Just Cause 4 still has some of the best sandbox action around, but it’s a game where making your own fun is the best part about it. If the developers could help players along in this regard by tuning missions to actually use these tools more frequently it could help this game feel more engaging. As it stands, Just Cause 4 more often than not feels like an average open world third person shooter than it does the explosion filled bonanza that it should be.

Ashen is a quality Soulslike with a nice art style and some great ideas about seamless and anonymous online co-op. The dungeons are memorable, the evolving town is awesome, and the increased focus that quests provide is a nice touch.

Earth Defense Force 5, nonostante sia uscito alla fine del 2018, si mostra come un titolo obsoleto appartenente a una generazione ormai passata da tanto, troppo tempo. La monotonia che grava sul gameplay riesce a rendere il titolo noioso dopo nemmeno un'ora di gioco, per non parlare di una trama per nulla convincente e un comparto tecnico che lascia molto a desiderare. Insomma, abbiamo tra le mani uno dei titoli meno convincenti di questo splendido anno.

Dopo anni ed anni di sviluppo ed una gestazione molto travagliata, il roguelike targato Capybara Games sbarca finalmente su Pc e Xbox One: nonostante qualche stortura, possiamo affermare che ne è valsa pena. Below è un gioco solido sia sul fronte tecnico, grazie alle sue atmosfere pressoché uniche, sia su quello del puro gameplay, merito di un livello di sfida alto e stimolante. Ci sono alcuni elementi che a nostro parere andrebbero ribilanciati, come l’invadenza delle meccaniche survival e qualche dettaglio legato al combat system, ma in ogni caso, qualora siate amanti il genere, questi limiti non vi impediranno di godervelo appieno. Se non avete familiarità con questo tipo di avventure, allora dobbiamo avvertirvi: Below sa essere estremamente punitivo e frustrante. Nel caso in cui abbiate intenzione di imbarcarvi comunque, vi consigliamo di portarvi dietro anche una buona dose di pazienza-in-scatola, perché di certo ne avrete bisogno.
