The Sequel to the original HELLDIVER game takes it a step further and puts your more closer to the danger and combat. With danger turning into war withing seconds, your only option is to rely on Stratagems, Allies and Democracy.

Foamstars is at odds with itself. Its unexpectedly engaging combat mechanics, fast-paced matches, and cool music draw me in, but trudging through its flat single-player content, concerningly aggressive monetization, and horrendously slow menus has numbered Foamstars’ days on my PS5 hard drive. I also feel like I’ve already seen everything it has to offer, and its announced update plan looks glacially slow for a sink-or-swim multiplayer landscape currently full of great options. Foamstars’ ranked modes and maps may be exciting and nuanced mid-match, but the confounding time-gated queues around them don’t offer much motivation to grind up the ladder, which leaves me with very little reason to surf these bubbly waves no matter how much fun it may be.

Foamstars can be a blast under the right conditions. It’s colorful, fast, fluid, and has a great party atmosphere. It’s also disgustingly over monetized, has terrible voice acting, and a boring single player mode. When you’re in a match with players of a similar skill level playing as your main, it’s a ton of fun. But with only three main modes the fun can run out fairly quickly. Who knows how long Foamstars will last, but even with the negatives it’s still worth giving it a shot.

A Little to the Left has proven to be a great ‘night cap’ game for us these past few days, one to play for half hour before bed to unwind. It’s also been a nice palate cleanser in between other, more action heavy titles. It’s the kind of game that will suit almost anyone, offering up a fun, chill, satisfying experience.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is another great entry into the Warhammer Universe. With tons of different ways to customize your squad cosmetically and with talents, Daemonhunters has the ability to keep you coming back for more.

Intrinsèquement excellent, Lumo est toutefois touché par une drôle de malédiction dans sa version PlayStation 4 : un problème de sauvegarde corrompue rendant l'expérience presque caduque. Dommage car le jeu est vraiment très bon, s'inspirant d'un genre oublié et bénéficiant d'une direction artistique réussie. Plus important encore : il mêle habilement modernité (gestion des continus, exploration, etc.) et codes d'autrefois. Toujours est-il que, pour l'instant, vous devrez faire le jeu d'une traite ou presque, non pas avec la peur des fantômes mais avec celle d'un écran noir s'affichant à chaque nouveau décor. Lumo durant cinq ou six heures (encore faut-il survivre à la difficulté du mode old school), pas facile de pardonner ce bien mauvais sort.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft is an imperfect update but a tremendous package overall, offering a satisfying mix of exploration, puzzle solving and action with enough content to keep you occupied for dozens of hours. While most of the puzzles won’t stall hardcore adventure fans for long, they are nevertheless well-designed and the games encourage exploring to find all the hidden secrets – a formidable challenge for even the experienced gamer. The series looks better than ever with a graphical overhaul, but they’re still clearly old games reskinned rather than brand new AAA games released today. The new control scheme will be embraced by those who found the original mechanics too cumbersome, and yet doing some of the games’ more precise platforming segments may not be as intuitive as before. For longtime series fans, this collection is ultimately singing to the choir – prettier and more flexible, but perhaps without enough significant benefit to make them necessary. But you get three full games and all related expansions in one bundle, with enough options between new and old iterations to cater to any player’s preference. So if you’re missing any games from your collection, or are a fan of the later Tomb Raiders and wondering how it all started, this is an absolute must buy.

Tomb Raider ya tiene el recopilatorio clásico que necesitaba, lejos de los lujos de Anniversary. Este remaster se centra principalmente en mejorar el apartado gráfico respetando siempre la obra original de Core Design, lo que le hace arrastrar errores ya existentes. Un viaje por la nostalgia para los fans de la serie.

Forse uno potrebbe pensare che non valga la pena recuperare a prezzo pieno un’esperienza uscita nel 2004 e destinata al mercato delle console portatili, anche a fronte delle novità e dell’offerta “mariesca” di questo periodo, particolarmente generosa. Io stesso, prima di mettere le mani sul gioco, ero un pochino scettico, ma devo ammettere che Nintendo tanto per cambiare ha lavorato per bene, realizzando un remake intrigante e incredibilmente ricco, capace di regalare ore e ore di gioco tanto agli utenti smaliziati quanto alle nuove leve. Forse, ecco, si sarebbe potuto fare qualcosina di più in termini artistici, ma lato gameplay non c’è davvero da lamentarsi.

The world didn’t real need a Mario Vs. Donkey Kong remake but this is still the absolute best effort Nintendo could’ve made, with tons of new content and the same enjoyable but undemanding puzzles as before.

As the Nintendo Switch winds down, so too do the bigger releases on the system, but there’s a few nuggets of goodness that remain on the release schedule. Mario vs Donkey Kong can be considered one such nugget, a nostalgia trip that will keep the kiddos entertained and the older kiddos occupied for a good while. I enjoyed a chance to rediscover its style, and the modern coat of paint and new modes are welcome additions to an otherwise solid piece of entertainment.
