A tragically outdated open world adventure that almost has more in common with Goat Simulator than Grand Theft Auto, despite some moderately entertaining mechanics.

It’s a below average open world game that’s stuffed to bursting with bugs, and the best thing we can say about it is that making our Tobias Fünke-inspired character crouch over and do the wanker gesture while he walked down the street made us laugh. Probably not quite worth the price of admission.

Technical issues notwithstanding, Saints Row is not without its shortcomings, but it succeeds more often than it doesn’t. Even with the release date pushed back it still doesn’t feel finalized. The tech issues can hopefully be ironed out in a patch or two, but the characters could have also benefitted from further development and being more fleshed out. Santo Ileso is a great open sandbox to explore, but it seems like a greater emphasis was placed on repetitive criminal venture activities and less on the more exciting story missions. Still, what Saints Row does well is it does very well with memorable missions after the Saints have started to establish themselves. The banter between characters is generally entertaining and a lot of the humor is derived from this series never taking itself too seriously. There’s a lot of potential with this reboot and new cast of characters, but it doesn’t seem like it was fully realized in this title, making it a game that’s fun for Saints Row fans, but isn’t the spectacular reboot we were hoping for.

The problem with the new Saints Row is not just that the characters are boring, or that the combat is by-the-numbers and benumbed by unempowering perks, but that the brief snatches of fun are nothing new, and are done better in other games.

As a reboot that is all about capturing the series’ spark all over again, it is immediately recognisable. Building the Saints from the ground up retreads gameplay and story that fans have experienced before. However, the bombastic spirit of the earlier generations’ stripped-back open-world antics is woefully undermined by a plague of bugs and an overwhelming sense of deja-vu. The older Saints titles have more arsenal, activities, and humour than this half-baked reboot.

Malgré un gameplay riche et maîtrisé vous faisant affronter un large bestiaire d'assaillants, le jeu peine à satisfaire totalement. La faute à des bugs gênants, à certaines animations parfois en deçà et à un rythme pas toujours maîtrisé.

I problemi principali di Midnight Fight Express sono essenzialmente due, ossia che la bontà del sistema di gioco finisce per essere penalizzata da alcune scelte di design, che rovinano alcuni momenti dell'esperienza, e che il sistema di combattimento in alcuni frangenti non sembra reggere le ambizioni del titolo. Non rimpiangiamo di essere arrivati alla fine, ma non possiamo dire di avere condiviso chissà quale esperienza sconvolgente con Babyface e il suo amico drone, anche a causa di una storia non proprio scritta benissimo. Certo, il sangue c'è, molte frattaglie della cultura undeground ci sono, ma alla fine sembra davvero di trovarsi di fronte a un miscuglio insapore, che lascia un po' il tempo che trova.

Fashion Police Squad is an incredibly silly shooter hearkening back to the original DOOM in its design, while also taking into account some more modern sensibilities. While the combat does suffer from a lack of choice, the tight platforming and hilarious premise does make up for it somewhat.
