RoboCop: Rogue City is easily the best RoboCop game to date. That in itself isn’t exactly a high bar, but regardless of the quality of previous RoboCop games, the developers got this one right. They put a lot of time in studying the source material, cramming the game with references to the films. The story is interesting enough, but does suffer from uneven pacing. Spending time at the precinct between missions to attend to more mundane things can break the momentum, but does help make the character feel like an actual police officer and not just a rampaging killbot. The mix of exploration, conversation, detective work and shoot outs help make the game feel more cinematic which is appropriate since it’s essentially written as a sequel to RoboCop 2. In spite of the criticisms mentioned in the review, RoboCop: Rogue City is an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. As a continuation of RoboCop’s story Rogue City works well and is worthy of the time of any RoboCop fan.

Thirsty Suitors has well-crafted RPG mechanics and satisfying combat, but its gleefully wild and colorful style and superb dialogue and characters are truly its biggest strength. It’s the type of game where you find yourself tempted to try every activity possible, either to see a loving ode to South Asian cultures, a well-written character moment or both. It’s an inspired bit of lunacy that still has a ton of heart at its core, creating an emotional journey in the end that still has a lot of room for more humorous bits. Jala’s life may be a mess at the start of the game, but cleaning up the mess leads to a grand amount of fun.

RoboCop : Rogue City est une adaptation respectueuse et efficace de l’illustre saga de science-fiction éponyme… ni plus ni moins. Le jeu de tir développé par Teyon et édité par Nacon applique scrupuleusement la formule du “FPS à l'ancienne”, non sans tenter de sortir des sentiers maintes fois battus avec plus ou moins de réussite. En définitive, RoboCop : Rogue City fera vibrer les fans de la franchise ainsi que tous les joueurs en quête d’action en provenance de 80’s. Mission accomplie (ou presque).

Just like RoboCop himself, Rogue City is only human, but it’s still pretty great. With an intriguing narrative and stellar side missions, exploring Old Detroit is a real treat. Gunplay feels heavy, and engaging your friends and opponents with words as well as bullets is satisfying. In a year filled with blockbusters, this is a cult classic.

Όπως και ο προκάτοχός του, το "The Prisoner of the Green Stone" είναι μια πραγματικά πολύ καλή και ιδανική επιλογή για νεότερες ηλικίες. Όχι μόνο μιλάμε για ένα πολυαγαπημένο franchise, αλλά και ένα καλοσχεδιασμό παιχνίδι με καλή διάρκεια γύρω στις 5-7 ώρες για πιο έμπειρους παίκτες και αρκετά παραπάνω για νεότερους. Και παρόλο που το βρήκα πιο μονότονο από ότι το προηγούμενο, οι μάχες του με κρατούσαν σε διαρκή εγρήγορση.

Eliminare orde di criminali con l’Auto-9 mentre in sottofondo si sente la colonna sonora del film originale è un’esperienza sicuramente appagante per gli appassionati. Al netto di piacevoli momenti, figli della nostalgia e collocati prevalentemente nella prima porzione di gioco, RoboCop Rogue City è un gioco sì dignitoso, ma non particolarmente solido nel suo insieme. Mostra infatti il fianco a una serie di problemi tecnici e di gameplay sui quali difficilmente potrà chiudere un occhio chi non è un fan sfegatato del poliziotto più famoso del cinema.

RoboCop Rogue City è frutto di un lavoro da parte degli sviluppatori di Teyon nel tentativo di migliorarsi rispetto ai lavori precedenti, ma il lavoro da svolgere è ancora lungo. Consci che il genere shooting non sia il loro cavallo di battaglia, hanno forse preferito diversificare l’offerta ludica e proporre soluzioni inconsuete, anche se non tutte implementate a dovere per ottenere un risultato ottimale. A conti fatti, questo titolo sembra metterci più a nostro agio quando deve far sentire il giocatore davvero nei panni di Alex Murphy, riprendendone gesti, battute e modus operandi, mentre pecca nei momenti in cui deve limitarsi al ruolo di concorrente per il trono degli FPS su console e PC. RoboCop Rogue City potrebbe segnare il punto di svolta nella carriera di Teyon, dal punto di vista delle ambizioni narrative? Una domanda che è giusto porsi, alla luce di questo titolo, soprattutto alla luce del vistoso miglioramento qui offerto e presentato, ma senza tralasciare la complessità delle costruzioni poligonali, animazioni facciali e ampiezza delle ambientazioni, accanto ad altre piccole problematiche non del tutto trascurabili.

Though an occasional lack of polish and size for size’s sake approach doesn’t always prove beneficial, a brilliant assortment of puzzles nestled amidst a thought-provoking but compelling narrative still grants The Talos Principle II status as a sequel well worth the near-decade wait. That Croteam can inject a surprising amount of smart designs into their puzzles, as much they can demonstrate a commendable level of maturity as to the writing and choices provided in their tale, proves that even after all these years, the team’s talents across an array of departments remains untainted. And in the sequel’s case, stronger than what came before. Mechanically and narratively stimulating throughout, The Talos Principle II is an accomplished follow-up that just might eclipse the 2014 original.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is, hands down, the best entry in the series, and one of the best remakes ever made. With the excellent combat reworking, massive slew of quality of life improvements and impressive 2D-HD visuals that make the game's simple yet engaging story and charming characters even more enjoyable, Gemdrops has set a very high bar for classic JRPGs remakes that will be very difficult to top.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R è esattamente ciò di cui la bistrattata serie ex tri-Ace aveva bisogno e la nostra speranza è che i fan dei GDR nipponici non si lascino sviare dalle ultime iterazioni deludenti o dall'aspetto volutamente retrò di un titolo che ha davvero tutto ciò che si potrebbe cercare in questo genere. Lo sviluppatore Gemdrops ha compiuto un piccolo miracolo e forse in certi momenti ha pure esagerato con le aggiunte, ma il risultato è un JRPG eccellente che combina in maniera esemplare la nostalgia e la modernità: una vera stella cometa da seguire per riportare sotto i riflettori vecchie glorie mai dimenticate che aspettano solo di tornare a brillare.
