Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire ci ha lasciato con un pò di amaro in bocca, dobbiamo ammetterlo. Da un lato, la voglia di omaggiare i grandi classici degli RPG è palpabile, con omaggi ed ispirazioni che i fan del genere sapranno apprezzare a corredo di un prodotto con diverse idee intriganti. Dall'altro lato, tuttavia, la realizzazione tecnica claudicante, i problemi di ritmo ed un combat system che presta il fianco (anzi, la fusoliera) a troppe critiche, rendono l'esperienza a tratti eccessivamente snervante. Un prodotto che probabilmente aveva bisogno di un pò di tempo extra per essere migliorato e che sfortunatamente, allo stato attuale, può essere consigliato solo allo zoccolo più duro di nostalgici ed appassionati... complice anche la tremenda concorrenza diretta di ottobre. We can forgive a game for being too ambitious for its own good, trying something bold, and possibly falling short. The trouble with Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire is that it tries to deliver something we’ve seen before and still manages to fail at it. Even if you stripped out every technical issue, improved the camera, and polished up the visuals, you would still be left with a painfully average gaming experience. Sky Oceans doesn’t even crash and burn – it fails to leave the runway.

Last Time I Saw You is a narrative adventure set in 1980s Japan, following 12-year-old Ayumi as he navigates relationships, a cursed town, and a mysterious girl who changes his life. The game blends exploration, puzzles, and choices, while the heartfelt story, gorgeous visuals, and emotional depth make it a standout experience. Though the pacing can be slow at times, the compelling narrative and unique setting keep players engaged, offering a nostalgic and relatable journey through the trials of youth.

Remettre au goût du jour une légende du point and click aurait pu inciter son développeur à se reposer sur les qualités d’origine du titre et laisser opérer la magie. Il n’en est rien pour Les Chevaliers de Baphomet - L'ombre des templiers Reforged. Cette aventure merveilleuse profite ici d’un formidable travail de refonte graphique qui fait honneur aux qualités du matériau d’origine. A ce stade il aurait suffi de dépoussiérer aussi les doublages pour offrir au monde un remake absolument parfait. On va tout de même se contenter de cette quasi-perfection et exhorter les joueurs non-allergiques au genre à (re)découvrir ce point and click enchanteur.

The reimagined Silent Hill 2 is an experience that truly understands and honors the original game. It deconstructs and rebuilds the experience from the ground up, creating something that feels familiar yet also like a whole new game. It takes inspiration from the classic 2001 original and incorporates the many advancements made since its release. Influences from games like Condemned, RE, Dead Space, The Evil Within, Alan Wake 2, and even later Silent Hill games are collected and honed to make something very fresh and extremely polished. It may not be pushing the genre forward, but Silent Hill 2 (2024) feels like the peak of what the current horror remake movement of the last five years can accomplish. It’s an experience I confidently recommend to anyone looking for a shining example of what the horror genre has to offer.

Bloober necesitaba mantener y adaptar todo lo que hacía genial al juego de 2001: su atmósfera, personajes, historia... Han hecho todo eso y han añadido sus propios ingredientes para presentarnos una experiencia completa, emotiva y apasionante. No es perfecto en lo técnico, pero Silent Hill 2 tiene todo lo necesario para destacar en la niebla.

Vessel of Hatred regala ai fan di Diablo una nuova classe con cui giocare, una regione inedita con numerosi contenuti da affrontare e una storia che riparte dai presupposti molto interessanti con cui ci eravamo lasciati al termine della scorsa avventura, ma senza purtroppo riuscire a fornire un epilogo pienamente soddisfacente. Lo spiritista è comunque una buona aggiunta al roster e fa piacere potersi avventurare per Sanctuarium insieme a nuovi aiutanti, anche se su altri fronti si poteva probabilmente fare qualcosa di più: qualche novità sui layout dei dungeon per garantire una maggiore varietà sarebbe stata gradita, per esempio, mentre il sistema di difficoltà rivisitato mi ha lasciato con qualche dubbio. In ogni caso, siamo di fronte a un'espansione che dovrebbe fare la felicità di tutti quei giocatori che hanno apprezzato Diablo IV e non vedono l'ora di tornare a massacrare demoni; gli altri possono invece controllare i numerosi cambiamenti introdotti dalla versione 2.0 per valutare se la direzione intrapresa da Blizzard con le ultime patch è di loro gradimento.

Diablo IV Vessel of Hatred no logra alcanzar la calidad de anteriores expansiones de la saga por su cambio de planteamiento en cuanto a la historia y modelo de negocio. No obstante, sí que ofrece los suficientes alicientes como para tentar a los mayores fans de Santuario.

Bloober Team has faithfully and respectfully recreated one of the survival horror genre’s all-time greats, modernising Silent Hill 2 in all the right ways. So much of what made the Konami classic a masterpiece in 2001 remains in this PS5 remake 23 years later, with the same unforgettable story, satisfying exploration, and weighty combat. There were concerns in the lead-up to release, but Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself: a spectacular experience that once again represents survival horror at its best.

Undisputed es un buen juego de boxeo, a caballo entre lo arcade y la simulación, a pesar de quedarse algo corto a nivel técnico. Si te gusta el género, no te decepcionará.

Si l’on trouvera à redire sur son utilisation abusive d’adversaires nous sautant dessus par surprise, et qu’il nous a par ailleurs semblé un peu trop long pour son bien, il est néanmoins indéniable que Silent Hill 2 Remake est un grand jeu. Survival Horror résolument old school, le titre de la Bloober Team n’oublie pas d’intégrer des éléments modernes pour un confort certain. À côté de cela, il est absolument divin sur le plan visuel et sonore, tout en demeurant extrêmement fidèle au titre original, et en intégrant quelques bonnes idées de Game Design. Quant à son histoire singulière, elle n’a jamais été aussi bien narrée. Malgré ses petites imperfections, ce remake redonne confiance en l’avenir d’une série qu’on a bien failli croire disparue.
