Tante volte ci è capitato di sentire parlare di Pokémon come di un gioco per bambini, un RPG di serie B. Niente di più falso. Chiunque abbia speso almeno dieci ore su una qualsiasi iterazione di Pokémon potrà confermarvi la bontà e la profondità di uno degli RPG più vari e longevi in commercio, il cui pregio, sopratutto, è quello di diventare una vera droga. Il suo difetto? Continuare a riciclarsi. HeartGold e SoulSilver sono una vera e propria contraddizione: rappresentano la migliore edizione della serie ma contemporaneamente non offrono nè ai vecchi fan nè ai novelli giocatori qualcosa di veramente nuovo, a parte una simpatica periferica. Per chi ama i pokémon e non ha mai esplorato la regione di Johto, sono un acquisto davvero obbligato. Per tutti gli altri... beh, dipende. Li volete riacchiappare tutti?

Only DSi owners should consider upgrading to Korg DS-10 Plus. That said, for that crowd this is definitely a superior product to the original DS-10. Dual Mode instantly doubles your sonic possibilities. There are still the same interface issues, though, like the inability to work with more than 16 sequences, create sequences longer than a measure, or play chords. Korg DS-10 is great for making repetitive electronica. If that's what you're looking to do, you won't be disappointed.

Calling is absolutely worthless. The acting is terrible, it controls poorly, and it's chock full of dumb cliches. It’s the videogame equivalent of the more recent Asian horror remakes. You could not find a less scary survival horror game on the Wii.

Runaway 3 conclude degnamente la trilogia dedicata a una delle avventure grafiche più amate degli ultimi tempi, riprendendosi dall'esperienza di un secondo capitolo che in definitiva rimane quello più sottotono dei tre. Le scelte operate dai chicos di Péndulo Studios si dimostrano prevalentemente indovinate, riuscendo allo stesso tempo a mettere al passo coi tempi una serie nata nel 2001 e a lasciarne intatto il fascino da avventura grafica vecchio stile. Non si scoraggi chi non ha avuto modo di provare i primi due Runaway, visto che la trama è stata studiata per essere vissuta anche come singola storia, anche se per apprezzare tutto aver giocato i capitoli precedenti è d'obbligo. Concludendo, Runaway 3 è un ottimo investimento per chi è ancora alla ricerca di un'avventura grafica di quelle tanto amate, in un genere purtroppo non più popolato come una volta.

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake es la versión portátil del entretenido y alocado juego de princesas y caballeros de juguete que llegaron a PlayStation 3 hace unos meses. Esta versión, salvando las distancias técnicas, incluye novedades jugables que justifican su existencia, sobre todo por su portabilidad. Un modo para un jugador algo flojo por la escasa IA pero que se apoya en un multijugador tan potente como frenético. Un cuento atractivo para todas las edades y exigencias.

That's actually something I wanted to make sure I touched on. OCD superfreaks are going to go crazy trying to figure out the "right" way to talk to everyone the first time. It's impossible. Just go with it; often a "wrong" response offers clues on how to talk to someone later anyway, and really the game is so rife with chances to do stuff that you'll be retrying for years. Throw in the fact that the game often gives you a rather brief window to just explore the city (or carry out a task for someone) and you'll never see everything your first time through. That's a good thing, because (and I know I've said this before) after a decade on the market, the PlayStation 2 is finally getting its swan song and the Wii is getting a fantastic RPG to bulk up its library. The release calendar on the PS2 is a ghost town, and for many, this may be the system's final bow. Fitting, then, that it's something you could easily play over and over again for a few more years. Hopefully by then, we'll be lucky enough to get a follow-up here on the Wii, because this really is an experience you won't get from any other game. It's also one that shouldn't be missed.

After botching the first game, Eidos is back to prove that they can make a worthwhile open-world sandbox game. The good news is that Just Cause 2 is an incredibly massive action game that I have no problem recommending. Unfortunately, it's marred by some strange control decisions, bad mission design and some of the most inconsistent voice acting I've heard in years. And even with those problems, I found myself falling in love with this over-the-top action game!

Story wise it's a great idea, a fantastic idea in fact, but the implementation of the idea has fallen foul of bad graphics, bad level design and, quite possibly, some of the worst gameplay in an FPS in the last 5 years. When you consider the leaps and bounds of games like Far cry, Doom 4 and Fallout 3 this game falls a long way short of being a must own title. Much like Marlon Brando in "On the Waterfront", this game could have been a contender, but is actually a Bum

Metro 2033 is a smart and gritty game that relies more on its atmosphere and story than it does its gameplay. I consider that fact to be a gamble that ultimately paid off in the end. Gamers who understand and approach the game with that knowledge are in for a treat. Those expecting a non-stop bullet fest are going to be sadly disappointing. There is a lot to criticize here gameplay wise, but there is a ton more to love than just that, particularly in the incredible story telling within the title. In the end, Metro 2033 provides a solid package that I think a lot of gamers will enjoy if they give it a chance…

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Portable is a respectable port of the original BlazBlue. All the crazy action that players might have experienced on the PS3 or 360 is recreated on Sony’s handheld, though the dramatic sacrifices made to the game’s visuals, sound and online functionality are disappointing. Still, I love the crazy character designs and fantastic gameplay mechanics, despite those sacrifices. BlazBlue Portable is an impressive offering on its own, but gamers should keep in mind that the original PS3 version is superior, and the second BlazBlue title, Continuum Shift, has been confirmed for a U.S. launch. With that in mind, I'd suggest that prospective buyers hold off and purchase Continuum Shift when it comes to retail. But if you'd rather have a portable version of the original, BlazBlue PSP works well.

There’s a reason why there’s only twelve people currently on the leaderboards for NBA Unrivaled and that is that this is one of the worst PSN games released in recent memory. There’s no way that any one should pay ten dollars for it and the fact that twelve people already have makes me question the sanity of the world around me. I can’t imagine any basketball fan who would want to take the plunge into NBA Unrivaled, I don’t care what type of gaming experience you’re looking for. Avoid this one at all costs. You’ve been warned.
