Heroes of Mana avrebbe potuto essere un ottimo titolo. Il metodo di controllo è intuitivo e facilissimo da assimilare ed il sistema su cui si basano le caratteristiche delle diverse unità è semplice ma perfettamente bilanciato. Purtroppo il sistema di spostamento delle truppe rigido e per nulla dinamico e la pessima intelligenza artificiale rovinano continuamente l’esperienza di gioco, lasciando il sempre più frustrato giocatore a fare i conti con soldati che al minimo intralcio intraprendono percorsi alternativi esagerati o che restano impalati di fronte al nemico che attacca. Il titolo SquarEnix può offrire comunque qualche ora di divertimento, ma solo a quei pochi che avranno la pazienza di abituarsi, per quanto assurdo possa sembrare, a pensare strategicamente anche al modo in cui far spostare le unità cercando di evitare che si avviino verso percorsi impensabili. Seppure si tratti di una buona occasione mancata, questo gioco costituisce la dimostrazione che gli strategici in tempo reale su DS possono funzionare. Non resta che aspettare che qualche altro sviluppatore proponga un nuovo titolo capace di riuscire anche la dove Heroes of Mana ha toppato malamente.

Ghouls 'N Ghosts is the second game in Capcom's Arthur series, placing it chronologically between the original Ghosts 'N Goblins (which came to the NES) and Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts (for the SNES). And its gameplay is something of a balance betweens those two titles as well – it's enhanced in feel and depth over the NES original, but it isn't quite as robust or as extreme a challenge as the SNES game to come after. Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts, appropriately enough, is already available on the Virtual Console as well, for the same asking price of 800 Wii Points. And given a forced choice between just the two, we'd recommend Super over this version. But this Genesis GNG is perfectly solid on its own, and a great conversion of a fun arcade sequel. Give it a download to re-experience one of the most impressive launch titles the Genesis had to offer, now almost 20 years ago.

C'est évident, la jouabilité pénalise grandement le titre. Trop brouillon, Death Jr and the Science Fair of Doom laisse le joueur se dépatouiller avec un gameplay plombé par une jouabilité très approximative. Ce n'est pas encore cet épisode qui permettra au personnage de Konami de s'imposer malgré son univers si particulier et la réalisation graphique sympathique de cette version DS.

Doté de quelques bonnes idées, Garfield Lasagna World Tour occupera les jeunes pendant un petit moment mais qui est loin d'être inoubliable. Un titre correct donc, sans plus, qui à défaut de nous en mettre plein les yeux permet de passer un moment assez agréable.

Les ingrédients de base sont bons : une histoire intéressante, une réalisation à la hauteur. La recette fonctionne bien, on obtient un bon jeu. Mais quelques problèmes mineurs viennent légèrement gâter la saveur finale. Reprobates : Aux Portes de la Mort loupe donc de peu le statut de grand jeu d'aventure pour se fondre dans la masse des bons petits point & click. La prochaine fois peut-être ?

Stranglehold utilise parfaitement la grammaire cinématographique de John Woo et offre aux fans du réalisateur un pendant vidéoludique à ses plus belles oeuvres. Le jeu est beau, jouissif et se laisse savourer de bout en bout. Néanmoins, des problèmes d'IA, de durée de vie et de construction limitent le titre de Midway au rang de "simple" très bon jeu malgré son statut d'élégant défouloir. Pourtant, on en viendrait déjà à croiser les guns pour profiter d'une éventuelle suite tant le titre ici présent semble préfigurer un avenir radieux pour le jeu d'action nouvelle génération.
