Concord è un hero shooter con un comparto grafico efficace e un gunplay davvero divertente, caratteristiche che però non riescono a risaltare per via della presenza di problematiche non di poco conto, sia in merito al bilanciamento del roster, sia in merito alla caratterizzazione dei singoli combattenti. Il funzionamento della modalità a round è da rivedere e il sistema di progressione ci è parso privo di mordente, a causa di ricompense non degne di attenzione. Insomma, attualmente la situazione del titolo a firma Firewalk Studios non è affatto rosea.

Concord is a clean and well-meaning first-person shooter, with no shady business practices to boot. Its lack of real identity is an issue, and it’s difficult to determine just how much Sony is going to get behind it long-term. However, there’s a polished and beautifully presented experience on offer here, with some interesting tactical team-building systems and sublime animations. Firewalk’s debut may not be out of this world, but it’s genuinely pretty good overall.

Au risque de décevoir ses détracteurs, Concord est un très bon hero shooter qui pourrait très bien faire de l’ombre aux cadors du genre, si tant est qu’une communauté de joueurs le portent jusque-là. Le jeu service de Firewalk s’appuie sur des arguments solides : de super sensations de shoot, 16 héros variés et parfaitement huilés, une technique et une direction artistique impeccable et même de séduisantes perspectives tactiques. En l’état, on regrette juste des modes de jeu trop classiques ainsi qu’un univers qui aurait mérité une place plus importante au sein de l’expérience... Deux points qui ne sont pas gravés dans le marbre et qui s’amélioreront très certainement au gré des futures mises à jour (toutes gratuites, il n’y a pas de season pass ou de battle pass, on le rappelle). Une très bonne pioche. On a adoré !

There’s a lot to like in Madden NFL 25. The on-field action is the best it's been and BOOM Tech and the additions from College Football 25 make it a better game than Madden NFL 24. The presentation upgrades are very welcome too, but the modes are functionally the same. Ultimate Team is still a Skinner Box, Superstar is still mediocre, and the Skills Trainer, while great, really needs an update to help newer and lapsed players along. Franchise is the best thing here, and it still needs help. The improvements it did get are nice, but also long overdue, and you don’t get a parade for doing things you should have done years ago. EA seems content to continue skating by on being the only company with the NFL license. Remember that bit about the definition of insanity?

La versione di lancio di Concord presenta diversi punti di forza, soprattutto dal punto di vista estetico e narrativo, ma mostra alcune carenze a livello tecnico e di gameplay. Nonostante gli otto anni di sviluppo, il gioco manca di originalità e freschezza nella scrittura, elementi che avrebbero potuto conferirgli una personalità distintiva nel panorama degli FPS hero-shooter. Le somiglianze con altri franchise già presenti su console e PC sono numerose, e alcuni difetti tecnici, come i lunghi tempi di matchmaking, il lag e gli squilibri tra i personaggi, sollevano diverse perplessità. Il comparto estetico e grafico è senza dubbio uno dei punti di forza di Concord, con un’attenzione ai dettagli che risplende sullo schermo del nostro PC. Tuttavia, affidarsi esclusivamente ai contenuti post-lancio per arricchire un gunplay che al momento del lancio risulta anonimo non è sufficiente. La prima impressione è fondamentale, e Firewalk Studios avrebbe potuto lanciare Concord con maggiore impatto per competere su un mercato già molto concorrenziale.

Se da una parte Firewalk Studios ha dimostrato ampiamente tutta l'esperienza maturata dai suoi sviluppatori nei fondamentali degli sparatutto in prima persona e nella costruzione del mondo, dall'altra Concord è una produzione che non riesce a far brillare quel talento come dovrebbe. Con un design degli eroi del tutto dimenticabile, una serie di meccaniche spesso contraddittorie, nonché un bilanciamento generale che sembra richiedere ancora tanto lavoro, fatica ad andare oltre la sufficienza garantita dallo scheletro della formula FPS e dall'elevatissimo grado di pulizia tecnica. Il problema più grande, tuttavia, sta nel modello di distribuzione: dopo aver rinunciato ad affrontare un'indispensabile fase di test assieme al proprio pubblico, sceglie di debuttare sul mercato come l'unico hero shooter a pagamento, senza offrire validi elementi a sostegno di tale decisione.

Concord presenta un estupendo gameplay como first person shooter a la vez que nos hace regresar a tiempos más sencillos con un sistema de progresión tradicional, aunque escaso. Por desgracia, su falta de personalidad hace que no consiga captar la atención que debería merecer en un género en el que ya hay demasiados juegos.

It takes time for Black Myth: Wukong's combat to truly click, but when it does, this is one of the most creative action titles on PS5. One after another, its spectacular boss battles steal the show — a procession of memorable encounters that showcase the game's incredible artistry. As a whole, however, the experience is held back by limited level design and frustrating technical issues on PS5 — a damn shame, since Wukong is pure monkey magic at its peak.
