When it all works like it should, The House of the Dead: Remake is a fun update of a Sega arcade classic. The performance can be janky and the controls clunky on its default settings, but if you’re willing to put the time in to tweak them you should get something you’re happier with. You shouldn’t have to do that with a light gun shooter, though, and the fact you do has to go down as a failing on the game’s part.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury contains two excellent Mario games, but is unfortunately held back by frustrating controls, especially in multiplayer, and a lot of waiting in Bowser’s Fury when going for 100%. If you can get past that though, you’re in for some of the best 3D platforming Mario has to offer.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe è tuttora un gioco bellissimo, il migliore della serie, il più riuscito e omogeneo, sia a livello grafico che ludico. Non è un'opera magniloquente, ma un florilegio di haiku bucolici, dolci e perfino tragici. Le tematiche che tratta, come l'ambientalismo e l'esplorazione spaziale, pur sommariamente esplorate, sono tra le più importanti e significative della nostra contemporaneità. È un omaggio alla natura, alla sua bellezza e severità, e questa edizione Switch fa tutto il possibile - davvero tutto - per rendere il gioco, a livello di comandi, più semplice e accessibile che mai. Se non lo avete giocato su Wii U, aggiungete pure due decimali al voto qui a fianco: purtroppo gli innesti esclusivi di quest'edizione, che riguardano le missioni di Olimar, sono meno significativi di quanto ci aspettassimo.
