Certamente questo gioco va controcorrente rispetto alla generazione alla quale appartiene: la grafica, comunque di alto livello, viene posta come obiettivo secondario
rispetto alla longevità e giocabilità, veri punti di forza di MTX Mototrax. L'ambiente del motocross USA è riprodotto in maniera veramente fedele alla realtà, speriamo che il gioco abbia una risonanza maggiore di quella prodotta dallo sport, in quanto è un titolo che merita veramente parecchio. La sola nota che si può fare agli ideatori è quella di non avere inserito il Motard, ibrida disciplina delle moto che incrocia caratteristiche delle vetture da strada con quelle da cross.
MTX: Mototrax excels where it really needs to: providing that sense of speed and creating a fun driving system that rewards racers with plenty of skidding and massive jumps. The riders look like they have a sense of weight to them and the tricks look fantastic. With a well-executed online system, racing others on the Internet is a user-friendly experience.
The tracks themselves have plenty of twists, turns and jumps to master, but a total of 16 racing tracks is a little small, especially if a gamer strongly prefers either supercross or motocross racing. The Free Ride areas and the Freestyle course give a nod to the world of freestyle racing, but MTX: Mototrax doesn't flesh them out enough to make it a completely worthwhile addition to the game.
Overall, MTX: Mototrax provides one of the best places for the experience of racing in the dirt and having it online makes it even better. The racing tracks are fun to ride and with online stats there's a compelling reason to keep shaving seconds off your time. If only there were more tracks to race on.
Après l'avoir essayé sur Playstation 2 durant quelques heures, j'avais été séduit par l'honnêteté et le fun présents dans MTX Mototrax, qui ne payait pourtant pas de mine, disposé seul sur une table. J'attendais donc avec confiance cette mouture PC. Malheureusement, la déception s'impose violemment et sans prévenir. Due en grande partie à cause d'une adaptation bâclée et sans âme, elle handicape fortement un titre disposant tout de même d'atouts non feints. A essayer pour vous faire un avis, mais il est dommage de voir encore un portage raté.
