Magical Delicacy is a unique game that easily succeeds at carving out its own niche in a competitive battleground of indie titles. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, and its Ghibli-esque cast and setting feel real, tangible, and plausible in a way that makes you excited to bring each new friend or acquaintance exactly the dish they’ve been craving. I’m hoping that it gets patched with a hint system, but even without one, the game is stuffed to the brim with charm, and it fully lives up to its name…magical.

Magical Delicacy is a cooking metroidvania which you can easily lose yourself in. Like any good fantasy, it encourages exploration and it doesn’t punish you for your mistakes. With an intriguing story, you can really put yourself in Flora’s shoes as you learn about the Kingdom of Grat with her.

En fin de compte, nous pouvons féliciter Hot Lap Racing de tenter de combler le vide de jeux de course axés simulation sur Nintendo Switch. Cependant, malgré ses bonnes intentions et certaines réussites notables, le jeu est freiné par des choix de conception qui ne plairont pas à tout le monde et par des limitations techniques. En cherchant à offrir une expérience hybride entre arcade et simulation, Hot Lap Racing peine à satisfaire pleinement les amateurs des deux genres. Cela dit, pour ceux qui cherchent une alternative aux nombreux jeux de course purement arcade disponibles sur la Switch, Hot Lap Racing mérite d’être essayé. Le jeu propose une variété de véhicules et de circuits qui plaira aux passionnés d’automobile, ainsi qu’une ambiance qui évoque les grandes heures du sport automobile.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an exciting action-strategy hybrid that left me yearning to know more about its inspirations and intricacies. The satisfying day-night structure of its stages evoked that overwhelming “just one more thing” feeling that easily had me losing track of time – and while it could occasionally be tainted by busy work base management deeper in, the overall experience was a delightfully unique one. It’s not the most challenging action game around, but the strategy it demands is still satisfying, and its wide range of interesting enemy designs and quiet but effective storytelling are something I’ll remember for a long while. It’s an odd thought, but I’m glad a game as enigmatic as Kunitsu-Gami exists.

Kunitsu-Gami è un gioco esemplare perché il team è riuscito a realizzare tutto ciò che si era prefissato. L'alternanza tra livelli, le battaglie con i boss e le rilassanti quanto veloci fasi di ricostruzione allontanano la noia e lasciano sempre con la stessa grande voglia di proseguire, di sbirciare la prossima sfida. Non è un open world ed è completamente esente da tempi morti: se hai mezz'ora, giocherai mezz'ora senza correre il rischio di non aver combinato nulla. Kunitsu-Gami è tradotto in italiano, non ha l'ombra di microtransazioni, il prezzo di lancio è di 49,99 Euro su ogni piattaforma e sarà presente fin dal primo giorno su Game Pass. Una meraviglia.

Kunitsu-gami es una genial mezcla de Tower Defense, acción y estrategia. Cuando lo vi por primera vez me atrajo su estilo visual, inspirado en el folclore y la mitología japonesa, y su apuesta por la originalidad. Nunca he sido, sin embargo, muy fan del Tower Defense, por lo que no sabía si este juego sería para mí. Tras jugarlo, me rindo completamente ante su propuesta. Capcom ha sabido equilibrar todas sus mecánicas para que no pierdan profundidad y, a su vez, resulten atractivas para todo tipo de jugadores. A poco que te interese, no lo dejes pasar.

Kunistu-Gami est une proposition presque indé supportée par un géant comme Capcom. Et au delà de savoir si c’est bien ou pas, on peut déjà louer l’initiative de la part du studio japonais. Mais en plus, cette proposition fonctionne, combinant habilement un jeu d’action compétent avec un bon tower defense, le tout enrobé dans un décor japonisant convaincant et maitrisé. Bref, c’est la bonne surprise de l’été.

Darkest Dungeon 2 may not be the sequel that ardent fans of the original wanted it to be, but its unique approach to that hard-edged, brutal roguelike gameplay is compelling all the same. A memorable art style, tons of replayability, and lots of mechanical depth make this one an easy recommendation to any roguelike fans, even if it can be a little grindy at times. If you’ve been looking for yet another tough roguelike to add to your collection, Darkest Dungeon 2 is certainly worth your time and your money.
