Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has topped themselves once again with Yakuza: Like a Dragon! This new take on Yakuza brings a lot of fun, new ideas to the table while remaining its heartfelt self. Turn based combat is somehow a perfect fit for this new direction, the characters are all instantly loveable, and the story is endearingly melodramatic.

Amnesia: Rebirth mantiene dei tenui collegamenti con Amnesia The Dark Descent e spicca finalmente il volo, nobilitando il genere con temi molto adulti e non semplici da trattare, sempre con quell'impronta di tipica sperimentazione a cui la software svedese ci ha abituato. Si è forse attenuato l'orrore puro che era in grado di suscitare il precedente capitolo, ma l'intera serie ha adesso compiuto un importante passo in avanti, con drammi umani raccontati con grande intensità e con un gusto per il fantastico che vi sedurrà.

Chrono Cross es un gran ejemplo de la época dorada del JRPG en la primera PlayStation: un título que apuesta por una historia ambiciosa de realidades alternativas, con ideas interesantes, aunque algún que otro giro algo forzado. Posee además un sistema de combate fresco y una música que cuenta con algunos de los mejores temas que he escuchado nunca en un videojuego. El mayor problema viene de una remasterización que no hace todos los deberes ni arregla todo lo que habría que arreglar; en especial, el framerate en los combates y un mejor tratamiento de los fondos prerrenderizados. La buena noticia es que llega por primera vez con traducción oficial y con el añadido de la aventura de texto Radical Dreamers. Si quieres conocer este clásico JRPG de Square, aunque no en las mejores circunstancias, sí es la mejor oportunidad para ello.

Star Wars: Squadrons delivers a fantastic single player story, excellent flight combat, and dogfighting that feels incredible. Gorgeous graphics translate perfectly to VR, and HOTAS support is the only way to play this game. There’s simply nothing like this -- now let’s see if EA can deliver more maps and modes to give us more reasons to climb in the cockpit over and over.
