Developer Quantic Dream continues to solidify their pedigree in creating narrative driven cinematic experiences. Aside from a few story and design stumbles, Detroit: Become Human offers an engaging adventure with great presentation, meaningful choices, and plenty of replay value.

Detroit is the best possible version of itself. Character interactions and decisions feel natural despite the story being filled with artificially intelligent creatures. And perhaps that’s the point: their artificial life becomes just as valuable as natural life. By the end of the game, the lines of what it means to be human are blurred and the player is left with a complete understanding of both sides of the conflict. Humans don’t want to be overtaken by their own creations, but they are still capable of love and understanding towards androids. Androids simply want freedom, but they’re a new race that is still coming to grips with the world. The narrative is filled with pressing real-world issues including xenophobia, automation of the workforce, climate change, social media influence and more. Though it comes off as heavy-handed at times, Detroit tells an endearing story that verges on the profound, diving deep into the nature of humanity itself. It proves that interactivity and focused storytelling aren’t mutually exclusive and that the two can enhance each other given a proper degree of talent behind the scenes.

Detroit: Become Human sigue siendo un juego 100% Quantic Dream, así que tiene todos los manierismos y tics de una obra de David Cage y no logrará disuadir a quienes acusan sus lanzamientos de falta de interacción. Sin embargo, es difícil encontrar algo tan potente en su género como lo que ha logrado esta vez. El videojuego de PS4 es formalmente fascinante y tiene una puesta en escena digna de una película, pero no me parece que descuide en absoluto un argumento repleto de decisiones durísimas que tomar, y que se acerca a temas difíciles con seriedad y buen hacer. A mi juicio, el mejor juego hasta ahora de los creadores de Heavy Rain.

Una gran aventura en la que, por fin, David Cage consigue ofrecer lo que prometía: una historia interesante, múltiples variaciones, un apartado técnico de máxima calidad y que, además, a nosotros nos importe lo que les pasa a sus protagonistas. Puede que tenga alguna pequeña costura inherente al género, pero eso no evita que estemos ante un grandísimo juego.

Avec Detroit: Become Human, le studio français Quantic Dream ne nous aura une nouvelle fois pas déçu. La réalisation et le scénario à rebondissements dignes d’un film hollywoodien sont exacerbés par ce sujet de l’IA qui passionne et questionne. Des questions, philosophiques parfois, auxquelles vous devrez d’ailleurs répondre lors de vos choix. Des prises de décision qui ont de réelles conséquences sur votre aventure et sur la vie des trois androïdes que vous contrôlez tour à tour. L’avenir nous dira si les événements de Detroit auront une chance de se réaliser, dans la vraie vie cette fois.

Su Switch Runner3 si comporta, purtroppo, peggio del previsto. Problemi tecnici assortiti lo rendono più sporco, cattivo e ingiusto di quanto il gioco non sia effettivamente. Ci si può ancora divertire, ma se potete scegliere tra questa versione e quella per PC... non pensateci su due volte (scegliete quella per PC, ovviamente!).

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is a fine game that makes it easy to get swept away in the pirate life and the thrills of ship combat. It’s a solid evolution on the first outing, though the technical flaws are significant and ultimately detract from the overall impression.
