Now when I normally review a game I never look at anyone else’s reviews until I have finished mine. This is so I don’t steal any good ideas or base my opinions on what someone else has said about this game. Unfortunately, when it came to reviewing Sonic Unleashed made by SEGA, it was hard not to see the bashing this game off some of the bigger names.

Au final, A Vampyre Story est un jeu plutôt moyen. D'un côté, les bases du genre sont correctement maîtrisées. De l'autre, l'absence de localisation française et l'overdose d'aller-retour handicapent le gameplay. Bien sûr, si vous êtes un inconditionnel, vous allez être ravi d'avoir un nouveau challenge à relever. Mais si ce n'est pas le cas, ce premier chapitre des aventures de Mona et Froderick n'est pas le titre idéal pour découvrir les délices du point & click...

Facebreaker KO Party rappresenta una gradita sorpresa nell’ambito dei titoli sportivi di stampo arcade su Nintendo Wii. Un sistema di controllo ben calibrato ed un gameplay abbastanza profondo lo rendono una scelta appetibile per chi vuole divertirsi a suon di scazzottate, meglio ancora se in compagnia. La modalità in singolo è di difficoltà elevata, soprattutto per la velocità del gioco, ma la pratica rende (quasi) perfetti. Ed un plauso ulteriore i ragazzi di EA Freestyle lo meritano per la cura riposta nel comparto tecnico: bravi, e speriamo che KO Party serva d'esempio ad altri sviluppatori.

It's great to see original intellectual properties try things a little differently, something that could be said of Liquid Entertainment's Rise of the Argonauts. With a storyline and characters rooted firmly in Greek mythology, there's an element for those who know or admire the Classics to enjoy. The problem is how the game's put together – so much has been stripped from what we traditionally think of as an RPG and an action game that the result feels like an awkward, neutered hybrid bloated by hours and hours of static dialogue sequences. Add a sloppy combat system in which the most basic moves serve you well all game long and some serious framerate issues, and the result is a frustratingly limited product that, even as it weaves an interesting tale of deceit and betrayal, fails to rise above the compromises made for its hybrid design.

Most PC gamers will find the experience too dumbed down to warrant investigation. On console EndWar is good. On PC it's in over its head.

Ambitieux et souvent généreux, Rise of the Argonauts propose de se plonger dans une formidable épopée qu'il est difficile de quitter une fois débutée. Cette conclusion pourra d'ailleurs sembler étrange compte tenu de nombreux bugs graphiques, des ralentissements et du système de jeu incomplet. Pour autant, Rise of the Argonauts provoque bel et bien une sorte d'hypnose chez le joueur, de celle qui nous fait accumuler tant d'heures de jeu au détriment de notre vie sociale. Etonnant donc car le titre de Liquid Entertainment n'est pas le jeu de cette fin d'année mais réussit malgré tout son office lorsqu'il s'agit de maintenir toute notre attention.

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People has been consistently entertaining, and "8-bit is Enough" is a more than fitting sendoff. This episode is truly bizarre, but still very funny. Both Telltale and Homestar creators the Chapman brothers have really taken the time to craft the games that Homestar fans want to play. Even if you're not a fan, if you enjoy retro gaming you'll probably be amused by all the 8-bit gags here. It's a little disappointing knowing there isn't a new Strong Bad episode waiting for us next month, but we're happy to have had the chance to try and handle his style.

GTI club plus è un prodotto dedicato soprattutto agli appassionati dell’originale, che potranno finalmente sfidarsi online grazie ad un ottimo comparto multiplayer (netcode solidissimo e spassosa nuova modalità “passa la bomba”) ed al supporto delle classifiche mondiali sui tempi. Per tutti gli altri può rappresentare un piacevole passatempo da assaporare - senza eccedere - in compagnia dei propri amici tra una partita e l’altra con giochi ben più impegnativi. Dotato di un aspetto curato, uno stile inconfondibile ed una giocabilità semplice ed intuitiva il titolo Sumo digital per 12,99 Euro avrebbe potuto offrire almeno una seconda ed inedita ambientazione per le nostre scorribande su quattro ruote, senza snaturare lo spirito dell’originale ma ampliandone la fruibilità in un contesto ben diverso dal “mordi e fuggi” da sala giochi di 15 anni fa. Sebbene siano previsti dei download content futuri le possibilità che essi siano gratuiti sono ben remote (sperare non costa nulla), l’acquisto dunque è consigliato ai nostalgici e a chi desidera un prodotto semplice ed immediato da giocare in compagnia dei propri amici.

Shmups don't come along every day, so it's nice to see a solid one make its way to the PSN where it can be enjoyed by PS3 owners. Soldner-X will challenge you with a large number of enemies and onscreen threats, but the significant number of power ups, coupled with deep gameplay thanks to the weapon and chain system will keep you coming back for more, especially when you start unlocking extras. If you're a shooter fan, you should definitely check this one out.

Vorsicht, Animal Crossing ist einer der schlimmsten Zeitfresser der Videospielgeschichte! Auch in der aktuelle Wii-Adaption verliert ihr euch schnell in der Bilderbuchidylle der eigenen Traumstadt. Da ein Tag in diesem Spiel echte 24 Stunden besitzt, kommt keine Hektik auf wie in Harvest Moon oder Viva Pinata – stattdessen steht einfach nur Entspannung auf dem Programm. Natürlich dürft ihr euch auch als fleißiger Obstbauer oder Spekulant versuchen. Im Grunde geht es einfach nur darum, sich sein eigenes Städchen so hübsch wie möglich einzurichten und Freundschaften zu schließen. Trotz der enormen Tiefe wirkt »Let’s go to the City« wie ein Update. Die Figuren und Kulissen sind zwar putzig wie eh und je, aber sie erscheinen mit ihrem Mangel an Details reichlich veraltet. Wenn ihr bereits viele Tage mit den Vorgängern verbracht habt, erwartet euch bis auf den städtischen Marktplatz sowie die gut funktionierende Chat-Möglichkeit auch inhaltlich nicht viel Neues. Der von Nintendo auf der E3 versprochene Hoffnungsträger für Hardcore-Zocker ist »Let’s go to the City« jedenfalls nicht – eher ein weiterer Aufguss eines äußerst unterhaltsamen Spielkonzepts. Mit mehr neuen Freizeitaktivitäten und zeitgemäßer Grafik hätten die Entwickler deutlich frischeren Wind in die Serie bringen können. Falls es euer erster Ausflug ins Animal-Crossing-Universum ist, erwartet euch aber eine äußerst entspannende Urlaubsidylle.

Philosophy students and aspiring monks need to download Enduro Racer straight away in order to have their perspectives on existence informed by its ending sequence's introspective musings, but the rest of we Wii owners can easily get along without it. Its isometric motorcycling gameplay is fair, but it's nothing like the arcade game it's named after and a more robust 8-bit bike racer is already available in the Wii Shop through Excitebike, which has features like a custom course creator that this release lacks. And, in closing, this review is dedicated to all of the "life riders" who have started out on the solitary trip to find their own individual limits. The end.
