bit effort will leave you out in the cold. This one won't win any medals. Okay, I'll stop with the puns, but please don't buy this game.
