If your goal this Halloween season is to scare up some heart pounding, palm-sweating first person horror action, Quantum Error should be low on your list of priorities. Its stylish and unsettling camera work suggests a depth and mystery that just is not here. Instead, you’ll be terrorized by some extremely stupid and repetitive monsters and tortured by a painfully austere checkpoint system that comes with sometimes-gamebreaking respawns. Weapons are competent but rather mundane for the rich and moody sci-fi setting, and the ghost of missed opportunity haunts the firefighting system, which appears robust mechanically but is given almost no opportunity to justify its inclusion at all.

At the end of the day, I ask myself these questions about Quantum Error given the many genres it is trying to tackle. As a shooter game, is it fun? No. As a horror game, is it scary? Nope. As a firefighter simulator, is it cool? Sometimes I guess. Would I recommend this title as a full priced 60 dollar game? Never. TeamKill Media has done a commendable job being only a team of 4 to come up with something this massive and ambitious. However, this is another sad case of biting off more than you could chew. This might be up your alley if you’re into janky, B-movie messes.

EA Sports WRC segna due grandi ritorni: Codemasters che torna a sviluppare un gioco a tema rally e un modello di guida che imita da vicino quanto visto in Dirt Rally 2.0. Già queste due variabili basterebbero a regalare il miglior gioco di rally negli ultimi anni, ma questo titolo offre anche una Carriera piuttosto ricca di eventi oltre alle tappe principali e i Momenti, il miglior contenuto di tutta l'offerta. Tra le novità vi è anche un cambio di motore grafico che migliora la resa visiva pur senza eccellere a livello tecnico. Ci sono alcune incertezze a livello di ottimizzazione e alcune collisioni sono piuttosto esagerate per un gioco che non offre rewind, ma solo la possibilità di riavviare cinque volte la gara. Nonostante ciò, EA Sports WRC è senza dubbio una solida ripartenza per la serie su cui basare i prossimi titoli sotto l'etichetta Electronic Arts.

Moins fun que la Maison du Style, moins pédagogique que Jeune Styliste, Fashion Dreamer a tout à envier à ses prédécesseurs en raison d’un contenu bien trop pauvre et d’un fun ultra limité. Si proposer inlassablement des tenues à des PNJ et des joueurs sans profiter d'aucun apport scénaristique ou de réels objectifs de jeu vous suffit, l’expérience vous conviendra peut-être. De notre côté, on retient surtout un jeu d'habillage sans grand effort et surtout extrêmement répétitif. Bref, clairement l'une des pires exclus Nintendo Switch de l'année.

WarioWare: Move It! è l'ennesimo capitolo imperdibile della saga, sia per i fan di lungo corso, sia per tutti coloro che sono alla ricerca di un party game frenetico, originale, bizzarro al punto giusto. Già in single player la produzione Nintendo assicura una buona dose di varietà grazie al notevole numero di pose e minigiochi proposti, ma è ovviamente in multiplayer che esce fuori tutta l'essenza del gioco. Con gli amici giusti, darete vita a numerose serate divertenti e demenziali. I più navigati noteranno il ripetersi di certi minigiochi e movimenti da compiere con il Joy-Con, ma si tratta di fugaci déjà-vu che non intaccano più del dovuto le qualità di un gioco che presenta qualche lieve problema solo con certe prove. Se state cercando il gioco ideale in vista delle festività natalizie, da proporre ad amici e parenti, la vostra ricerca può considerarsi conclusa.

RoboCop: Rogue City est une excellente surprise qui ravira à coup sûr ceux qui ont aimé l'univers entamé par Paul Verhoeven à la fin des années 80. On y retrouve toute l'ambiance de l'époque, dans un FPS qui offre un véritable sentiment de puissance, tout en reproduisant une violence volontairement excessive. L'adaptation des aventures du super-flic de Détroit est sans aucun doute le meilleur jeu de Teyon à ce jour, notamment grâce à son gameplay maitrisé, mais aussi par la qualité de sa réalisation, à quelques défauts près.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is, hands down, the best entry in the series, and one of the best remakes ever made. With the excellent combat reworking, massive slew of quality of life improvements and impressive 2D-HD visuals that make the game's simple yet engaging story and charming characters even more enjoyable, Gemdrops has set a very high bar for classic JRPGs remakes that will be very difficult to top.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R marque non seulement le retour triomphal d’un grand JRPG sur les consoles modernes, mais s’impose également comme une référence en matière de remake. Square Enix a investi les ressources nécessaires pour le sublimer et le rendre incontournable aujourd’hui, tout en préservant son charme rétro. Le titre demeure robuste dans ses mécaniques de jeu et conforte sa position de meilleur opus de la série. On espère que ce renouveau permettra à Tri-Ace de faire revenir la licence aux côtés des plus grands après un Star Ocean The Divine Force moyen, mais encourageant.
