Eleven years on, Legend of Nayuta still looks surprisingly modern. At least some of that stems from Peter ‘Durante’ Thoman’s team at PH3 working their customary sorcery. Not only does the title enjoy a solid sixty frame-per-second framerate, but fidelity has also been boosted, and even audio quality demonstrates a palpable improvement. The latter is especially important given the quality of Falcom Sound Team JDK’s work, with Boundless supplying an abundance of beguiling tracks. Although they tell some ambitious stories, Falcom’s mainline Trails games habitually demand familiarity from players. But The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is one of those marvelous exceptions. The game asks little more than for you to befriend its affable cast and appreciate its punchy real-time combat. Anyone with even a passing interest in action role-playing, should pay attention to Boundless’ appeal.

Lies of P es un Soulslike que te va a gustar, te lo aseguro. Tiene unos diseños de niveles excelentes y divertidos, una estupenda exploración y personalización de tu personaje. También es de elogiar su bonito apartado técnico y también el sonoro. Sin embargo, la continua sensación de déjà vu me ha sacado muchísimo de la experiencia. Copiar no es malo, pero sí dejarse devorar por la réplica. También hay varios jefes que son para darles de comer aparte… Sobre todo porque no existe la opción de invocar a un colega para que te ayude, solo a un PNJ con una IA bastante tontorrona. Le falta un pelín de refinamiento para ser recomendado sin un ápice de duda, pero es un juego divertido; cruel, pero divertido. Por eso, pese a que tenga muchos peros, con él, te lo recomiendo, porque está a un parche de ser un juego excelente.

On ne nous a pas menti : Lies of P est sans conteste un Souls-like largement influencé par les jeux From Software, Bloodborne en tête. Pour de bonnes raisons, avec notamment un univers inquiétant réussi, une belle quantité d’armes et d’attaques variées, et un gameplay solide. Malheureusement, il en résulte un effet à double tranchant où il accuse une infériorité sur quasiment chacune de ses inspirations, se révélant souvent moins épique, moins mémorable musicalement, moins fin dans ses décors, ou encore moins profond et inspiré au sujet de son lore. En bref, si l’analyse passe uniquement par le jeu des comparaisons, il est évident que Lies of P peine à remplir cette tâche bien trop immense de faire aussi bien que ses modèles. Mais si on ne le cantonne pas à cette seule image d’un simili Bloodborne, alors le constat s’éclaircit. En proposant avec générosité, et non sans maladresse, ses petites touches à lui, le tout à travers ce concept original de reprendre l’univers de Pinocchio sous un jour bien plus sombre via un récit plus accessible que ses influences, Lies of P est une belle réussite à mettre entre les mains des afficionados du genre.

Overall, there is plenty to explore within the confines of its vast yet linear areas and it rarely has a dull moment with plenty of enemy variety, incredible boss fights, and some truly spectacular visuals. If you’re a fan of From Software, then I expect you to now be a fan of Lies of P as it has all the right notes and feels like From Software themselves have been in the backend having a tinker on a fresh I.P and for that, we can only praise the solid work put in from Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio.

MK 1 est un sérieux candidat au titre de meilleur jeu de combat de l'année. Visuellement bluffant, accessible et toujours aussi gore, il ravira les fans par son contenu. Le portage sur Switch est cependant moins beau.

Mortal Kombat 1 was pitched as the start of a new era for Mortal Kombat, where NetherRealm Studios had complete freedom to craft the universe they wanted, mostly free from the previous two eras. In some ways, the studio has managed to get back to basics and deliver the best rendition of Mortal Kombat yet, but in others, they’ve second-guessed themselves and taken steps back. The story mode is thrilling and does a lot to establish characters that were previously forgotten or never got a chance to shine, and it even gives fan favorites a new lease on life. Much of that, however, is thrown away for an exhilarating yet absurd ending that repositions Mortal Kombat 1 as a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11 rather than a clean slate. In Mortal Kombat 1, we have the best iteration of the core fighting mechanics in years, but the extra content built around it is a grindy slog. The game presents a roster filled with classic characters and long-forgotten ones fans have clamored for for years, yet it feels compromised by the need to cut three characters to sell as DLC. Mortal Kombat 1 is a fun time teetering on the edge of greatness but held back by a lot of second-guessing and unnecessary grinding. Mortal Kombat 1 is a victory with most of its story, gameplay and presentation; it’s just nowhere near a flawless victory.

Mortal Kombat 1 on Nintendo Switch manages to deliver this superb game's Story and Towers modes in a state that's playable, but only if you've got plenty of patience. There are frame rate issues, big resolution dips, input and timing problems related to performance drops, missing content, game-breaking bugs in Invasion mode, long loading times, and unresponsive menus. If you are a huge Mortal Kombat fan whose only option is Switch, you may be able to press through all of this. However, if you have any other option, we suggest you stay away from this one for now.

Pour conclure ce test de Lies of P, le constat est simple. On en parlait même dès ses premièrs lignes : lorsque l'on joue à Lies of P, on a souvent le sentiment de jouer à un jeu FromSoftware. De quoi souligner les qualités des jeux tout en exacerbant ses défauts. Ils sont peu nombreux et minimes mais démontrent quand même FromSoftware reste un cran au-dessus et surtout le maître incontesté en la matière. Toutefois, Neowiz et Round8 livre une excellente copie. On retient les combats de boss nerveux et joussifs, une réflexion permanente de son build ainsi que les multiples choix de personnalisaton possible. Par ailleurs, cette réécriture du conte de Pinocchio montre facilement et de manière accessible comment nos choix et nos réponses peuvent avoir des conséquences sur le monde qui nous entoure. Avec Lies of P, Pinocchio n’est donc plus un pantin de bois rêvant d’être un jeune garçon puisqu’il est clairement dans la cour des grands.
