The bottom line is that Bully: Scholarship Edition is one of those games that you have an extremely hard time putting down and allows the mischievous kid in all of us to come out. It is engaging, fun to play and downright additive at times. There are some flaws that can’t be overlooked, but all in all it is worth buying and spending the time exploring the Bullworth virtual World.

Bully: Scholarship Edition is a solid translation of the original PS2 game. It gives a little extra, but is at its core the same game. Though it has some limitations, particularly in the lack of depth of the social structure, there are many other great aspects to enjoy. And really, there is no other game like Bully on 360. If you haven't figured it out yet, Bully is a great game. Go out and buy it (for a mere $50); you won't regret the purchase.

Ein Revival dieser Art macht dem faulen Redakteur das Leben leicht, kann er doch Teile seines damaligen Fazits einfach recyceln, die heute nichts an Wahrheit verloren haben: Die überwältigende Liebe zum Detail, die tolle Inszenierung, der tiefschwarze Cartoon-Humor, die brillanten Dialoge, die groovyfunkyrocknrolly Musik – all das und mehr machen Bully zu einem einzigartigen Spiel, das einen ganz speziellen Charakter entfaltet, den es weder in Liberty City noch in San Andreas gibt. Eine Art Mini-GTA, ganz ohne die fiese Brutalität, Knarren, Blut, Autos und Helikopter, dafür mit vielen frischen Ideen und noch mehr Zynismus – eine schöne Abwechslung! Allerdings ist es viel zu einfach (es gab nur eine Hand voll Missionen, die ich nicht beim ersten Anlauf gepackt hätte) und der Mehrspielermodus zwar eine nette Ergänzung, aber immer noch weit von den Möglichkeiten entfernt, die das Spielkonzept geboten hätte. Die grafischen Verfeinerungen der 360- und PC-Fassungen schaffen es zwar nicht ganz, den PS2-Staub zu kaschieren, jedoch ist das Spiel auch weit davon entfernt hässlich zu sein. Und die Wii-Steuerung? Nun, wenn man auf das Skateboard verzichtet, dann funktioniert sie ganz gut. Alles in allem also nach wie vor ein exzellentes, ungewöhnliches und durchdachtes Spiel, das dieses Mal hoffentlich ein breiteres Publikum erreicht – und genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt erscheint, stimmt es doch optimal auf GTA 4 ein.

Bully is a surprisingly simple and rather tame game by Rockstar's standards, but that's part of its charm. It's a fun experience from start to finish and a welcome breath of fresh air.

Bully es, pese a su pésima ejecución, un brillante título y una genial propuesta. Adaptando la fórmula GTA a una escuela, Rockstar sale triunfadora en el aspecto jugable, con un desarrollo completo, adictivo y realmente divertido. La calidad del port como tal es otro cantar, las caídas en la tasa de imágenes por segundo son notables, y el juego en lo visual deja la sensación de que no ha habido mucho esfuerzo a la hora de trasladarlo a una consola tan potente como Xbox 360. Por fortuna la fortaleza de Jimmy Hopkins no es su aspecto sino su indudable personalidad.

Bully Scholarship Edition exploite le genre avec panache et habileté, nous donnant l'impression d'évoluer avec le neveu de l'un des personnages de GTA. La surenchère de langage grossier et de violence gratuite parvient à rester digeste grâce à une vraie exploitation de la personnalité des nombreux personnages que Jimmy rencontre au fil de l'aventure. Celle-ci se vit donc intensément et saura ravir les amateurs du travail de Rockstar. Le développeur a su conserver sa patte, parfois maladroite certes, sans pour autant nous servir du réchauffé. Et ça, c'est un plus non négligeable.

Alla fine della lezione, dopo il suono stordente ma liberatorio della campanella, Bully: Scholarship Edition esce dall’aula con un sorriso beffardo sul volto. Seppur ottenendo la promozione in campi come la “longevità” e la “varietà”, il pargolo di Rockstar Games viene inevitabilmente rimandato a Settembre a causa della sua scarsa applicazione in materie fondamentali come “grafica” e “innovazione”. Difatti, durante tutta la durata del corso scolastico, il ragazzo si è dimostrato sempre troppo indisciplinato e poco volenteroso a migliorare i propri risultati in alcuni campi specifici, tant’è che la sua crescita verso la “next-gen” resta inevitabilmente poco sviluppata (per un risultato finale troppo vicino a quelli della passata generazione di console). In definitiva, l’allievo ha le potenzialità ma non si applica, il rendimento è calato e litiga con i compagni di classe invece di tentare di migliorare la propria situazione personale. E per cortesia, qualcuno gli sequestri una volta per tutte quella beneamata fionda...
