Wolfenstein: Youngblood sigue manteniendo el encanto de las anteriores entregas desarrolladas por MachineGames y un extra de brutalidad gracias a nuevos poderes algo más futuristas. El hecho de que haya dos protagonistas le da un rollo cooperativo que se agradece, aunque lamentablemente se echa a perder el tener dos estilos diferenciados de juego con cada una si no accedemos al online, ya que en el juego offline son completamente clónicas a nivel de gameplay. El frenetismo de sus tiroteos, su excelente apartado técnico y artístico, y el toque de comedia negra que impregna esta distopía hacen que siga siendo tan completamente disfrutable matar nazis como en la primera entrega.

Wolfenstein Youngblood è uno sparatutto in bilico tra un sequel effettivo e uno spin-off, che punta soprattutto sul suo nuovo lato cooperativo, davvero ben riuscito e in grado di regalare ore e ore di divertimento se si affronta l’avventura in compagnia. Il nuovo modo di approcciarsi alla campagna modifica un po’ le basi della trama, meno approfondita rispetto ai primi due capitoli, lasciando tuttavia molto più spazio a un gameplay che di base non è cambiato molto rispetto al passato. Se avete apprezzato lo stile delle precedenti avventure di Terror Billy e se magari avete un amico con cui condividere questa carneficina di nazisti, non rimarrete affatto delusi dal titolo di MachineGames.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood se queda un paso por detrás de los anteriores... Lo cual no quiere decir que sea malo, ni mucho menos. La fórmula es tan efectiva como siempre y los cambios le sientan sorprendentemente bien. Además, puedes matar nazis con un amigo; matar nazis con un amigo es la caña.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood non è esattamente il sequel che ci aspettavamo, ma forse è l’incipit di una “nuova via” per la serie: la svolta RPG e cooperativa rende sicuramente il gioco più godibile, seppur gli amanti degli shooter old style potrebbero restare “insoddisfatti” dal notevole numero di “ostacoli” da superare per riuscire a godere appieno del flusso dinamicamente vivace a cui la serie ci ha da tempo abituato.

Pur non offrendo particolari innovazioni, Wolfenstein: Youngblood riesce a dare una boccata d'aria fresca alla serie di Bethesda. Il merito è certamente dell'aggiunta di Arkane Studios, che ha offerto il proprio talento nel level design per dar vita a tutta una serie di segreti e percorsi alternativi che rendono l'esplorazione più frizzante, ma anche di alcune trovate che stimolano la cooperazione e potrebbero fare da preludio a ciò che Machinegames ha in serbo per il terzo capitolo canonico della serie. Ottima l'idea del Buddy Pass, che a fronte di un investimento modesto permette a due giocatori di godersi l'avventura insieme.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood è senza dubbio un prodotto interessante, soprattutto se si cerca un'avventura coop da condividere con un proprio amico. La scarsa longevità non aiuta moltissimo, soprattutto se affiancata ad una trama sì gradevole, ma sottotono se paragonata ai passati capitoli della serie. Il titolo rimane comunque valido sotto il profilo del gameplay, con un gunplay perfetto e frenetico ed una pregevole cura ai dettagli. Concludendo, ci sentiamo di consigliare Youngblood a tutti i fan della saga in attesa del terzo capitolo, ma anche a chi cerca un ottimo fps da giocare in compagnia. Non sottovalutando anche il vantaggioso prezzo budget, capace di far gola a chiunque.

In definitiva, Wolfenstein: Youngblood è un’esperienza divertente da giocare in cooperativa che purtroppo sacrifica lungo il percorso la ricchezza narrativa guadagnata con The New Colossus. L’esperimento GDR appare riuscito ed il level design fa grandi passi in avanti grazie ad Arkane Studios. Si poteva però fare davvero di meglio per una saga così illustre.

Wolfenstein Youngblood es un experimento. Uno que coquetea con las estructuras no lineales, las progresiones por niveles y el endgame. No hay duda de que sigue siendo más shooter que looter, aunque tampoco de que se ha fijado y mucho en lo que este género está haciendo y consiguiendo. Para ello, se desembaraza de carga narrativa y se echa de menos. También de la pureza de matar nazis sin necesidad de fijarse en niveles y estadísticas. En cooperativo con un amigo es divertido y diría que más desafiante. No obstante, no hay duda de que es una forma completamente diferente de ver Wolfenstein. Quizá más moderna, pero distinta.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood begins with Soph and Jess killing their first Nazi and ends with both caked in blood from their conquests. The co-op action of Youngblood may be a complete reversal of many of the previous game’s core gameplay mechanics, but it’s a fun, bombastic time. The new hubs, while empty and lifeless, provide a fresh way to interact with a Wolfenstein world. The story suffers tremendously from this open approach, but MachineGames provides plenty of shootouts to spectacles to keep players engaged. Gunplay has never felt better, but the bullet-sponge nature of the enemies and lack of necessary ammo dilute what is otherwise an enjoyable game to play. Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a different beast from its predecessors. While some of it works, other aspects fall flat. Youngblood is a fun distraction with a friend, but if you want the full Wolfenstein experience, you’ll need to wait for Wolfenstein III.

Faire évoluer Wolfenstein était une idée risquée mais dans l'absolu non dénuée d'intérêt. Ayant profité des connaissances d'Arkane en matière de level-design, Machine Games nous sert avec Wolfenstein Youngblood une sorte d'hybride engoncé entre de l'action frénétique et son envie de s'ouvrir à des environnements plus vastes et des approches différentes. Malheureusement, bien qu'on retrouve les qualités des précédents Wolfenstein, on a également droit à ses défauts dont une IA extrêmement volatile. Le hic est qu'elle vaut cette fois pour nos ennemis mais aussi notre sœur sur qui il est difficile de compter en Solo. On profitera donc du jeu Coop, bien plus sympathique mais finalement assez quelconque dans ce qu'il propose. En résulte un jeu à la dimension RPG intéressante mais non aboutie, à de fausses bonnes idées et à un aspect redondant trop prononcé toutefois servi par des gunfights toujours aussi intenses.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is an aggressively okay co-op shooter that doesn’t come close to recapturing the joy of its predecessor’s action or its surprisingly interesting characters and story. It doesn’t completely fumble the fun of its weapons and abilities or counteract the pleasing sensation of squishing Nazis between your toes, but it does make it harder to enjoy at seemingly every turn with an out-of-place leveling system, busted stealth gameplay, some aggravating boss fights and inadequate checkpoint saves. Frankly, I expected more from the Blazkowicz twins.

Jeu de tir coopératif somme toute décent, Wolfenstein : Youngblood ne parvient jamais à proposer une action aussi prenante et une intrigue et des personnages aussi intéressants que son prédécesseur. S’il reste toujours sympathique de défourailler du nazi en utilisant un vaste éventail d’armes et de capacités, cela se révèle moins plaisant que par le passé en raison d’un système de niveau inapproprié, d’un gameplay furtif sans intérêt et de points de contrôles mal pensés. J’en attendais définitivement plus des jumelles Blazkowicz.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood just never finds the right groove. The game’s needless RPG elements, microtransactions, and sloppy non-linear structure are obvious mistakes, but it also has some surprising basic level design and pacing problems. Wolfenstein: Youngblood can still be good, visceral fun in fits and starts, but overall, the game lacks the maturity of the elder Blazkowicz’ adventures.

If you're looking for something to tide you over until the inevitable Wolfenstein 3, Youngblood probably won't scratch your itch. It takes many steps back to the point where it feels like a lesser experience even when compared to shooters beyond this series. There's little of value added and it fails to even be declared average at best thanks to bugs and poor AI.
