Demeo is a fantastic dungeon-crawler, and a perfect addition to the PSVR2 library. Demonstrating a visual clarity not seen on any other platform, the PlayStation VR2 version is the best possible platform. This is an easy recommendation and a must-have for any PSVR2 owner.

Pistol Whip oramai è un classico della VR. Sul primo PlayStation VR non ha potuto splendere a dovere, ma su Quest è da tempo un'istituzione. La versione PlayStation VR2 è di gran lunga la più bella da vedere, la più confortevole per gli occhi, con l'unico neo di avere un cavo a cui prestare attenzione. Qualunque visore scegliate, con Pistol Whip andrete sempre sul sicuro.

Un juego de plataformas fantástico con el sello de calidad de Nintendo que ahora es aún más completo y entretenido gracias a la incorporación de los minijuegos y el epílogo. Su precio de lanzamiento es un inconveniente, así que quizás prefiráis esperar un poco antes de "tragároslo".

Essendo estremamente vicina al concept originale, che quantomeno in Giappone era stato pensato per la sfortunata PlayStation Vita, la natura ibrida di Nintendo Switch ha restituito al prodotto una portabilità che tiene lontana la noia e ben si adatta alle sue meccaniche da Pet Simulator. Tra l’altro, giacché la difficoltà “normale” proposta dalla versione originale era sbilanciata, a questo giro lo sviluppatore B.B. Studio ha introdotto un nuovo livello di sfida che strizza l’occhio a chiunque non sia particolarmente avvezzo alle ripetitive meccaniche della serie World. Se a questo aggiungiamo la possibilità di correre, nel complesso Digimon World: Next Order appare più godibile che mai. Peccato soltanto per la decisione di Bandai Namco, a nostro avviso ingiustificabile, di proporre il titolo a 60 euro: un biglietto di ingresso davvero esagerato per un prodotto che circola già dal 2016 e che dal punto di vista grafico non ha ricevuto il benché minimo ritocco.

Le grand retour de Company of Heroes est réussi mais n'est pas aussi grandiose que ce que l'on avait espéré. La prometteuse campagne solo est en fait un pétard mouillé sans aucun challenge et globalement la partie graphique est un échec avec un jeu qui manque cruellement de définition. Heureusement la coopération et le multijoueur viennent faire oublier les défauts et on retrouve très vite le coté jouissif d'une bonne vieille bataille en temps réel.

While its half-baked gunplay should probably have remained holstered, Like a Dragon: Ishin!’s stylish sword fighting and over-the-top Trooper card attacks successfully pair the Yakuza series’ brand of hysterical action with the historical fiction of its 19th century Japan setting. Unfortunately, its step back in time also presents a slight step down in quality for its substories and side activities, which have each been eclipsed in entertainment value by the other Yakuza and Judgment games in the years since Ishin’s original Japanese release, and the blander areas of its low-tech environment can’t quite compete with the flashy charms of Kamurocho when it comes to exploration. Even so, its high stakes story had me hooked throughout, and it was fascinating to get an insight into a period of Japanese history I knew very little about previously, albeit through a heavily fictionalized lens. No matter which way you slice it, Like a Dragon: Ishin! is an enjoyable and interesting spin-off from the Yakuza series, but not an essential one.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! riprende un gioco di quasi dieci anni fa e lo porta ai giorni nostri in una veste grafica non proprio esaltante a livello di restyling e con alcune “rughe” strutturali e di gameplay che non vanno però intesi come limiti insormontabili. Anche perché non divertirsi in un gioco simile è quasi impossibile tra combattimenti solidi e vari, tonnellate di cose da fare, mini-giochi, dungeon da svuotare, missioni secondarie e un’ambientazione storica che non farà sussultare il cuore di tutti ma che, grazie anche a una trama ben scritta, è decisamente una boccata d’aria fresca rispetto agli altri capitoli della serie. Aggiungete una longevità potenzialmente spropositata, cut-scene spesso magistrali e un doppiaggio impeccabile e avrete un gioco di tutto rispetto che avrebbe però potuto beneficiare di un restyling più incisivo.

Exactly what fans of the series have come to expect, whilst still providing one or two interesting deviations in gameplay along the way, Like A Dragon: Ishin! fuses familiar traits with a delightfully-versatile combat system to great effect. Those worried that a game both spin-off in nature and far-flung from the series’ present day roots would feel too isolated should take comfort from the fact this year’s remake of a pre-0 entrant remains quintessentially Yakuza in all the right ways. And while the take on style-switching, combo-chasing combat this time round is admittedly imperfect and far from the most fluid system to engage with, some occasional scuffs and rough edges aren’t enough to deter Like A Dragon: Ishin! from coming away as one more worthwhile and thoroughly-entertaining spin-off in the Yakuza series.
