Ravenswatch è un roguelike di qualità, tanto godibile da giocare da soli, quanto sfidante da assaporare in cooperativa, quando il matchmaking non fa le bizze. Peccato per un assortimento di situazioni non eccezionale, che gli impedisce di entrare nell'olimpo del genere, ma non fatevelo sfuggire nel caso siate ghiotti del genere.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom should be the new standard for top-down Zelda going forward. Rather than abandoning the classic formula, Zelda has shown that the old and the new can come together and produce wonderful results that reward experimentation and reinforce the joy of play. This is easily in contention with A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds as one of the best top-down adventures in the series, and we hope we don’t need to wait another 35 years for Zelda to take a starring role again.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom dimostra in scioltezza che un approccio classico alla serie è ancora possibile, a patto di non negarle del tutto le evoluzioni degli ultimi anni; le nuove meccaniche, oltre a risultare profondamente ingegnose e divertenti, poco alla volta contribuiscono a "sabotare" la struttura e gli ambienti da Zelda 2D arrivando quasi a scioglierli, per poi ricavarne qualcosa di inedito. A livello artistico, poi, siamo davvero sull’eccellenza, anche se rimango convinto che la libertà concessa al giocatore sia contestualmente un po’ troppa.

Non fatevi ingannare dalle sue dimensioni, narrative ed estetiche: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom è un grandissimo Zelda. Grezzo e Nintendo mettono la firma su quelle che potrebbero essere facilmente le fondamenta su cui costruire il futuro della saga. Echoes of Wisdom si basa sui classici The Legend of Zelda, ma è tutto meno che nostalgico in termini di game design. A fronte di alcuni problemi strutturali facilmente risolvibili in futuro, tra esplorazione narrativa e gestione delle repliche, c’è un mondo bello da vedere e ascoltare, galvanizzante da vivere pad alla mano, con uno sviluppo dei contenuti degno di una concezione di open world che guarda al futuro. La prima avventura in solitaria della Principessa Zelda è l'atto d'esordio di una nuova storia che non vediamo l’ora di ascoltare.

La licence Zelda fait un retour magique sur Nintendo Switch avec un titre qui apporte un vent de fraîcheur bienvenu. Nous donnant l’occasion inédite d’incarner la Princesse en personne, Echoes of Wisdom porte l’héritage de toute une licence à laquelle elle apporte son lot de (petites) nouveautés. Grezzo est ainsi parvenu à associer la sensation de l’exploration des donjons qui manquaient à de nombreux fans, et cela au travers d’un gameplay directement inspiré par Tears of the Kingdom. Ainsi, le jeu réussit à parler aux fans d’hier et d’aujourd’hui, pour une expérience qui prouve que même après quasiment 40 ans, les licences historiques de Nintendo savent se renouveler et, surtout, n’hésitent pas à oser. Après un tel opus, on ne peut que demander encore plus d’ambition pour les futurs Zelda 2D.

La légende de Zelda parvient une nouvelle fois à se renouveler avec brio, grâce à un concept fort exécuté avec soin. On pourra toujours pester contre l'interface d'un autre âge ou ses limitations techniques qui hachent la progression à intervalles réguliers, mais la puissance des Échos et la liberté laissée aux joueurs dans la résolution des énigmes balaient ces menus défauts d'un revers de main. Un très bon jeu, loin d'être parfait, mais que l'on vous recommande tout de même fortement.

Lo que tras Tears of the Kingdom bien podría parecer un paso atrás, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom lo convierte en un salto hacia adelante pero en otra dirección. Su reformulación del estilo clásico de la franquicia, que mantiene mazmorras y jefes finales esperando a ser superados, se convierte aquí en un juguete del que, gracias a las copias de todo tipo de objetos y enemigos que puede llegar a atesorar Zelda, nunca te cansas. Además, ofrece un giro hacia la libertad que te permite alcanzar casi todo el mapeado a base de explorar y reinventar la forma en la que utilizas las copias, lo que hace que sea una aventura mucho menos encorsetada y fresca en la que a menudo da gusto perderse por el mero hecho de hacerlo. Si este es el giro hacia el doble AA que prometía Nintendo, no veo ninguna razón para cuestionar su futuro. Ojalá muchos más juegos tan frescos, divertidos y entrañables como este.

Shadows of Doubt è un titolo investigativo unico nel suo genere che si distingue per la profondità del sistema di indagini, ma anche per un approccio che può risultare fin troppo libero per chi è abituato a una struttura di gioco più lineare e guidata. Nonostante poi qualche difetto nella gestione delle risorse e un'interfaccia a volte macchinosa, il gioco offre un'esperienza noir coinvolgente ed estremamente longeva, nonché un mix di generi (si veda la componente da life-sim) di fronte al quale è difficile restare indifferenti.

Ravenswatch non rivoluziona il genere roguelike, ma lo arricchisce con una narrativa dark-fantasy e un gameplay ben congegnato. È un’esperienza che premia la cooperazione, la creatività e la voglia di scoprire ogni sfaccettatura dei suoi personaggi. Ha anche il merito di saper parlare, e bene, tanto agli amanti del genere, quanto ai neofiti che vogliono avvicinarsi al mondo dei roguelike e sono in cerca di un punto di partenza accessibile ma ben costruito.
