On l'aurait davantage imaginé en free-to-play, ce Quidditch Champions. Plutôt fidèle à l'univers en termes de direction artistique, le jeu a au moins le mérite de repenser correctement les règles du sport sur balais pour les rendre bien plus justes à l'écran. En revanche, les postes sont cruellement inégaux, les matchs franchement chaotiques et le jeu s'essouffle au bout de quelques heures à peine. Unbroken Studios a encore besoin d'opérer de nombreux ajustements pour faire de son expérience un incontournable du Quidditch.

The Casting of Frank Stone è un gioco che non convince per trama, messa in scena e gameplay fin troppo risicato persino per un'avventura narrativa. Nonostante le strizzate d'occhio all'universo di Dead by Daylight siano apprezzabili, la sensazione è che siano troppo imperanti e il team abbia dedicato tutti gli sforzi solo a questo aspetto: il risultato è un'esperienza troppo confusa nell'intreccio, a causa del mix di multiverso e narrazione ramificata, priva della tensione che bene o male ha caratterizzato i titoli passati nonché di un cast verso il quale poter provare più di una blanda sopportazione.

The Casting of Frank Stone is yet another hit from Supermassive Games, delivering an engaging horror story deeply rooted into the lore of Dead of Daylight equally enjoyable by fans of the original game and those with no knowledge of the multiplayer game created by Behaviour Interactive. While its short length and limited gameplay may slightly hinder the experience, the game remains a worthwhile purchase for those who appreciate well-crafted supernatural horror stories.

Que se passe-t-il quand Supermassive Games, studio spécialiste de l’horreur, se plonge dans l’univers du jeu d’horreur Dead by Daylight ? Eh bien… pas grand-chose. The Casting of Frank Stone avait tout du mariage de rêve. Mais, ce jeu narratif se révèle bien trop mou pour captiver, en dépit d’un récit digne du genre. The Casting of Frank Stone se trimballe aussi son lot de défauts rédhibitoires, autant liés à son gameplay bancal qu’à son manque de solidité technique. En l’état, on peut difficilement conseiller ce jeu, qui prouve que Supermassive Games est en train de s’embourber dans un sous-genre essoufflé depuis déjà beaucoup de titres. Pour la future soirée Halloween, on relancera plutôt Until Dawn.

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection ci permette di rivivere due interessanti spin-off che, pur senza stravolgere nulla dell’impostazione tipica della serie, sanno regalare sano intrattenimento per diverse decine di ore, ciascuno grazie a storie intriganti, personaggi ben caratterizzati, investigazioni e confronti verbali appassionanti. La massiccia presenza di dialoghi rischia di appesantire il ritmo dell'avanzamento in alcuni frangenti ma gli appassionati del genere farebbero bene a tenere in considerazione l'idea di vestire i panni del procuratore.

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection è l'occasiona perfetta per rigiocare al primo capitolo che vede coinvolto Miles Edgeworth e provare per la prima volta il secondo, rimasto esclusiva giapponese finora. Ancora una volta siamo di fronte a una semplice ma ben curata revisione, in questo caso maggiormente valorizzata dall'esplorazione in terza persona e le ambientazioni, più gli sprite, che ne conseguono. Sebbene sia possibile utilizzare gli originali in pixel art, il lavoro svolto per le versioni HD è pregevole e merita senza alcun dubbio la propria occasione. L'aspetto più interessante di questa raccolta è proprio la presenza di Edgeworth, che spinge a un approccio e di conseguenza meccaniche diverse rispetto a quelle cui siamo abituati (seppur con le loro variazioni), ma soprattutto pone il tutto al di fuori delle aule di tribunale dando un maggior senso di respiro alle (dis)avventure del procuratore. Non tutti gli aspetti delle indagini filano lisci, ancora parzialmente ostacolati da momenti di poca chiarezza, tuttavia nel complesso si notano i passi avanti in termini di scrittura e scorrevolezza rispetto ai titoli precedenti, persino al netto di qualche momento morto.

Es un notición poder disfrutar de estos spin-off de Miles Edgeworth, que además de ser de calidad, ofrecen un trabajo de remasterización sustancial. La pega, como siempre, es que no hay traducción al castellano, una decisión quizá tomada por las bajas ventas de la trilogía original en España, y que sin embargo solo propicia menores ventas aún. Más allá de esto, Ace Attorney esconde algunos de sus puntos fuertes en estos spin-offs, y los fans no deberían perdérselos.

The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection finally lets fans have every mainline Ace Attorney game on one platform and in a variety of languages. While AAI1 is one of the franchise’s weaker titles, AAI2 is one of its best with a new, excellent translation to English. The new art style may not appeal to everyone, but thankfully you can go back to the original pixel art. With a gallery containing a ton of art and music, this is yet another badge on Capcom’s lapel.

Er is heel veel nieuws in Age of Mythology: Retold, maar waar niet aan geraakt is, is het spelplezier. De game is een erg nostalgische ervaring voor veteranen en een aangename kennismaking voor nieuwe spelers. Wie weet inspireert het zelfs een nieuwe generatie jongeren om mythologische verhalen op te zoeken! Gameplay-gewijs is het nog steeds niet de meest diepgaande RTS, maar er is genoeg te doen en te ontdekken om dit avontuur toch aan te raden.
