The Crew 2 isn’t afraid to try some new stuff, but it should have spent a bit more time looking at established racers to avoid making obvious mistakes like having us eye the minimap too often. The random hitbox detection and unforgiving AI can also be a cause for frustration, especially in the longer races. It may be flawed, but there’s a ton of content and the base game is still fun to play , so I’m still recommending this to fans of the genre.

A beautiful, challenging game that is supremely polished in every area. A fantastic blend of tactical combat mixed with metroidvania style progression. Combined with an interesting and very quirky setting makes it a compelling package overall.

Octopath Traveler es un juego digno de la estirpe a la cual hace tributo: obras de carácter legendario como Final Fantasy VI (personalmente mi FF favorito) o Chrono Trigger (en mi opinión el mejor RPG de todos los tiempos y top 2 en mi ranking de videojuegos) aunque sin llegar a la magnificencia de éstos. En días en los que hay gente que llega al absurdo de justificar que sólo aquellos juegos con gráficos hiper realistas merecen costar 60 dólares, Octopath Traveler nos recuerda que el verdadero valor de un videojuego va más allá del despliegue gráfico. El juego no es perfecto, de más está decirlo, pero cuenta con valores suficientes como para destacarse y convertirse en uno de los imprescindibles de una consola que, más temprano que tarde, terminará desplazando a la menos afortunada PS Vita como la nueva reina de los JRPG. Quizá si hubiese resuelto sus incoherencias narrativas estaríamos hablando del mejor título del año hasta el momento junto a God of War, pero aún así se valora la forma en que Square Enix nos dice que los JRPG clásicos están más vivos que nunca. Ya lo había intentado con I am Setsuna y Lost Sphear pero creo que con Octopath Traveler finalmente lo puede hacer como se debe. ¿A quién no recomendaría este juego? Definitivamente a cualquiera que aborrezca los RPG y les parezcan anacrónicos los juegos con estilo artístico de hace más de 20 años. Para el resto, darle una oportunidad a Octopath Traveler es algo que, al menos, debería ir como un pendiente de su agenda.
