RoboCop: Rogue City faithfully recreates the classic character, but gives him nothing to work with. The narrative is dull, presentation is poor, and too many lackluster mechanics are shoehorned in. With unsatisfying action, this title is an empty metal shell of a game.

Robocop: Rogue City est une bonne adaptation en jeu vidéo de la trilogie originale. Avec une narration captivante, mais surtout une fidélité remarquable au matériau de base, Teyon a frappé juste et montre qu’il a du talent et de la passion quand il s’agit de retranscrire avec exactitude les licences cinématographiques de la fin du siècle dernier. Le studio arrive même à nous impressionner avec ses gunfights qui nous délivrent du pur fun, tout en nous faisant ressentir la puissance et la violence graphique de Robocop, qui s’offre par ailleurs un système d’amélioration solide. Seuls quelques soucis de game design et un relatif archaïsme dans la progression demeurent regrettables. Mais dans l’ensemble, Robocop: Rogue City coche presque toutes les cases de l’adaptation fidèle, et il ne lui manque qu’un peu plus de temps et de budget pour viser la lune. Au moins, on adore la reprise du thème musical principal, et surtout le retour de Peter Weller au doublage de notre héros de métal préféré.

Puzzles are meant to be solved; philosophy deals with something that, inherently, can’t be. That The Talos Principle 2 manages to explore both simultaneously is incredibly impressive. There are issues with the difficulty curve in spots and I wish certain things were more clear, but those complaints pale in comparison to everything The Talos Principle 2 does right. Its puzzles had me saying “I don’t know… I really don’t know,” out loud one moment and shouting “I am the smartest man alive!” moments later; its exploration of philosophy both challenged and supported my existing beliefs and made me consider new ones while managing to add a heck of a lot of books to my reading list; and perhaps most importantly, its thoughtful, heartfelt, and deeply moving story reaffirmed my faith in people, and in what we can accomplish if we are determined, to quote Tennyson, “to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”

The Talos Principle 2 has almost everything I could ever want out of a puzzle game. It builds upon the foundations of the original, and is a perfect callback to classics such as Portal and Myst. There’s a brave new world out there for you to explore, numerous sentient robots to meet, and countless puzzles that will make you wrack your brain. (Review Policy)

Como amante de los JRPG, he de aplaudir lo que se ha hecho con Star Ocean The Second Story R. Es muy respetuoso con el material original, tomándose las licencias justas para que sea más divertido y accesible jugarlo. El cambio gráfico le sienta muy bien, y la historia sigue siendo tan emotiva, abierta y variada como siempre. Si te gusta el JRPG clásico de la era de PSOne, te va a gustar

Star Ocean: The Second Story R marque non seulement le retour triomphal d’un grand JRPG sur les consoles modernes, mais s’impose également comme une référence en matière de remake. Square Enix a investi les ressources nécessaires pour le sublimer et le rendre incontournable aujourd’hui, tout en préservant son charme rétro. Le titre demeure robuste dans ses mécaniques de jeu et conforte sa position de meilleur opus de la série. On espère que ce renouveau permettra à Tri-Ace de faire revenir la licence aux côtés des plus grands après un Star Ocean The Divine Force moyen, mais encourageant.

Star Ocean The Second Story R è un remake di ottima fattura: la grafica di gioco e la giocabilità sono state rifinite rispetto all'originale di fine anni '90, mantenendo però il fascino del gioco originale, compresi gli sprite in 2D che vagano per gli scenari, ora realizzati in uno sfavillante 3D. Anche il sistema di combattimento d’azione in tempo reale è tornato per essere accessibile a tutti, grazie anche a nuove funzionalità aggiuntive. Insomma, un classico da riscoprire.
